The problem with this mission is that you literally have to be lucky which is pretty annoying, I went over the grass for a split second and the whole car spun out it’s so tedious. (So 25 minutes after typing this comment I beat it and I actually shed a tear)
For people doing this in 2023. Put the gears on manual. Almost every part of the race you keep it in 2nd gear. Only the straightline put in in 3rd, put it back to 2nd in time and brake after the straight line. And keep in in 2nd everywhere agian until the straight line. Then all will say, but why? (Because 2nd gear will boost your car better then 3rd while getting out of the corners) believe me. And offourse, apex, play with tapping while cornering. When you feel you have grip, hit it.🎉

Oh my god! Just finished the race on Classic! Dang! What a rush. hands are shaking lol. Your guide was an amazing help dude, can't stress that enough. It's funny I took 1st place in the 2nd lap and I guess if you never loose 1st place that 2nd car crash never happens. What was insane was what happened to me on the 3rd lap I crashed expecting it to be another failed attempt but then so did the only 2 cars behind me so I was able to recover, straighten my car out and win the race. Man I hated this but completing this game has been a very memorable experience lol.

Thought I was gonna have a literal heart attack heart was pumping started to go numb but I watched some video that lowers your heart rate and was a little shaken up but after awhile I was fine
If you guys are still struggling use the ram button if you start to spin out and use x for example on ps5 you can keep the car steady and actually stay fast during corners use them once every couple seconds during the turns. Do that so you dont slow down to much when turning also when coming up to a turn dont be afraid to slow down its better to get a smooth entry than to drift a very open line good luck everyone👍
"treat it like an old car" is perhaps the most overlooked factor of this mission, especially on Simulation-esque physics which is mandatory for Classic run.

I hate everything about this race and I’m slowly going mad. What I had the most is that very first turn I keep getting stuck on cars and they break and stop me in my tracks 🤬
I know it's been said in the comments but I can't stress enough how important pressing X through the corners was and using the grass in the first section of the race. Did 1 race for practice to get the feel and on the second race I got easily
just beat this myself, for a while there it didn't feel possible. it took luck, practice and PATIENCE. i spent maybe 3 hours on this my coach P's keys to success were -to begin with, only restart if you spin out. (completing laps in races that weren't wins were vital practice for when i finally took the lead) -cutting the grass on both occasions after the first turn (again were vital for overtaking the racers in 3rd and 2nd) -racers will crash on the 1st and 2nd lap, but will NOT always crash on the 3rd lap -letting go of R2 on turns was very important for me, made turns much slower, but also much safer -practice and luck will let you consistently get to 4th by the 3rd turn on the 1st lap. Genuinely good luck to anyone who reads this, because this race is hell and i'm so glad i'm done with it.
As someone who’s completely and utterly TERRIBLE at driving in video games you had me in first by the second lap. I dropped to 4th by the third. But I remembered your tip on approaching the corner so I worked back to second and first crashed on that last turn so I was able to win. I appreciate you and this video man 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Finally beat it holy fuck! Was in second place going into that S on the second lap waiting for the first guy to wreck which he does, but he does it in such a way that he goes right on the track in my way. I hit him, and spin out, but then by a miracle the guy behind hits me in such a way that I get corrected and boosted back up to speed! Took the next few corners a little too cautious and ended up in third place heading into the final lap. Managed to barely not spin out on the first turn and overtook them at the one spot cutting through the grass and kept my lead until the finish. Could feel my heart pounding for that last lap and my hands are still shaking. It's finally over. I can enjoy life again knowing this level is behind me.
Finally did it! Took me years on and off. Biggest part is the corners. Once I got good at breaking and cornering it was just a matter of controlling my car. For the corning you just have to spam the break button like your pretending a semi automatic rifle is a machine gun. If you can't hear yourself spamming the break button on the controller over the sound of the game you aren't doing it fast enough. Use the boast button for a little help on turns but remember if you go to fast with it or press it for too long it will end your race. Also don't be afraid to restart a lot. I just ran youtube and restarted any time I had crashed or was out of 6th place in lap 1. Also at the end keep a straight line and spam the boast button when there are no turns. At the end after the last turn I was spamming the boast button as if it was the entire source of power for the car so it turned the final stretch into something amazing.
One very good tip guys I just finally get it after 2 hours of trying and use the speed limiter for braking in stead of braking u need a little luck and the speed limiter it works perfect !!
I couldn't manage to beat this. Even on Normal i couldn't beat this race. Even when im first, the guy suddenly comes from behind and races ahead of me in the final lap. I don't know how to beat it

This video helped loads. I don't know if this will be helpful to anyone else or not, but I changed views to the first person "in car" view and found it to be easier for me and got it in 3 tries after switching.
I can confirm that is the nice tip. Pressed X whenever the corner seemed too hard to handle and I could manage to gain balance and more momentum on the road. Thanks, buddy!
So we have to win a race from the back of the grid in 3 laps in a car which spins if you brake, accelerate, steer or touch an oppenent car :-) The other cars have better grip and traction and apart from the scripted accidents they rarely make any mistakes. I have done it in 3.5 hours, so it is possible but you have to be extremely patient. The race seems a mess, but there are some working strategies what the video shows. You have to learn the race corner by corner and wait for a lucky run to succeed. Overtaking is only possible in the first corner at the start, later only via cutting through the grass, plus in the left hander before the chicane and in the chicane. The opponents are really slow in the latter two, but they act as moving obstacles, so overtaking can be tricky.

It's a bit funny that every guide online shows how fast you car is. I am spamming the ram button holding the trigger down and nothing I can't even get close to them
Just finished the race In 1 hour and 30 min all I did is after the first turn go on the grass to a short cut and when you hit the road hit R2 and X to stable the car and the second short cut when you will get the lead and keep it like that on every turn brake a little then hit brake(H2) tap it and X also tap it until u stable the car. I hope this helps
Here's some tips: 1.Master the first curve 2. there's actually a cheat here, use ram button on curves, its a friggin speed boost. U master this two, this stupid race is easy (the ai's actually really slow if u abuse the speedboost)
Everything is luck in this mission. The AI is constantly out to fuck you. I swear they just want to ram you off the road. Sours a game that really is great
I finally managed to win the race after couple hours. i was second place for 1 lap, and at the second lap when we got to the 2:15 spot at the video the leading car tried to take a shortcut on the right and went flying lmao i was like yess i get a huge lead after that and managed to stay 1:st place and win :).
Tips that will make you win the race in classic difficulty: 1.Don't be in such a hurry, often going slower will make you manage to get past your opponents. Especially in the corners, if you're too fast, you'll spin. 2. Even in the first few times where you are sure you will lose, continue the course so you memorize the turns and the speed needed to get there, practice is key. 3. On the first and last laps, someone in front of you will always crash, so try to be on the 3rd lap at least in 4th or 5th place. 4. Use the R3 button to check the rear camera to block your opponents, on the straight, they are faster than you and will overtake you, especially on the final straight of the last lap. 5. Try not to hit anyone, you will almost always spin. If you are going to crash, release R2 and try to control the brake, it often helps you not to spin. 6. Use grass whenever you can, grass + X will help you A LOT in overtaking. 7. Always use X in the straights and carefully in the curves, if you use X too much in the curves the car will spin, but train as much as possible in the curves to use the X, this will be completely the differential for you to win the race 8. If you reach the last lap from 6 under, you can restart. 9. Don't be in a hurry, it's often better to go slow, whenever you try to go too fast in a curve or overtake, the car will spin.
I did this without guides. It did take a good 3 hours and a lot of frustration but it's mostly just learning the track and how the car handles. Don't give up guys
*Red car seems to always crash in to the wall for some reason on the first lap *On the second lap close to the finish a car will drive thru the grass where a ramp like bump is there causing the car to go mid air and crashing *on the first lap cars will seemingly crash in to each other" drive thru the grass to avoid getting caught in it so you'll end up in at least 5th place *ramming the cars from the back will cause them to either flip or spin outta control Hope this helps👊🏾
Spent about 3 hours on this mission one evening... Thought "one last try" and did a near perfect run, stayed in 1st place from start of second lap until right at the last second got pipped to the post by someone who caught up with me on the last stright. I should have looked behind me
So what i do is start with a burnout you have to time it a bit becauze if your doing a burnout too long then it doesent work anyways after it starts press the boost button and go to thr left and ehrn they are all turning left you can kind of crash into thrm and keep skme speed but sometimes you can get into 2nd or 3rd right off thr first turn if you hut it right but on a decent attemtp you will get into like 6th place
I was stuck on this for a year.. played it 300 times at least and couldnt beat it. Today i found out a trick and finally won!! If you chsnge the settings to easy amd simulation you can win, around the first corner i was dead last until i drove careful and passed one by one cautiously, by the third turn i was in first and pulled a half track ahead the entire race!! I hope this helps
Why tf is this race so hard?? This race reminded me of F1 game. Just dont go into corner at full speed. Before corner hit the brakes and use throttle control and easy... Pole position ahaha
I find it better to actually stay on the left when you start which makes it easier to pass the other cars in the turn since they all hit their breaks and if you do the break and tap x method you can easily pass them when making the turn... Another good idea is to use the grass after the first turn you can easily pass one or two cars when doing that
Guys. There is also a glitch that you can try to pull it off, look it up. I couldn't do the glitch either but my bro pulled it off. I got Mein Leben on Wolfenstein 2. I could not get past this race.
I was first after a few corners on one try, the banked corner with the scripted crash. Screwed that one up thought. A few tries later I beat it with ease, playing it safe the last lap.

I currently have 21 platinum trophies. Going for my 22nd. This mission is ridiculous. Haven't played this game since launch week due to it being difficult for me. Almost 2 years later I come back just to take 10 L's trying to beat the race. Might rage idk
I haven't attempted this yet, but I'm going for the platinum so classic mode is unfortunately a necessity. I beat the race my first try on medium difficulty so I'm hoping this won't take me years lol.

Something that worked for me was to go through the grasses, where the ai always slow down, got it in 30 minutes

First place crashes in each lap. If you are still in 2nd place on the last lap do not worry!! First place will crash right before the final stretch.

For some people changing camera to bumper can help. Just press left arrow in a game.

One very good tip guys I just finally get it after 2 hours of trying and use the speed limiter for braking in stead of braking u need a little luck and the speed limiter it works perfect !!

I couldn't manage to beat this. Even on Normal i couldn't beat this race. Even when im first, the guy suddenly comes from behind and races ahead of me in the final lap. I don't know how to beat it

This video helped loads. I don't know if this will be helpful to anyone else or not, but I changed views to the first person "in car" view and found it to be easier for me and got it in 3 tries after switching.
It was a lot easier than i expected.
Took 5 or 6 tries.
Tapping the X button (ram) on the tight corners was the key for the win.
I can confirm that is the nice tip. Pressed X whenever the corner seemed too hard to handle and I could manage to gain balance and more momentum on the road. Thanks, buddy!

So we have to win a race from the back of the grid in 3 laps in a car which spins if you brake, accelerate, steer or touch an oppenent car :-) The other cars have better grip and traction and apart from the scripted accidents they rarely make any mistakes. I have done it in 3.5 hours, so it is possible but you have to be extremely patient. The race seems a mess, but there are some working strategies what the video shows. You have to learn the race corner by corner and wait for a lucky run to succeed. Overtaking is only possible in the first corner at the start, later only via cutting through the grass, plus in the left hander before the chicane and in the chicane. The opponents are really slow in the latter two, but they act as moving obstacles, so overtaking can be tricky.

It's a bit funny that every guide online shows how fast you car is. I am spamming the ram button holding the trigger down and nothing I can't even get close to them
Just finished the race In 1 hour and 30 min all I did is after the first turn go on the grass to a short cut and when you hit the road hit R2 and X to stable the car and the second short cut when you will get the lead and keep it like that on every turn brake a little then hit brake(H2) tap it and X also tap it until u stable the car. I hope this helps

U master this two, this stupid race is easy (the ai's actually really slow if u abuse the speedboost)
Everything is luck in this mission. The AI is constantly out to fuck you. I swear they just want to ram you off the road. Sours a game that really is great
I finally managed to win the race after couple hours. i was second place for 1 lap, and at the second lap when we got to the 2:15 spot at the video the leading car tried to take a shortcut on the right and went flying lmao i was like yess i get a huge lead after that and managed to stay 1:st place and win :).

Tips that will make you win the race in classic difficulty:
1.Don't be in such a hurry, often going slower will make you manage to get past your opponents. Especially in the corners, if you're too fast, you'll spin.
2. Even in the first few times where you are sure you will lose, continue the course so you memorize the turns and the speed needed to get there, practice is key.
3. On the first and last laps, someone in front of you will always crash, so try to be on the 3rd lap at least in 4th or 5th place.
4. Use the R3 button to check the rear camera to block your opponents, on the straight, they are faster than you and will overtake you, especially on the final straight of the last lap.
5. Try not to hit anyone, you will almost always spin. If you are going to crash, release R2 and try to control the brake, it often helps you not to spin.
6. Use grass whenever you can, grass + X will help you A LOT in overtaking.
7. Always use X in the straights and carefully in the curves, if you use X too much in the curves the car will spin, but train as much as possible in the curves to use the X, this will be completely the differential for you to win the race
8. If you reach the last lap from 6 under, you can restart.
9. Don't be in a hurry, it's often better to go slow, whenever you try to go too fast in a curve or overtake, the car will spin.
for the people dont worry if you arent first place after first lap because you can still catch up and win :P
Completed on classic on my third attempt, my heart was pounding the whole way through, I got extremely lucky with how the AI drove
I did this without guides. It did take a good 3 hours and a lot of frustration but it's mostly just learning the track and how the car handles. Don't give up guys
*Red car seems to always crash in to the wall for some reason on the first lap
*On the second lap close to the finish a car will drive thru the grass where a ramp like bump is there causing the car to go mid air and crashing
*on the first lap cars will seemingly crash in to each other" drive thru the grass to avoid getting caught in it so you'll end up in at least 5th place
*ramming the cars from the back will cause them to either flip or spin outta control

Spent about 3 hours on this mission one evening... Thought "one last try" and did a near perfect run, stayed in 1st place from start of second lap until right at the last second got pipped to the post by someone who caught up with me on the last stright. I should have looked behind me
So what i do is start with a burnout you have to time it a bit becauze if your doing a burnout too long then it doesent work anyways after it starts press the boost button and go to thr left and ehrn they are all turning left you can kind of crash into thrm and keep skme speed but sometimes you can get into 2nd or 3rd right off thr first turn if you hut it right but on a decent attemtp you will get into like 6th place
I did it finally on my second play-through. I am now going to play the breaking Benjamin song "Never Again" to celebrate
I was stuck on this for a year.. played it 300 times at least and couldnt beat it. Today i found out a trick and finally won!! If you chsnge the settings to easy amd simulation you can win, around the first corner i was dead last until i drove careful and passed one by one cautiously, by the third turn i was in first and pulled a half track ahead the entire race!! I hope this helps

Why tf is this race so hard?? This race reminded me of F1 game. Just dont go into corner at full speed. Before corner hit the brakes and use throttle control and easy... Pole position ahaha

I find it better to actually stay on the left when you start which makes it easier to pass the other cars in the turn since they all hit their breaks and if you do the break and tap x method you can easily pass them when making the turn... Another good idea is to use the grass after the first turn you can easily pass one or two cars when doing that

You can skip cutscene by menu button then skip with a or x
I was first after a few corners on one try, the banked corner with the scripted crash. Screwed that one up thought. A few tries later I beat it with ease, playing it safe the last lap.

I currently have 21 platinum trophies. Going for my 22nd. This mission is ridiculous. Haven't played this game since launch week due to it being difficult for me. Almost 2 years later I come back just to take 10 L's trying to beat the race. Might rage idk
I haven't attempted this yet, but I'm going for the platinum so classic mode is unfortunately a necessity. I beat the race my first try on medium difficulty so I'm hoping this won't take me years lol.
