Hi mate another great vid again im going to the drains next week hope to catch a few and hopefully a big girl will come along for my son to catch will try a popped up bait now thanks for showing us 👍🏻
I wish we had canals like that in the US. Here in Wisconsin fishing is pretty good though. If you haven't done it yet, ice fishing northerns can really be a blast. You can access big ones maybe you can't otherwise.
Great video. New to your channel but loving your content and descriptions of your approach. Have you done any clips running through your set up or could you? Thanks 😊
Fantastic video , recently got into watching majority of your pike videos and absolutely 5 🌟 best on TH-cam so down to earth happy to share little tips and tricks and just keep your videos original. I really like your answer to the question would you collaborate with someone, no need to mate your channel and quality of videos don’t need anything extra than just yourself. Good luck for the season 🎣
Another great video love your content mate keep it up 👍 could you show us how you tie your hooks and Traces on please I did see a video of you doing it other week and can't remember what video it was on?
Hi, Fantastic videos, love the fens fished for pike and zander 30 years ago, re living it via your channel. Any plans to fish the Relief Channel this season, what’s it like now? Used to be one of my favourite places, massive water, very quiet some special. All the best, Dave.
@ That will be a good one, keen to see what it’s like now, interesting and testing water, well it was. I remember it pre intensive farming run off and crabs, was convinced it held a possible record fish, good luck, will watch with interest!
Have you used the Westin camera much yet mate? I've often found the pike end up chasing the camera or become distracted by it over a lure/bait. Not sure if it's the red flashing light or the electrical current they can detect.
Trace = leader in the US. UK fisherman are much more careful with fish than we are in the US. Pike is considered a nuisance fish in my state for about 80 percent of fisherman. I love pike fishing and even carp fishing in US. In the US they shoot carp with bows even with no limit in my state for killing them. I saw you do something with your reel on the first fish... You closed the bail, tightened the drag, and then flipped a switch and caught the bail arm with your middle finger. I'm curious what was going on there. I've not seen reels that look like that in the US but am assuming that was an anti-reverse switch?
I'm learning so much from watching you. Can I ask a question please, I always thought I had to keep all my baits at least semi frozen to hook them up, but you keep yours in a bucket and they seem to be completely defrosted, so I take it that's OK as long as you're careful on the cast and don't try to launch the soft ones too far? ATB MMMD
That second pike had the look of a very big fish in the future.. the eye and head was massive
So many people love your videos mate I've been watching you for years, you put so much time and effort in and certainly reap the rewards
Thanks mate
Great session, back in uk sat and fishing local park Sunday. Thanks for sharing your experiences and hope to see the monster mummy pike soon.

You float rod is it a lead your using or a float weight because at a glance it looks like a lead on a running lead setup
Lead
@obsessionwithangling thankyou
What rod and reel you use also I love your videos

Semi frozen or soft doesn't make a difference to be honest
