Truly what my perception of climing is, true inspiration and deep meaning in what he says. Im sure he's as happy about his sends as he is about how Andrea Cossu made the documentary so fitting to his vision about climbing and that spiritual aesthetic. 10/10!
Masterfully edited and "written". Poetic feel but still showing pretty much the entire route. Imo lots of climbing films these days cannot balance those two parts well. Also so smart to show in the beginning that the top isn't just a walk in the park making the ascent that much more nerve wrecking since a fall there would have be truly heartbreaking. And fliming from an opposite side rather the the normal top down was nice. Very impressive climbing by Sachi and splendid story telling AND climbing fotage by Andrea Cossu
These is fkng poetri, I mean it's profound and powerfull narrationd and way to see and live life, a way that's strongly needed these days. Profounds respect to Sachi Amma sensei 😇
such a pure climbing focus, something that's hard to balance in this modern world sometimes!! Great film, i would love to try these routes, and experience that place.
I think he said "Although I'm sure there are things that still would pleasantly surprise me there." I think in reference to competition climbing. hope that helps!
doesn't make any sense to cut the final ascent - why? anybody who is interested in seeing this video wants to see the climbing in every detail.. i can't describe my disappointment in this otherwise good documentary
I don´t like how a big company is coming after climbing. It was marginal. Branding in the mountain has always been about good performance. This dudes are gonna bring fashion into climbing.
and what's wrong about it? I like both things, why can't we combine it while respecting performance, being performance first, fashion second, but hell yeah, why not?
Alberto G yes. I’m lying. I’ve only been living and climbing in the country for the past 15 years but yes, I’m lying. Haven’t figured out my motivation for it but when I do you’ll be the first to know.

クライミングを通して、感じるものの大きさを、1番強く訴えかける映像でした。
夜が明けていく感覚と同じものを感じました。
ありがとう。おめでとう。
oh wow that was a young Magnus there congratulating him at the world cup victory
Brad Barnett why did Magnus quit competing?

Any japanese speakers know what Sachi is saying from 9:48 to 9:55?
And btw, this is the most beautiful climbing movie. Thank you.
"In the following year, to my surprise, I was able to become the overall winner again... but"
@@ItzSkillful thank you!!

Beautiful autobiography.
Thank you very much to the athlete and filmmaker, it is very beautiful. There are a lot of things that leak out of this movie, it is very moving.
2:19 nice work!
Great film, Sachi has found the true spirit of climbing for himself.
Amazing piece of art, thank you, very inspiring and honest!

Amazing climbing, amazing climber
Really amazing film. Absolutely nailed what climbing is about!
Did he suggest a grade for the route already? Great film, really enjoyed watching!

I think it's Rise (Sho), 9a+/5.15a
this is beautiful
There seems to be a missing subtitle at the @9:50 mark. Wonderful film though!

Sachi's level of English is really impressive

💪
What climbing is all about.
The wall to the left looks like the better line....
It’s really sad to see five ten go down hill. Adidas has ruined one of the best climbing brands.
alex dunn I’ve heard lots of people say this? Maybe because it’s a big brand takeover? Or has the quality dipped?

‘Coming after’ ? I think you’ve got this wrong.
Adidas owns 5.10. They’ve been here for a while. It’s why most of the Japanese pro climbers wear adidas clothing.
@@FocusClimbing what a liar. They wear "The north face". Just go see the videos

Hi young Magnus Midtbø! 9:28
also, wasn't jakob schubert there as well?! crazy to think he's been on the circuit for that long!!!
