01:26 - making the bottom layer

06:03 - tips for unmolding the soap

*** RECIPE ***
My total recipe oil weight = 1350 grams
I divided the recipe into 2 parts & made each separately:
The bottom is 1/3 (450 g) & the top is 2/3 (900 g)
Olive Oil - 35%
Coconut Oil - 23%
Lard - 25%
Avocado Oil - 6%
Cocoa Butter - 5%
Castor Oil - 6%
* If you don't want to use lard, you can try replacing with 20% shea butter and 5% more cocoa butter
* Recipe is in percentages so it can be used for any size mold. Help with converting percentages: bit.ly/2DaKDz3
Superfat - 5%
To calculate your sodium hydroxide (NaOH), you can use the soap calculator at Majestic Mountain Sage (bit.ly/36kAlda).
Distilled Water = 2 x NaOH (33% lye solution)
Essential Oil Blend:
Sweet Orange - 4 parts
Cedarwood - 2 parts
Patchouli - 1 part
*I avoided adding any orange essential oil to the white soap

Thank you so much, Laura! What a kind and thoughtful comment! You just made my day. Truly, thank you so much and thank you for watching my videos! ❤️
Oh, thank you so much, Sherry! ❤️
The first (and only) time I used an acrylic mold, I could NOT get the soap out of the mold! I did everything I could think of, to no avail. BUT I didn't try refrigerating it. After watching this video, I think I'll try that mold again. And will refrigerate it for a while before trying to unmold it. Thanks!
Stunning and elegant ❤
OMG it's so beautiful 😍 thanks for sharing 👍

You're such a great video editor! And those owl molds are so cute! Great job 🥰
Thank you so much, Ellen! That’s so kind of you to say! I worry I get carried away with my editing. Haha. ❤️
The soap is so beautiful. I love it .
Thank you!!
Gorgeous! I just started soapmaking late 2018 & am just getting to where I want to try swirls. The most I've done with additives is an exfoliating coffee soap. This really makes me want to face my fears & dive in! So pretty!
Thank you!!
Oh just so pretty Holly !! The colours are just amazing !! 💕😍💕
Thank you so much, Teri!
Beautiful as always Holly! Thank you! I always learn something new from your videos!😍
Thank you so much, Jodi! ❤️
This video was great! I appreciate how you changed up your editing this time. I hope you are having a good time experimenting with how you make your videos!
Thanks!!
I've watched this video hundreds of times, it's my favorite soap. In addition to the wonderful soaps, the videos are super professional and informative. I also love your soaps because you use natural colorants.
In this recipe, can we replace illite with Brazilian clay? Forever a fan...
Beautiful soaps!!!😍😍😍👍👌
Thank you!
Looks really amazing.. I've not at all tried cold process method.. Till today i only use soap base to make my own customized soaps.
After watching your cold process soap making videos I feel more confident to make my own soap bases. Thanks a lot for your videos with helpful tips❤👍
Très beau savon , Suis impatiente de l’essayer 😍
I had a really hard time unmolding a soap I made in an acrylic mold. It didn’t want to harden. I will try the salt and fridge ideas. Thanks.
Can I have please help here...1/2 tsp it is a tea spoon or a table spoon ? And the abbreviation of PPO what should that means? Thank you a lot for all your answer 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks so much for sharing the acrylic mold. I’ve been intrigued by them for a while. I’ve used HDPE molds with out lining and enjoyed them but they did not leave the soap as smooth as this acrylic did. I always enjoy your work with clays, I am sure your soap slides like satin on the skin.
Thank you! I was really pleased with how slick the sides came out.
Beautiful
Love this soap! The mold looks great, really like the idea of being able to see so well and fully disassemble when complete.
Beautiful soap.
Thank you!
These came out beautifully!😊
Thank you!!
I LOVE OWLS
Beautiful! I love the colors in this soap!
Thank you, Belinda!
Very beautiful !!

Thank you for sharing. Your videos are inspiring.
Thank you for watching!
Your videos are so mesmerizing to watch. And these swirls are just exquisite💕💕
Hi, Holly. I'm a big fan of your work! If you don't mind asking, one question about this recipe. When you divide the recipe, what is the proportion you divide the lye, is the same for the oils?
This is so pretty, reminds me of a gemstone (the top part)!
Thank you so much, Glenda!
What a beautiful bar 😍
Beautiful job Holly! Loved the whole process. Great inspiration for me. ❤
Thank you so much, Karen!
Your colors are always stunning!

Pretty music beautiful soap☺️
Thank you!
Wow!
Gawd I love your videos!
Awww thank you!!
Love it!
Холли, какая красота😊 Вы волшебница!
Thank you for your videos. There are so few soaping videos using clays as a colorant, so your videos are appreciated. Can you use Moroccan red clay, Brazilian red clay, or French red clay in place of the Ilite clay for similar results?
Love this! Can I replace the cocoa butter with avocado butter or Palm?
Good job
The video didn't start playing, but I already clicked liked. Hahahaha
Forever your fan ❤️
Absolutely gorgeous... May i ask you the size of the individual bars.... They look just perfectly sized... Thank you
perfect!!
I absolutely love this! Do you think it will work with M&P too? I put a lot of complex embeds in my M &P and I'd love to be able to see what I am doing.
Hi Holly. I'd like to try this soap, is the Lye 33% for both layers? Sorry if that's a silly question, I'm learning still. Haha! Thanks for sharing another amazing video.
Can you help me to understand how you did the lye mixture when you stated you dividing 1/3 on bottoms and 2/3 on top. Would I divide out the oils the same and utilize the lye accordingly?
