I am so happy to hear that Dr. Paeschke recognized the great need to have screenings done to give a Doctor and a patient the kind of information they need to prevent a heart attack. I have experienced a heart attack and the Friday before my heart attack I had an ECG done by my PCP and it didn't show any abnormalities. That Sunday, I was rushed to the hospital with a heart attack and had 3 stents placed in my right coronary artery. My PCP was aware that my family on my dad's side all had CAD. My PCP just seemed to discount my concerns about my family history. Heart screening should be as common as colonoscopies!

Five ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐stars Dominique!!!! We need this information for our health and that of our family. Thank you. Prevention and Preventative measures are more manageable, than the medical intervention that is needed during the medical crisis, when its often too late. Education AND knowledge is KEY !!!! 🙏♥️😊

Boy oh Boy does this hit home! I have been on this exact journey since July- randomly requesting a calcium score and doppler of my carotid just to make sure I was healthy - in turn, opened up a whole can of worms I had NO idea existed. I am not overweight, cook most of my own meals, have NEVER had a bad cholesterol panel and have NO history of heart disease that I know of, in my family. I was In shock when I was told my calcium score was 230 - in short, I have atherosclerosis!! I have requested a CIMT and was completely dismissed by my PC and my cardiologist -ugh - thats ok, I am headed toward wearing a Holter monitor for some strange arrhythmias first - then I will be seeking help from a Dr. on TH-cam! smh - Good grief - imagine if I had never gone down this rabbit hole? Absolutely Women need to take heed to all of this! Thank you for making this video - so many lives could be saved. Scheduling a consult NOW!

I totally agree with eating whole foods but now I’m hearing about the importance of women eating animal protein for strong bones. Beef is apparently the best source. I am eating more steaks than I ever have my entire life, though I like chicken and fish, too. I need to be carnivorous while eating plants and grains. I have osteoporosis and will not stop eating meat. Read Gabrielle Lyon, Forever Strong, A New Science-Based Strategy for Aging Well. Seriously, there are so many approaches to take; it can be conflicting but what’s important is understanding your own body and what works for you. Dr. Lyon would be a great podcast, also. This was informative. Thank you.

THANK YOU for this. I recently had a spike in BP, only realized it when I went to 'urgent care' for something else. Worrying about any of this was NOT on my radar, despite family history (paternal), which I dismissed as not applicable to me because I eat very well, get lots of exercise, great cholesterol numbers yada yada. I need to hear everything y'all discussed and make lifestyle changes (instead of living in a kind of denial because my clothes still fit and I can go-go-go). THANK YOU. What a nice doctor, too. I'd definitely go to her.

With regard to good sleep, how you react things and how you take care of your mind during the day, which starts after you woke up till you go to bed, will influence the quality of your sleep at night. Our problem is that we sometimes forgot to tame our wild reacting mind triggered by multiple stress levels during the day. Unstable mind will certainly drain you down even after 10 hours of sleep. If your mind is clean and balanced during the day, less than 7 hours of sleep can give you enough energy to be able function the next day.

Thank You for this wonderful conversation about heart health 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
The toxic food supply here in North America is of a concern to everyone.
I chose to follow a plant-based food plan because of a health issue in 2000.
After some research, I came across information regarding the vibrational frequency of anything that is considered to have a heart.
When you consume this vibrational frequency, you are consuming the decay, the disease, the violent dismemberment, and the death of the individual living item. Which in turn transfers to your cell structure.
Then your very own vibrational frequency is lowered into the RED ZONE!😢

It may work for you but not for everyone, it would be great if there was a one size fits all, i did try it and my arthritis kicked up badly and sadly inflammation markers went through the roof. I worked with my doctor and persistently tried and was strict with my self but it just didn’t help me, for me as soon as I went on a plant based diet my overall health improved significantly and inflammation markers went down, was disappointed as it keto diet actually helped couple of friends of mine.

Old people were not healthier, they looked very old attheir fifties unlike nowadays

Wow, comma I didn’t need to hear some hard advice because I am a firm believer and we as the patient have to advocate for ourselves. And we have to ask about test to be given so that we can be better advocates for ourselves and if you find a doctor that is resistant, find a new doctor plain and simple. Also know that if you’re going to advocate for yourself and require certain things from your physicians, your dentist, anybody that takes care of you your pharmacist then be prepared to do one of two things, either you’re going to accept what they do and move on or you’re gonna choose to do something different knowing that choosing that something different might cost you out-of-pocket Because the insurance company isn’t gonna pay for it but again it’s about advocating for ourselves! And my question is in today’s generation and society why aren’t our younger doctors recognizing and implementing instead of as your guest is a older physician and wants to make changes because she sees that we need to make changes that as you state in this video we’re behind the curve! I have said that in regards to Germany since I was over there in 1992/1993. I knew then that America was behind the curve and that we could learn a lot from the European countries. I think this goes hand-in-hand with the unfortunate death of the CEO from UHC, but I also think it should be an eye-opener that we as Americans want to do better with our health we need our doctors to do better for us as well along with the insurance companies helping us to take care of ourselves because the more we take care of ourselves, especially at the younger age the less problems we have as we get older

I don't think it is a realistic recommendation for everyone to eat plant based diet or to become a vegan. I think it has to be everything in moderation in terms of diet. Red meat such as beef, pork are known to contain bad cholesterol or saturated fat which we should reduce from our diet both portion and frequency. Eating fish, which contains good cholesterol, and eggs can give you good protein source and many other health benefits.

Thank you Dominique for this guest and her information. We always need the Truth in health information. Especially as women, in our age, and what tests are most important for us. It's so much more than the standard cholesterol panel. It's also lipo-protein a, HS-CRP, fibrinogen, homocysteine, etc. Most functional MDs are great in determining your "true" health. And always to improve our eating and lifestyle habits as a strong foundation. Thanks again. The VAP profile of your LDL cholesterol is very important. It shows how much is " fluffy" , the good LDL cholesterol portion, and how much of the LDL is "dense", the bad portion. YES, We do have a portion of our LDL that is beneficial to our cardio health. Truly !!! 🙏🥲♥️
