Absolutely love this type of vlog. We did the same thing with the open concept before it was a thing and we absolutely love it. We went through 5 months of this, but I can promise you it is well worth it! And don’t forget to enjoy the journey in between. You will learn and grow in ways you never thought of. Keep taking us on this adventure with you and God’s speed!

I’m glad the process has been so smooth and I’m sure you being home all the time definitely helps your fur babies. Because if you’re relaxed, so are they. You and your roommate sound like you balance each other out really well

A month is my limit. We are right now completely redoing our old house. When we purchased our new home. We found black mold. The inspector should of caught it. But we had to fix it. I’m glad! It’s really beautiful. We were able to put in what we wanted and I wouldn’t change it. So worth it!
Just had our kitchen done floors painting ect

Ah this brings back memories of my brothers completely gutting an old home and rebuilding it. I got roped in somehow and I feel your anticipation of getting things DONE!
Having just finished a major reno on my house, I totally understand the title of this video. It feels like you don’t even have a house for a while.

I do have a question though! I’m so curious about how you sold your kitchen! Like how did they get all the cabinets out of there without stuff breaking? And what if something does break? So interesting to me!!

Oh, the open floor plan will be amazing! Since you're down to studs, are they building in any niches for your display pieces? All the prep work you've done to keep functioning thru the process should help with the sanity factor. So excited for you!

You know what I would really love to see from you someday is a recipe of success because you honestly have the recipe book and you're using it to full advantage and I want a piece of it, LOL! I am loving every moment of your journey because you deserve it you really and truly do deserve it, and to be able to be a part of that it's a gift from you to us so thank you for sharing that gift but I really would like that recipe book no joke! Aww you are very kind. I don't know that I have a recipe book. I just work hard, have multiple streams of income, and invest well. :) That is literally the recipe book.

He's religious, so he gets some of that mojo, but mostly I think it's his attitude. He never gets mad. He chooses to find things amusing and shrug them off. He obviously works hard too!
I remember when I got my downstairs remodeled, it was crazy! But the end result was amazing. Plus it added a lot of value when I sold

As someone who is renovating her house (by myself with the help of my dad and fiancé when they can) I absolutely love this vlog! I hope to see more! I’d really love to see your progress along with my own 😂 also I love decor channels so it’s like a two for one for me 😂

Personally for me I like more doors and rooms for every purpose and not so much open space. But I like it very much for other people. It can be very great and nice and can look really good.

I love iced coffee it is the way to go - even in the winter I drink it. Wow they really demo'd your place! I am SO behind in videos obvs, life has been nuts here - but I am excited to catch up on videos and see the house progress!!! Kinda late to say hang in there Peter this is going to be awesome when it is all done, but like it is prob already very done now! Lol.
I also collect rocks, fossils, and crystals. I have them displayed in cabinets. I also collect legos. I'm looking to put them in display cases also. I'll be curious to see what display cases you pick out.
I am a Master Electrician ... self-employed for 30+ years..... make sure your electrician bring future circuits to the attic/crawl space upstairs for future wiring. If/when you decide to remodel or add something to the upstairs, you will save time and aggravation of not having to repair walls/snake wiring later. Who knows, you may redo the bathroom upstairs and want a steam shower unit .
You are not the only one I had my kitchen living room and hallway all at once rebuild because of very bad water damage my family and I had to move into my mom’s house for about almost 2 weeks

Take a deep breathe Peter. I have yet to see a Remodel go without a few hitches. Maybe, just maybe, you will get Lucky (did you take some Felix Felicis by any chance?). Good Luck and Best Wishes to you for the Great Remodeling to go as smooth as possible with no hiccups and heart aches!
Make sure you use that plastic film to cover your bedroom. Got asthma from the dust. And probably cover any of your other areas like your working area. You want to clean the areas where you are going to be. Sanity last for awhile. When you are forced to live in a small area. Then you find ways to be away from home. My kids were small when we renovated our kitchen. I wish you well

Your house is amazing. And HUGE. So glad you were able to sell a lot of the fixtures rather than throw them away. The dogs are adorable. I have two westies and one of them tends to be anxious. Like you, I am able to be home most of the time which helps. I'm sad for your birds though, do they stay in the cage or are they free-range usually?

Your house is so big. That's a ton of work they're going to be doing. It will be interesting to see how it turns out. I also collect crystals (and used to also have a rock & fossil collection when I was younger). You could charge admission to your "museum" for extra money sometime. 😄 I like your water feature. I love fountains and ponds, etc. I hope that stained glass window I think I saw is staying.
That is such a great idea! We are buying a house end of year and I usually have people come and just grab what they want and the rest I usually dump. But I’m going to do a sale!
