- I explain “how to make a phrase with a short scratch sample”.
If you look at scratch competition videos on SNS, everyone is very skillful in manipulating short scratch samples.
So I'm going to introduce some scratches in a series in the future!
This is the first in the series!
Don't forget to subscribe to my channel, Also, super thanks will motivate me to edit my video, if you don't mind.

So glad I found this channel, I feel like a lot of turntablist content has gone behind paywalls and finding a whole bunch of new content to digest is motivating me to get on the decks even more than I usually do 🔥🔥🔥💪🏽
Thanks for the comment! This channel also gets ads, but the revenue is low😅 I am happy to make videos that motivate everyone. I would be happy to get feedback on the video edits.
Dope!
Thanks man!!
Would love to see some advanced combos with vocal phrases ! Those last videos you put out that had 15 different combos per video was perfect !!!
Thank you! I will gradually raise the level of this series.
Plz more phrase scratch tutorials
Yes, I’ll post some phrase scratch tutorials!
❤❤❤
😊👍✨
Wow! I see your popularity rising @cultrenge, and it makes sense. Your attention to detail, quality editing, and progressive approach to explain Skratches step by step in an organized and cohesive manor leaves all the other Skratch training videos in the dust.
Thank you @cultrenge for your dedication to sharing the knowledge. We’re all looking forward to what you will be teaching next in this Skratch-Phrase series….👊🏾🐻
Thank you for your kind comments! I am conscious of explaining things in more detail than I think I can. So I welcome feedback from subscribers of my channel. I hope to present my next technique this week.
Great Chanel.Thank you🤜🤛😌💪🥛🍀🍹🍤🍁🥳👍🫡😊

Btw isn't that like an OG Flair ?
@@vikortjallman4103 og flare ( or reverse og flare) is and sounds totally different
I tried it with OG FLARE, but the sound had no impact, so I compared it to Transformer scratch.
👍✨
@@ignitore agree looked up d-styles tutorial on it and is completely different
Keep Going ❤️🔥
Yes sir🫡🔥
Give this dj a belt drive and a PMX 2200 and he’ll rock the same... you make perfect and stylish even the simplest scratch.
😆😆😆 I'd like to try it once. I also want to convey the importance of simple SCRATCH. Thanks bro!
@@cultrengeI must confess i’m in love with SL 1200 mk1 and I’d like to own one some day just for the satisfaction to experiment it in a scratch perspective . And btw its design is so nice 🤩.
And u’re right, without simple and clean fundementals u can’t progress well.
I had never seen the SL 1200 mk1 and it looks great! The arm design is especially nice. Scratching on this turntable is too cool.
@@cultrenge It’s one of the first real direct drive tables, this and the sl110 used by Kool Herc if I remember well. The funny thing is those tables weren’t built ford Djing but were so good that quickly became the standard. This until the birth of mk2, the first real dj purpose direct drive table.
Thinking the mk1 is from 1972 is quite amazing compared to the other tables on the market. Belt and pulley driven tts were primitive compared to this beautiful tech. It has limitations like rotative +- 5 % pitch, non Quartz locked, antivibration shock absorbtion can’t be compared to the mk2 but it’s very fascinating IMHO. I saw only one dj on YT using this table for scratching, dj Takayasu. I asked him why he does it but he never answered me... 🤪
You are very knowledgeable about the equipments! I can only speak to minimal usage impressions😄 I've seen DJ Takayasu's Dj Battle video a long time ago. I also tried to find some videos about him on TH-cam. You are right, he is scratching with SL1200MK1. He must have a great love for his equipment too.
Sensei, takusan no waza morota kedo, mada dore mo hissatsu waza chau nen! Demo, kansha yade!😅🙏✨
Soyanah! Demo ore Hissatsu waza mottehende!
@@cultrenge Maji de!? Honja, sensei to issho ni hissatsu waza sagasu tabi kimari yana!💪😎✨ Demo, sono mae ni kansha yade~🙏🤣
Omosirosouyana! Kansha arigatouna😄
Good stuff. Would you consider making a a scratch sample file that we can use with your videos?
Good idea, but I am concerned about the licensing issue.
@@cultrenge I doubt it Dj Qbert gives away Beats and Samples all the time.
I'd love to do it too, as long as there are no licensing issues.
@@cultrenge There would be no licensing issues if you distribute it for free, just like a mixtape.
@@cultrenge We Transfer is the one his using and just provide a link.
Your Japanese aren’t you? The Japanese are best at explaining and breaking things down into pieces. Do the vocal bpm match instrumental bom?
Yes, I am Japanese. I think the BPM of the sample and Beat are correct, but I am not looking at the numbers, I am explaining by feel.
