From the video and the demo, it seems an river city girls inspired game built upon the "the vagrant" game engine. As I was playing the demo, I felt that "something" is missing. I hope that the developers can find this "something" and adds it to the game, because it's a great idea and a great premise to be wasted.
I always liked this game. the wait is freaking looooong... it have very good elements but it somewhat have weird limb animation. Making it looking like an early 2010 game. Hope they can release the full one one day... soon...
Looks nice, but I'm not entirely sure if it's a River City killer since we have Ringo Ishikawa and those River City inspired games by Yeo. That are visually inspired but unique in their own way.
Is this preview based on the Steam demo you mentioned? I wonder if the devs current build has managed to build on the gameplay mechanics, I at least hope they do since even if the story and graphics will be good I don't know if I'm looking forward to a whole game of just the basic combo that's longer than Final Fight... Anyway, I wonder how visually varied the game will be. At least from what I saw here it felt like a lot of the game takes place in pretty ordinary-looking beige hallways and streets, which isn't that exciting. Hopefully there's a greater number of distinct and different places you can walk around and fight in, in the full game.
This is a beta version that the developer sent me, there's more to do than in the demo, but not too much. The game has some variety in the visuals, but most of the fights in the beta happen in those boring-looking halls. I guess this is far from finished, or at least, I hope. I will reach the developer with some feedbacks, hopefully he improves the combat a little bit.
They plan on having it for all current consoles, I'm not sure if they will release them all at the same time or if it will be a staggered release however.

I think the combat needs some improvement, more than the animation. Everything feels very light.. it is a little weird.
