Thanks for the excellent tips shared in this video. Having mentioned that I would discuss the post op complication at the M & M meeting stood out to my CST interview panelists and helped me score well on my interview.

Well Mr radiologist thank you very much for this video. One of the best so far.
Can you tell me which mic do you use for recording and what do you use for editing sound please.

Hello Dr Gao, this is an excellent video. I am applying for a FY1 role and I am confused about how in-depth I should go for the clinical management? E.g I am unsure whether I am expected to know when to involve critical care when I discuss the case with my senior.

This is really helpful. Can it be applied to fy2 urology interview as well? What clinical scenario resources to follow for fy2 or sho interview kindly let me know.

Great video :) can I ask how many additional questions they usually ask in each clinical scenario beyond the A-E answer?

Thanks! I can’t guarantee the exact number, but typically the initial question with the scenario, one additional one with more information after your initial assessment and (for ST3, at least) sometimes a last bonus question if you’re doing very well.
The time really does fly by though, so don’t worry if you only get asked just 1 more question.

Thank you so much for the informative video, Dr Gao!
How much time would be required for preparation, considering I have scored 49 points in my portfolio verification and am currently awaiting the shortlisting process for February interviews?

I would recommend starting preparation now, even if you haven’t heard about shortlisting yet. There are a lot of questions that you could be asked about so, by starting early, you can cover more of them.
For my ST3 interview, I recorded myself answering a different question every day to get the practice in and cover all of the topics. Good luck!

What is clinical governance? How can I prepare for that question?

    • @nunziamorricone4911
      @nunziamorricone4911 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Clinical governance is a systematic approach to maintaining and improving the quality of patient care within the National Health Service.
Add the 7 pillars too whenever you get asked this question:
      Clinical Effectiveness
      Risk Management
      Patient & Public Involvement
      Audit
      Staff Management
      Education & Training
      Information

@@nunziamorricone4911 Thank for your reply. May I know how can I prepare for clinical scenarios? I got one Clinical fellow surgery interview yesterday and I failed that interview. May I know how and which surgical scenarios should I prepare? I am not graduated in UK. Thank you so much. Aung
