I like both! But I would mix the silver embossing snow with the white gel pen to give the effect of stars in the distance and “light” snow starting. I live in a valley so we get that effect all the time

Heat embossing was what got me into card making so many years ago. I'm so happy to see it hasn't gone away completely! Your Christmas scene is perfect for embossing. I personally like the clear sky (no snow), but really like the snow on the tops of the buildings! Another great idea to file away with all the others I have in my head for Christmas. At first I thought you were going to emboss the whole sheet and then cut. That would work for a pattern of stamping. These cards are nice in the silver! Thank you for sharing this process. With the snow is fun.

I ever heat over my mendable work mat because it will warp the mat. I can’t tell what mat you have. I learned about the warping when I washed my mat and left it in the sun to dry. It got a big bulge that wouldn’t flatten.
Just got this set yesterday and waiting for the add on set which mailed yesterday. Looking forward to trying it all

I don't have a misti or other magnetic stamping platform, but I do have a regular one from WRMK, and I just use some washi or painters tape to hold my base in place.
Have you ever had a clear stamp that always seems to get bubbles and shift on you? In some of my Christmas cards this year, I used a small string of bulbs stamp underneath the frame of the corner fold (the corner fold card you showed a couple years back. I thought it'd be cute to have the bulbs coming down from the "frame" in the front). I was filling the bulbs with stickles, and then applying Glossy Accents over it to give it more of a bulb appearance. Came out so cute in a couple of cards. But the stamp kept getting air bubbles and shifting a bit on me. It could also be the card stock I was using- it did NOT want to take ink. So I repeatedly stamped the image to try and get a good layer of ink, but the stamp kept shifting. I had to toss 3 of the cards and start again...and that makes me intimidated so fast- wasting supplies. I know it's just paper, but wasting paper or stickles or ds tape- that has the effect of being doused with cold water or getting in trouble with the parents as a kid. Dramatic, I know, but still how it makes me feel to waste stuff.
It's made by a reputable company so I don't think it's a quality issue- could be wrong. I used flushable wipes to clean my stamps and platform because those and dish soap are the only things I know that won't ruin them. Well, and Rangers stamp cleaner but I've not used that on the platform. Am I using the wrong thing to clean? I can't get a stamp buddy as I'm in the UK, at least last time I looked anyways.
I like them both ways, but with snow is my pick.
Prefer the card without the snow. It seems to take away from the beautiful stamped village.
With snow
I use an eraser to help with pressing when using the Misti. Carpel tunnel makes it difficult to rub with just my hand. The snow is beautiful.
Good idea using an eraser. I hadn't thought of that. Thank you for the tip. I too have carpal tunnel and it's painful.

My preference is the one without the snow. It looks crisper to me.
Love the snow card; it makes the black friendlier, somehow. Last week I did some mass producing and heat embossing, but I have trouble remembering numbers for placement in the Misti. Was it at 6 inches or 5 1/2? So I put down the first card and put a strip of washi tape on each side. Made it very easy to put all the next cards down.
This awesome! My two sets are on their way to me so I’m going to get my supplies ready to mass produce this card. Thieme are my favorite of all the stamp sets you have created. I love the snowy one best but not sure I will have the patience to do that on maybe 25 cards. I will experiment with using white acrylic paint flicked off of a clear block with a paint brush and see if that will work on the black. Thanks for two great stamp sets and the inspiration for my Christmas cards this year. I was struggling with what to do.

Hard choice snow or no snow, they both look great. I might lean more toward the snow background to save some time perhaps not as much snow. Both are pretty. ❄️

I am switching all my embossing powders to small plastic trays with lids from the dollar store so I will sprinkle the powder via a scoop from the tray to the card holding it over the tray. No more random grit on my work surface. No need to get it back in a tiny bottle.

I have seen Jennifer McGuire use a dry erase eraser to go over the stamp platform instead of rubbing it!
