    What not to love ??? 70 chevlle is hands down my favorite yr for chevelle. Gorgeous blue paint, 5 Spoke wheels. You always have great music. You could throw in some classic rock every once in awhile. My suggestions for cars is more MOPARS. Thanks Shawn

    I'd love to know the fuel economy around town 😳. My old Fairmont 5L V8 did about 12/13 mpg so I can't imagine this glorious beast. I'm glad my Stinger does a lot better.

      Had that happen to me. This idiot down the street from me had a raggedy Honda with a fart can muffler. He thought that car was hot. Drive up and down my street 24/7 with no license plate. The cops got him then he got evicted from his house. SMH

      @BLUBLUD sweet car for sure. I remember someone I went to school had a 70 454 with the cowl induction hood and he could pull the front wheels about 6" or more. Of course it was not stock. But it was a badass car. Black with white stripes and BLACK SABBATH painted on the tail of the trunk.

      @Joey Balas Yes thats why I believe alot of the GM cars hooked better on the track. Myself have owned several uni- body Stangs and that was their cryptonite. I actually broke the a frame on one them racing it😝. I had a Friend who had a 69 396 Chevelle who had to chain his motor in because it once broke both motor mounts and the engine turned sideways 😳. He won the winter nationals with that car. Everyone knows Gm cars were cheaper to race. Ford did not make nearly as many preformance cars designed to race as Plymouth, Dodge, or Gm. But when they did they went all out. I love em all. If u ask me Pontiacs and Buicks made some of the fastest and consistant
      Factory cars.

      Well 30 mpg on the hwy . At 75 85 miles an hour. Well it broke .50 miles and it fun on the phone . Legal in texas still hahaha poped a fuel pump 25 years ago in an 88 xr5 .loaded . Wife driving. ... ist anniversary . Oh she makes too much money .yep unibody let go. A long time ago 38 mpg. On hwy top end 118 miles a hour. L.o.l. lead the pac .1 29 to 135 . Ever do it again nah to old too boring .hahahah. the wife .....

Unfotunatelly i live in Italy, and motor Swap in this state is illegal, But me and my friends make a swap ( with a "similar" motor like a 327 to 350) or cam swap carburator to injection. We love american Cars 😉

    If I remember correctly, Chevelles aren't sub frame cars. So they wouldn't need sub frame connectors. I'll pretend I didn't hear the question.

      You are correct no subframe. I UPGRADED to a LS3 pulling a little over 650 Horses I blocked in the frame for support.

      What's a subframe and how can you tell if a car is subframe? What does that even mean? I'm new to cars. The car I'm looking to get is a 79 Camaro and I wanna find out of it's subframe or not

      @@EtechnoTechno underneath the car the front and rear rails aren't connected with a center rail they use the floorboards to connect both front/ rear rails. When you build them like that the car flexes and bends especially during cornering but it will flex/bend all the time regardless

      I think that's just what he started with, not what he ended up with. And he said it has a 3800 stall on it, which you wouldn't have a torque converter on a manual. Sounds like a 3 speed to me.

    Beautiful car. The only thing I would change is bringing the exhaust to the rear with those iconic cowbell tips.

      They handle great also, for a big car. I had 2, 70 SS Chevelles, a 396 and a 454, like others I wish I had kept at least one of them.

      @@tesla416 Late 80s/teens I started driving and by 21 I had 8 67-70 Musclecars. I was collecting for the long haul early in life.
      However...making chit pay keeping my own place, cost of reg, upkeep insurance and storage just couldnt do it. Killed me to sell them i still have dreams of remembering some warehouse where they still were...all dusty but ready for me. Then I woke up.

But they all sound exactly the same, no uniqueness, no individuality and no effort spent in making a car have it's own sound in regards to cam, muffler, exhaust size, compression ratio etc, etc, that's all i meant.

      He mentioned the sound of the cam to which the owner responded that the exhaust really pepped up the sound which of course helps the cam. There wasn't a specific question emphasizing the details.
      Anyhow, the owner may have not built the car himself but picked out what he wanted to his liking for the build. Doesn't take away from his enthusiasm or credibility to own the car. Not everyone is going to know the lift and duration of their cam anyway.

I'm at car shows often and half the guys right by their cars don't know their cam information off the top of their head. So that makes them lazy asses? You're knocking on the bought not built but it doesn't mean he has less of a right to own the car than someone who built it.
      Jay Leno hasn't built one car. He may say oh this Chevelle here in my garage has a Comp custom grind cam. So he doesn't know the specs of it...should that take away from anything in that he didn't build the car himself? It's okay to have experts do their thing for someone to own a car they like. If everyone built their own cars they wouldn't have custom shops around.
      I agree the guy should've maybe at least known the brand of the cam, but as far as the whole bought not built thing, it doesn't matter if the guy didn't build it it's his money his car at the end of the day.

      The Ferrari or Lamborghini is for an entirely different type of person. Those are designed to be a comprehensive performance race car. This SS can essentially only go fast in a straight line. They are entirely different products that cant be compared.

      I seriously doubt that will happen. This car ain't stock. The QA1 suspension seems to work well and you junker with an LS will most likely not handle the power you just tossed in. Goodbye transmission and rear end.
      This Chevelle has a lot of good parts to handle the big block power.

      Like my neighbor with a twin turbo v6 2010 Camaro dynoed 770 hp and has yet to beat either a newer Camaro SS or sadly a 2016 and up Mustang GT because they lay it down repeatedly and he cant put a good pass together or shut up about the power. This Chevelle with all motor would be very consistent with a good driver and hurt a lot of feelings.
