This video addresses the 7 Pillars of Clinical Governance - crucial for interviews and also exams! Hope you find it useful and let me know if any questions :)
I can see why you may feel they are alike but they're quite different. Research is where we are trying to find new evidence and information regarding something, whilst audit is comparing to existing evidence and research. So, you may find that new research will help inform audits and set the basis for an audit. Another way to look at it is that research may be something like researching the strengths of different composite materials or the chances of complications following extraction of certain teeth. As an audit, you may then compare your findings to the research. I hope that helps!
what kind of questions of clinical scenarios are asked in dct1 interview...is it speciality based or from all the subjects? Are they similar to those of the ones asked in DPT in ORE part 2?
For DCT, everyone is asked the same clinical scenarios so you don't get asked based on the specialty you want to apply to. Commonly, they will be OMFS scenarios but could be any common scenario you may encounter as a DCT or FD. It could be from any subject :)
Dr prateek your videos are really informative…Can you kindly guide us regarding MFDS II RCSI online exam…plus as a speciality doctor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery can you enter the graduate entry medicine followed by the maxfac training pathway in UK…Thanks

Extremely helpful thank you!!!
Can an overseas dentist apply for DCT? And what are the chances for passing SJT?
Yes they can but it can be a little bit more difficult. The SJT isn't 'pass or fail', you just get a mark that is then weighted against other factors.
@@examinedental thank you!

So what is the difference between clinical research and audit because they seem much alike.

This is very helpful and you have explained this really well but please do something about the background music. It’s too loud and a bit irritating.

HELPFUL BUT THE MUSIC IS A DISTRACTION
The background music is annoying and disturbing.
