I got my dimple piercings last week and everything you’re saying is 100% absolutely correct even eating is hard. You can’t open your mouth but only half way. Even talking hurts. You have to be very cautious, even the slightest movement can hurt. Also when I bent over to pick something up I can immediately feel the pressure in my face. My cheeks are super sensitive. You also might forget they’re on your face and accidentally hit it. You have to be soooo careful. This is by far the hardest piercing I’ve ever gotten.
@@fuckery92 in the beginning I brushed really slowly and gently. I constantly used my tongue to push the piercing outward as to not interfere with brushing

I have a question!! Is it normal that my cheeks bruised after tightening my rings ? My cheeks weren’t bruised at all, but this morning a ball fell off so I had to put my finger in my mouth to keep the bar in my cheek, so I didn’t close, and I put a new ball on it, and it bruised my cheek and then I just Tightened and my other one in a bruised it a little bit.

My cheeks are 6 weeks today! I’ve had no issues, problems, regrets. Strict aftercare is imperative. It’s time to downsize the bars (flat back labret bars) because I’m biting on them now. The placement is excellent, the bars are super long since there’s been no swelling. I’ve never done a sea salt soak. I use a name brand antibacterial soap and mouthwash with alcohol. Not sure if name dropping is ok. I got pierced a few days after seeing this video! Thanks for the advice! Much love!
Hey boo soooo glad your piercing babies are doing well 🙌🏾🥰, it’s not good to use mouthwash with alcohol in it when you first get them/while they’re healing… but you’ve had no problems GREAT! Definitely get those barbells shortened asap to avoid dental damage. Also Sea salt soaks focus on the piercing to keep them clean and to keep the bacteria down. There doesn’t have to be swelling to them, it’s for the health and hygiene of the piercing. This should be done in addition to washing your face. So glad you enjoyed the video😌

You can smoke but not the first 3-5 days then after that you can but you need to have water to “clean “ (drink) always when you smoke and is also important to eat something cold like ice cream but I don’t say that helps others it’s a example from me

I’m not sure how to give you a pain scale though because I have a high tolerance. But for me it’s the healing part that may feel more sore/painful than the actual piercing.

The swelling in my cheeks was bad, but I managed eating, the venom bites through the tongue muscle were worse, I expected it, I also experienced knocking or snagging piercings, I removed my septum piercing after it snagged first on a ring pull of a can (not a good look) then on an outfit my girlfriend was wearing, leving us stuck together in a very awkward position while I tried to unhook myself, funny, cheeks weren't a problem for oral, but that septum, was lucky she didn't rip it out of my nose! May get the septum redone bigger and just wear a a ring instead of a horseshoe.

Nahhh. I used straws the first day of getting them pierced. All u gotta do is keep ur mouth closed and suxk air with your tongue through ur teeth if that makes sense. No cheek movement. It'll be slow but effective and won't hurt

Hey boo, it differs for certain people but most ppl when they take them out they still have the impression of a dimple because of the hole that’s caused from the piercing. Once My barbells were shortened my dimples showed up right away

Idk if you have had these answered yet, but I bite on mine all the time!! Sometimes I do it out of habit because I chew gum or on straws a lot, and sometimes it’s subconsciously or if I’m in deep thought/concentration on something. And they do start to nest on the inside of your cheeks but not really embed. If your skin is starting to grow over the piercing then you need to talk to your piercer or take the piercing out.

One of my friends had hers for 4 years and they never stopped leaking and swelling up so she took them out. They’ve been out for 8 years now and she has the most adorable dimples from them lol
@@countrysidecoffins2925 I got them professionally changed out this past weekend and they feel great. No irritation or anything ! Just enough cheek room for crusties and what not. Definitely don't change them yourself. The piercer used a long tool to switch them so that the cheek was never without the bar in it. Super easy.

I've had mine for almost a decade ( as well as 19 other piercings ) .. They 1000% should be pierced with a 10g or 12g ... Mine are a 10g ... The bigger the better , if they are too small then they were not pierced right 😭😭

@@countrysidecoffins2925 I got them professionally changed out this past weekend and they feel great. No irritation or anything ! Just enough cheek room for crusties and what not. Definitely don't change them yourself. The piercer used a long tool to switch them so that the cheek was never without the bar in it. Super easy.

Yes if they’re long and have to be “slurped “ to eat 😆 this could irritate the piercings in their healing stage.

Are your cheek piercings 16, 14. Or 12 gauge? People keep saying cheek piercings need to be pierced at a 12 or 10 gauge 😭
Mine has always been pierced w. The 14g hers look like a 16 but I’m just guessing because of how small her studs are.
A 12 or 10 gauge is really thick 😬 cheeks piercings should be either a 14 or 16 gauge
I've had mine for almost a decade ( as well as 19 other piercings ) .. They 1000% should be pierced with a 10g or 12g ... Mine are a 10g ... The bigger the better , if they are too small then they were not pierced right 😭😭
