    Thank you 😊 I went ahead and purchased Holocaust by campfire to go with Us History 4. I will also look into the book suggestions. We are just starting History 1. I sure appreciate your videos and all you do 💜

    I always find that the mini units are so meaty especially these histtory ones! I love them 😊 tx for sharing!

    I am so happy that they started allowing the mini units to be purchased as single student units now. My son is 1 year behind yours so we have no use for all the other levels.

    My son in 6th and knows more than I do about WW2
    He loves to listen when we read from Mystery of History 4 with my 11th grader because it gives great details about the leaders 😉
    Did your son glean from this even though he knew a lot?
    I have not looked into this but am going to a convention where I think they will have this😉
    Thank you for sharing!!

      You should definitely check it out. I think he liked it so much because he already knew a lot about the topics that were covered.

    Hello! I was wondering if you’ve ever looked into Generations homeschool curriculum? If so what are your thoughts on it? 🙂

      I have looked at it recently and it looks wonderful. The price is what was holding me back. I know a lot of people are promoting it right now.

    How would you compare the Gather Round units to Campfire units? We're partway through our 3rd Campfire unit (enjoyed them a lot!) and I'm looking to next fall and curious about Gather Round. I will have 3 high schoolers, 2 middle schoolers, and 2 elementary kids in the fall.

      I like them both, but they are quite different. The newer units from Gather Round are written better. The older units sound more like a textbook.
      We really like to alternate between the two companies. With Campfire, we just use a simple notebook to document our work. With Gather Round, the student notebooks are already created for you.

    I have been watching your videos on Gather Round.
    My grandson is near your sons age. We are new to homeschool after years in public school.
    We have chosen to begin with North American Forest Animals, we think we are doing the Good and the Beautiful math.
    I want to stretch out the unit studies and glean all we can from them. One concern is a lot of handwriting my grandsons struggles. May I ask is the only curriculum you use?

      For 4 years, it was the only curriculum we used. We absolutely loved it. A lot of the time, I would have him narrate and I would write for him. Since we started high school, he wanted to try other curriculum.

    Can all 6 units be used for a full year of high school US history? Also have you used gather round to create a world history curriculum? If so what units did you use?

    • @HomeSweetHomeschoolLife
      @HomeSweetHomeschoolLife  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, all 6 US History units can be used for a high school credit. You may need to add books, documentaries, etc. to meet the hour requirement for a credit.
      You can also use it for World History. I would do Ancient Civilizations, Vikings, Middle Ages, and Renaissance and Revival.

      This is exciting. Theres a time and place for standard books but I like this idea. It seems kinda like Guest Hollow. How long does each book roughly take to finish?

    • @HomeSweetHomeschoolLife
      @HomeSweetHomeschoolLife  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jamalproductions2723they usually take around 4-5 weeks.
