At 4:01 in the video there was an error, should have been "6,000" EURs as a deposit for tourism visa, if they do not return on time they lose the deposit...

While preparing this video with the team, we discussed about what should the message be. For sure we do not support illegal immigrants but at the same time I ask myself, should people born in poor countries, areas, economies accept the fact that they have less opportunities? or should they have the chance to have an equal chance and seek for better life?

I feel there is a lag in the perception from reality. To this date in China there is this perception that the West is rich and China is poor therefore most Chinese people's goal is to study hard and leave China for a better life. That might have been true to a certain extend in the 80s or 90s. For me as an overseas Chinese I see Europe and US as very poor countries now and China as the country of opportunity and a very good life to live. Having lived in all these places, the reality is much different from perception that we've been put in our minds.

Yes, that is especially true when looking at the east coast of China. When you compare Wenzhou today and Prato, there is no reason to come, it is mostly Chinese from inland that comes. After my trip here I gradually understand why some Chinese choose to work here for a few years and then go back home.

Speaking as a Chinese American here. We can't judge Europe so the same standards as the US because the U.S. is a nation of immigrants so we do kind of have to welcome newcomers from around the world as long as they come legally and contribute to our country. However, Italy is not a nation of immigrants its the native land of the Italian people so they don't have an obligation to allow anyone who is not Italian to live there at all, just like China doesn't have to allow anyone who is not ethnically Chinese to live there either. I have absolutely no problem with Italians, French, British, Germans who don't want immigrants in their own native land. My ancestry is from Taiwan and I don't believe Taiwan should allow non Asian people to become citizens or to be entitled to any kind of government benefits, they can work there but shouldn't be allowed to bring thier family there. China and Taiwan should not allow refugees of races that are not Asian.

Yeah except Italy is suffering from massive population decline and will be devastated without immigration

I remember traveling that area quite extensively in the nineties, while studying in nearby Perugia. And remember having seen there lot of East Asians that apparently weren't tourists. Now in my hometown right in the city center right near Aldi and REWE we have an Asia Go Supermarket, which is supplied with fresh noodles, Chinese Brokkoli, enoki etc. what a development. If I just hadn't such difficulties with reading their language;-)

"While some Italians feel overwhelmed by this change"
Why? It's not like Italians are having kids themselves LOL. Most of Prato is probably 50+
