It's not just "G's" anymore in master modes. It's speed and the ability to seperate but that's only because large ships with s4 guns have the same range as a little fighter with s4 guns. I guarantee this will change and big ships will end up being able to hit fighters at the same range fighters can hit large ships.
Yep or the power plan could just provide more power to allocate. When you allocate it to weapons it could multipliy the range and fire rate not just the number of shots
Great points. Being a bullet sponge does sound good for a drop ship/ sandworm fighter. Also the turret firepower might out fight a fighter like a Connie. Possibly… idk I do want some tankier ships, they are supposed to be tankier when engineering comes out whenever
Tac really looks good in paper but i worry about those turret arc. If the s5 guns can't shoot forward, its going to disappoint a lot of buyers. Edit: hmm. They really going to make tac slow. I was right to think that this ship will only be a heavy dropship/forward base.
Not necessarily not if piloted correctly. I counteract fighters in my 600i by decoupling my flight, going max scm speed then turning 180° to return fire. They can't orbit correctly and I can control what face of my shield they see and they have to fly in a straight line to catch up. After awkward maneuvers to get angles. Not good staring down the barrel of x3 S5s.
I've heard another TH-camr call that pig-fighting and I love it. It's definitely worked for me against a few players in fighters. I'm sure more skilled pilots would still be able to pick me apart doing that though. @@Auldus
@@marcuswynn89 I mean that's half the stuff in all games lol. It's eye candy, I get that it doesn't matter to combat people but for casuals this stuff does. I'd rather have it than ED designs.
Multiplayer, limited firing arc, sucks. From other games (Planetside) what happens on a ship like this is you run a rear gunner, a side gunner, and a pilot) Nobody wants to sit through an session being an offside gunner. The only time you would completely fill a Gal gunship would be as an infantry drop, and then only leave one side gunned to orbit as support.
I would agree in the present state of the game that I don't see it being a very effective combat ship at least in space. For fixed locations, that can't run from you the bullet sponge mentality makes sense somewhat. I also would be careful in the way of thought that CIG doesn't play their game, it's more accurate to say they don't play the same version of the game we do and they often build ships and concepts as their purpose gets fleshed out. We see cargo ships going through this evolution with things like the iron sides from Drake, fully supporting tractor beams and cargo bay access while also giving thought to the security and theft of that cargo. My thought is that G-force thrust will likely mean less in the future or that larger slips might see allot more slow down in the future anyways. Who really knows, you have to buy a ship for the game you are playing now and while the TAC has attractive options being a mix between two ships that are pretty useless in the game right now does not do the ship any favors. Numbers can change allot though, the spread sheet war has been really heating up as they try to wedge in master modes into something workable. It is pretty hard to plan for the future of the game when that seems in flux most of the time.
i can see you don't know much about combat so let me help you out the current starlancer max has 4.2 g's of forward acceleration which is less than the Polaris. Since the tac will likely be heavier due to "armor" it will be slow which means that any ship can run away from you if they want. you wont be able to control a fight at all, thus making it not useful as a combat ship
@@marcuswynn89 ...You are suggesting that fixed locations such as bases or space stations will...flee? Sorry man, I get what your saying and your right but I would say ship to ship battles and boarding's are likely not the TAC's focus but it would be nice if it could. Just busting your chops. :)
I got both variants , and fully expect them to be nerfed into the ground after sales , also terrible turret placement , shes going to be a loot pineta dor anyone who can lurk low and behind ...ahh well we'll see
yeah i hate tank ships because most idiot think a ship with shields can win.... i can allow someone to pick any ship for me with shields removed long as it is smaller and has minimum of 10 more Gs i will win and im not good enough pilot to join avenger squadron yet. shields are great for class matching but for fighters vs any other size or class is an promise to win..... when we get armor it will come with resistance doing damage mitigation based on alpha damage that is based on size of shield or armor thickness.... such as medium shields will small cannons because the cannons will have minimal alpha strike to do some damage to medium but high DPS low alpha strike small guns will do nothing to medium armor or shield small guns of any type will never harm large shields or large armor... this does not excuse the need for some tweeks for flight and or guns because a hammerheads soul purpose is to be area denial for fighters small ships but they cant ever hit small ships so its a sign CIG needs to adjust flight model and almost everything else to get something realistic and fair fun rewasonable
First comment, enjoy the content.
i really appreciate it
I love how CIG skipped most upvoted questions and they still picked so lame questions by themselves 🤣
I know right, bunch of lame ass questions
Yep.
Every Single Time.
Pisses me off.
I swear the people that ask these questions don't play the game either.
these questions are from the employees
yeah, the ability to ai blade turret question is kind of useless. CIG already stated you will be ai blade turret.

They would need to change the power delivery system of the weapons, for example tying it to the size of the power plant

@BadVoodoo11 I have been advocating for this for a long time but the shills keeps saying but muh armor

As long as the M2 and A2 exist, this is a poor choice.
@Kyle-sr6jm yup definitely
even ground turrets will eat that thing alive it won't have enough acceleration to avoid being shot
This is an air to ground ship imo. Tbh all large ships are food for light fighters
ground turrets will destroy it because its slow

8:20 God forbid they add stuff that makes a ship look cool…
whats the point of it being "cool" if you can't even interact with it?

There is no point to drop ship game play because you can shoot everyone on the ground from the ship

A2 exists, can be bought in game. Enogth said 😂
facts and it has size 10 bombs
I think the mini freight elevator, could something like package delivery mission, where you drop some ammo next to the turret.

How the hell would anything have 1000s of countermeasures .. especially when it has PDCs..
I have the max and was considering the tac but only for the medbay. Kinda seems worthless now so ill stick with the max cos its a cool ship still
И ничего про нижние турели. Если они не будут поворачиваться вперед - они бесполезны.
Is the tac going to be released this IAE?
Probably not
@marcuswynn89 ah okay..thanks for letting me know
It makes no sense to put countermeasures on a capital ship. You are not going to flare/ chaff any ir radar or cs missles with a ship that size
inB4 the nerf
It’s already nerfed in concept

when we get armor it will come with resistance doing damage mitigation based on alpha damage that is based on size of shield or armor thickness.... such as medium shields will small cannons because the cannons will have minimal alpha strike to do some damage to medium but high DPS low alpha strike small guns will do nothing to medium armor or shield small guns of any type will never harm large shields or large armor...

I mean it's meant to be flown in a fleet with support, kind of obvious
Redeemer or TAC?
Neither
@ 😮
Good call on the Starlancer not having any clothes. The hype was high. I got a CCU as I had my doubts. I will be melting that .
yeah at least its not a rug pull, they are telling you that it sucks before it comes out.
2 excellent gun ships had to be nerfed to make this ship stand out, and it still fails. No thx.
yeah this one is really bad, glad i didn't buy into the hype
