Got to try it out at Shredfest and it is truly amazing. I know it's cliché to say, but it does really feel like floating. Rocks and debris get absorbed by the tire instead of sending vibrations to your feet and legs. I will 100% be buying it when it drops.
Aftermarket innovation! It is so good when the actual riders get to give input on the development. It is so interesting to watch the different iterations that TFL goes through in trying to improve the ride.
So, showing the world how true innovation is done through rider input, testing, and dedication. Imagine if you will, a company, with market share, that took this approach. Stunning results possible with positive goals. #rigthtorepair means so much more than the slogan. Kudos to the team, thank you for all that you do! Positive Vibration! True Aoxo
Between the WTF rails and the new Hub/tire I think the GT is looking like something I am ready to buy. I hope futuremotion appreciates the extra sales you guys are going to land them.
This looks awesome. How does it affect the motor temps- does it run hotter, cooler, about the same? Also, do you plan to develop this to work on the XR platform as well for all of us VESC folks?
I would love to see this go up a hill right next to a stock GT to see which one overheats first. If this can beat the cooling performance of the original GT then the idea that they only put a larger hub for cooling is busted
Thanks Jeff and float crew... i got to take it on a couple test laps around the Fest. FLOATASTIC! (but as I mentioned to Jeff... I loved all the conspiracy theories. 😂)
Hey guys looks sick would love to chuck this thing on my gt when you drop this animal are we going to get a enduro/sp2 and would that be 11 inch or stock 11.5?
I definitely see the benefits of a smaller hub. As someone who hasn't adopted the GT platform in any way, shape or form, I can see this going a long way for VESC builds on a more GT-centric style, because FFM. Does this smaller hub lower the ride height of the GT at all? My biggest gripe about the GT was how much higher that small change in height feels versus the XR. I rode my first GT at Shredfest last year and was bummed I couldn't make it this year, but I'll be back again next year. Likely I'll get to experience many new community innovations, but nothing actually game-changing from FM themselves.
Closer and closer to a "build a bear" style shop... Another year we'll have TFL motors, hubs, control boxes and batteries with the innards combos ready to buy from TFL. Bodhi approved VESC configuration? Done. A technical Jake board? Done. A Jeff special? Here ya go... I'm telling you it's gonna be like Spotify Playlists but for boards.
I almost can't believe you let Jaime drop that thing. He's a wild one. It'll be interesting to see what tires will start getting adopted by the community to go with this. I might have to order a tire or two before the sudden demand causes prices to rise.
Same. I've had my GT 9 days now. Already have the Enduro, their sidekicks, gripples and the lifesavers just came back in stock. I'm still waiting for the tool kit to be back in stock and I really want some wtf rails already smh.
Just going from high school physics I think it’s it’s the tires diameter above all else. But commenting to get notified if someone with actual brains has an answer😂In terms of physics larger diameter = less torque but more speed. Smaller diameter = opposite.
@@AuRoweoverall torque will be the same if the tire diameter is the same but technically speaking the motor has less torque since it’s platform is now smaller. But at the output of these motors it is negligible. Especially at the vesc level where the true power of the motor is unlocked.
Why haven't you tried out the oneshock gt v2 suspension system yet? That paired with the smaller wheel would be absolutely insane. Surprised noone has talked about that yet
@@resistance156 Most of the manufacturers have an 11x6.0-5. That’s the same tire diameter and width as an XR, but the XR has a 6” wheel. Bonus: the tires are $50-60.

The FOMO is real! So stoked to hear everyone loving the new hub! Jeff & Badger kill it once again! Yeew!
This was SOOOO enjoyable. Thanks for sharing!
Dude's are gunna bonk more money right out of my wallet, yall are killing me.

Aight but what does that mean for tires??? Any 5” that ride like an enduro or like a sp or tp?
That will be an exciting thing to find out! There are a ton of 5 inch hub off the shelf kart tires
First! SUPER excited for this thing to drop 🤙
This might just be exactly what my GT has been waiting for!
I don't know what to say but I love it. Thank you for the innovation float life crew

@@Pyriscent That's already busted- GT runs cooler with an XR hub than the original hub.
@@RealMikeDobbs Interesting, I meant that isn't this even smaller than the xr hub though?
@@Pyriscent Yes it is- but the GT always ran cooler with the XR hub, so we already know they didn’t change the hub size to help with cooling.

I have a Pint x, how am I gonna convince my wife I need a GT?!😅

🤤. Is there a drop estimate and or price estimate???

is there any difference in torque? a smaller hub makes me feel like there should be less torque? how does it feel?
Won’t make a difference as long as the tire diameter and overall weight are the same.

Does this hub make any change for street riders ??
It will carve better more float less jar
Different tire options too.
here's hoping the magnets are upgraded like on the billet wheel 🤞🏾
What prices are we looking forward to for one of these?
As affordable as we can make it
tech rails billet wheel is 750 w/upgraded magnets so prolly around that ballpark
Does it really make the GT faster?
It makes so much more comfortable, stable, and predictable through uneven and chunky terrain which can in turn give you the confidence to go faster
