a tip just in case:
make sure that the gui offset is = 0 and the size is the only thing changing or else the ui will look bad on other devices or atleast look different

use a uiaspectratio to make sure its perfect
a tip for making a 3d health bar is to not use parts but use perspective by taking a square and moving the 2 right verticies closer to each other

@@hoopcentralvids5747 I’ve been scripting for four years now. My only advice is just jump in and Google. Don’t copy exact code. Look at code that is already written and try to understand it rather than just copy it.
@@hoopcentralvids5747 yt vids. Ppl like theDevKing, AlvinBlox,Inoobie makes great turorials for beginner scripters. U can also check out the dev forums. They can help j eith ur sceipting journey. For more basocs u can check out boatbombers Lua Learning (a roblox game). Many ppl csn help u. U just need tk be dedicated to progress :)
@@daq-ua I do backend mainly with a small amount of front end. I can make npc systems, combat systems, and other stuff. Although I’m not open to any more projects atm as I am already working on 3.

if ur using bv for the force, make sure to make the y 0 so that when the character is mid-air, it doesn't increase the distance of the dash. something like: bv.MaxForce = vector3.new(math.huge(),0,math.huge())
Your game will be put under the ANRM Neoclassic detection test to make sure it cannot radiate. It is on the pre-level of 3, so the chances of it being a Post-Level 3 can be high.

As a tip from a scripter, I'd recommend using the spatial query API instead for hitboxes because a part with .Touched can be pretty janky and unreliable.
Thankfully I'm not using .Touched 😄

Some ideas: Make it that you can't dodge the 1st and 2nd m1's but the rest are dodgable. Don't do this: Dash away to dodge. Do this: Make a REAL Dodge animation, and also make a button to appear on the screen to do a punch after dodge. But if the player misses the button, well they get Countered.

Hey sir. I've been wanting to create a fighting game as well but I am still working on my understandings on scripting. Would you like a partner on making roblox games?
I won't. If you want to understand scripting you can do so by practicing in roblox studio. Also if you haven't already then learn the basics on TH-cam. There are many tutorials which can be very useful. Also, (probably) the most important piece of advice I can give is to understand the code you write. If you stumble upon a problem, make sure to solve it and understand why the previous code didn't work.

I dont trust .touched hitboxes because when i use them they fail to register that it was touched. But somehow they seem to work fine for other people

for scripting dashes, do you need to add velocity to the scripts or something else? (im curious)
In my case, I used VectorVelocity.
It most likely isn't the best way to make dashes, but for simplicity reasons I used VectorVelocity.

I don't see why not to use hitboxes for a fighting game, especially if the function for hitboxes is optimized the best it could be.

but i recommend using overlap hitbox, its way better, .Touched is very easy to exploit & sometimes will fail

Learned the basics through TH-cam and some advanced stuff through the DevForum
Mostly started scripting some things on my own then if I got stuck on something I would search similar problems on the DevForum

you should make the game r6 so when you make the animations they can be much better
R6 IS way easier but imo R15 animations are way better
