MSQ loved to use the ''she hated change'' as an excuse for not, at the very bare minimum, moving her to a bigger aquarium with other orcas. The reason she hated change is obvious. The only change she knew was negative. She was ripped away from her family and then had to watch as Hugo smashed his skull in and then could only watch as he was taken away. That was the only change she ever knew, loss, pain, death and grief.
She died fairly recently, right? Thank God she's free now, and it would be amazing if it became illegal to capture and keep orcas, dolphins, and any other animals that are living in conditions that aren't in the best interest of the animal.
She died in August. And thankfully, aquariums like Seaworld wouldn't DARE to make a return to the salish seas. They won't even aknowledge that they as an aquarium are partly the reason why the southern residents are endangered.
J pod has only 23 Orcas that remain. Imagine their numbers today if those 12 weren't taken. 7 captured, 5 died. I visited SeaWorld 1 time about a year before Blackfish came out and vowed to never return. To SeaWorld defense, they do some amazing things for sea wildlife rehabilitation today but the orca event was just disgusting.
Places like Seaworld decimated this population and still refuses to aknowledge their part in it. By the end in 1976, there were only 71 animals remaining and an entire generation of young whales had been taken out. That, combined with the losses of their main food source, means that the SRKW will likely go extinct in the next 20-30 years.

And now it is too late. 😢
There is still hope*****.
Go tjeck out 'The Whale Sanctuary'
It is being built out of response fir the tragedy of Keiko (the ocra from Free Willy)
Как человек относится к животным, так он относится и к людям,
Putin must have killed alot of animals, then.
These poor souls❤️😢
