Personally I think every card looks better with a solid color matte around the pattern paper--but you make a good point re: it beong less necessary when the paper is already contrasted well Gainst the background. We so appreciate all your hard work in preparing all these templates. Thank you !

I'm glad you find the video helpful. Thanks for watching! I also generally prefer mats but like to give lots of options.

Really love your templates for all of the different size papers and cards. I never have to worry about scraps, but I struggle with focal points. I don't have a Scan N Cut like you do and fussy cutting that many embellishments just isn't an option. Would appreciate hearing your ideas about making embellishments for cards. Thank you for putting these together to make working through the excess of papers a bit less daunting.

I am not a big patterned paper person, but I love making backgrounds and using digital images and such. I often use these ideas to use up scraps. Thank you for sharing your talents.

Thank you for the Christmas in July video. I am doing Christmas paper crafting ( cards, folios, mini albums , ornaments) early this year and Christmas in July is the best time to get new ideas from the talented crafty people as yourself. I will definitely be making a few of these cards . Have a wonderful day.

Hi Jess another fabulous tutorial, thank you so much. It would be so amazing if you could find time to do a template for cards using UK A4 card stock. I am certain you would get more followers if viewers could make quick cards without having to convert the sizes from US to UK. I am loving all your content.

    • @JessCrafts

Thank you for the feedback! I did make a few templates with some international sizes but got mixed feedback on how helpful they were. I had crafters tell me they often used US size papers and were comfortable with inches. I'd love if you could share more about how to make the templates better suited to international crafters. Would you want measurements in centimeters? What size patterned paper would be most useful? I have A4 cardstock and can make the A6 cards from it but not sure about the patterned paper. You can check out the previous templates here: jesscrafts.com/resources/a6-osw/

I tried using inches as converting to cm makes no sense, I mean how do I even cut half a mm. I was so proud of myself, but I forgot that the card base was in "American" too. It looked a bit weird on my European standard size card, but it was OK enough. Lesson learnt...

@@JessCrafts Hi Jess, thank you so much for responding, I have papers ranging from 4 x 4" to 12 x 12". I find measurements in inches easier but I am sure I could manage with centimetres too if they work with a4 card stock. I look forward to watching your future videos. xxxx
