The thing is, EO don’t have faculties as far as I’ve read…they didn’t get any from the pope and they are outside the eastern Catholic jurisdiction which is required for validity of confessions. New Advent also says that faculties can only be given to Church members. What is your stance on this? I am confused by both sides, as the SSPX can be a little extreme, but then I feel like some people don’t address their arguments charitably…
