My goodness - I only just got the notification for this video! And I can't believe how much is gone since you last filmed this area! All those waterfront homes closer to the pier - they're fighting a losing battle.. They'd have more chance of trying to hold back the tide than they have of saving their homes from the power of the Pacific Ocean. And where your old apartment once stood..My God - It's finally reached where those buildings actually were! And that house further upright next to the gulch.. The Swimming pool was hanging in there for such a long time..just hanging in mid - air, but it's finally gone. I'm so grateful that you have continued to monitor & document this tragedy that cannot be stopped. I hope that lessons are actually being learned from this! I live on the opposite side of the Pacific.. South Pacific, actually, and some parts of coastal Australia have areas that are susceptible to erosion from wave action, but nothing on this scale.. and we are entirely surrounded by oceans.. But your channel grabbed my attention years ago - it's so sad to see, but at the same time it's riveting viewing and I can't tear my eyes away, so I'm always glad to receive a notification : ) I was wondering if you might consider doing a comparison video..? Maybe, like a split-screen for viewers showing your first run up and down the coast, and replicate that same flight-path to show the difference between then and now? That would be so cool - and heart-breaking at the same time. This is a cool video too, though! Thanks for posting : )

Thank you for sending me the link to this video. It is just fascinating to me how much erosion has taken place in such a short period of time. Excellent video and, yes I'm a new subscriber. :)

Same here - it's unbelievable how quickly nature is claiming the coastline. It's sad to see, but at the same time it's riveting viewing and I can't tear my eyes away! But I've been subscribed to this channel since the very beginning. Glad you decided to join us!

Nice flight to the pier and back. Afterwards the scenes showing huge amounts of erosion should be a concern to all those who live nearby. Thanks for sharing !

Never buy land or a home that will certainly be gone to erosion within two generations. Pacifica was developed no earlier than just post WWII: When you build this close to the shoreline of an immense ocean with daily tides (built by eager developers -- who made their money and left decades ago) this erosion is not just 'possibly' expected... it is a when, not an "if."

I feel so badly for the owner of that blue house. What was once a stunning property is now someone's nightmare.

Need to see before and after of all these homes/lots, with dates. That should wake some people up, to Mother Nature's intentions for the W Coast.

@@FlyinCameras I know. I meant in one video. Gives more perspective. I've looked at a lot of your videos, and they are an amazing testament, but don't forget the attention span of most internet users. They won't search them out. Most of the other videos I've found, don't show much.
