If you think the octave chops are insane, check out the semiquavers (=sixteenth notes) in the middle of weird fishes: th-cam.com/video/XeKfPVQDoQs/w-d-xo.html At 155bpm, that's approximately 10 notes per second. I still can't believe it's real. I've never seen anything like it before (and I've been playing piano for 40 years).
I lost my shit immediately when you were able to convey the ambient stuff at the beggining. Seriously impressive shit, you are the definition of musical.
Really encompasses the full scope of the whole arrangement. Gradually surrounds the central piece then expands into a blooming onion of musical stuff. Great job!
The layers!! I got so excited when I realized you were playing the intro that comes before the piano. Your version is a HUGE improvement over the other covers. Really really impressive. I'm always inspired to play after watching your videos. I'll have to try learning that intro, and the way you played the vocal melody under the arpeggio rather than an octave higher. I think that sounds a lot better. Also the link to your Patreon is missing from the description :)
I sat, quietly, looking at my screen, listening on my headphones, incapable of moving, hypnotised, like the time was stopped and the universe around me would cease to exist while I was watching and hearing this.
This cover is the best I've heard of this song. It captures the creeping intensity of the song in a way that is difficult to capture with just piano along. But you pull it off here. Excellent work!
Had to pick my jaw up from the floor after the faithful rendition of the outro. How does one capture dissonance and reverse melody on one hand while holding the melodic fort on the other, is beyond me. Bravo!
I'm working currently with the scores that Sequoia gave me recently. The adaptations are not easy to play, but his work and writing are incredibly detailed and beautiful. These excellent transcriptions and recordings deserve a real piano (not a Kawai). Besides, after 3 years I see only 20000 views here, and a little more for other sequoia's videos. It's a shame that most people prefer easy and empty versions of this great music.
Insanely good - the way you captured the effects at the beginning and throughout the song just makes it so much more immersive to listen to. And doubling up the melody in the chorus - that was incredible. It added so much depth to the sound. Incredible cover man, keep it up🙌🎹💯
Fucking perfect! When you hit the B at the end for the sliding note at the end, I crossed my fingers that you'd also play the A where the slide ends at 5:21 and you did! Great cover
This is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!! I’m so glad I’ve found it, this cover is the best I’ve heard.. I’m going to learn it, love this song sm, thank you for this cover❤❤❤
your piano covers of radiohead songs are baffling, i feel like in listening to the actual song, you notice every detail in the song. could you ever cover Go Slowly?
Hi!!!. I almost desuscribed because I didn't know you changed your name. ¿Could you give me the sheets of all your Radiohead Songs?. There are for my students, here in Argentina original sheets are really expensive. And I think yours are very good. Wait for your answer. Best regards.

@Alisha:3 Steven:3 I'm not sure where I'd quite start with making tutorials of my somewhat detailed arrangements and, to be honest, I've not the time to spend making such videos right now, but I'll certainly think about whether I could do such a thing at some point in the future....
@@SequoiaSounds perhaps giving your view on certain techniques instead of full song tutorials would be a better way to educate people and waste less time. Just a friendly suggestion :)
@@SequoiaSounds only saying this because a lot of people don't know where to start if there's specific 'requirements' in order to be able to play the songs they wanna play.
This is a great example of a song for which a perfect rendition of original to piano just doesn't fit. What I mean is, you could try to make an arrangament which isn't a complete copy of original, and tune it more for a solo piano. Your covers are still pretty damn awesome, and maybe even best on yt.
@Zac Thank you very much! It generally takes me the best part of a full day in order to transcribe, arrange, learn & record a single track. Some of the more complicated ones might take me a little longer, but this one was fairly simple on the whole.
Your covers are so much more detailed and accurate than anyone else's I've seen on youtube. I'm shocked you haven't blown up yet
@Dylan V
Thank you! That was very nice of you to say so!
Agreed
shoutout to Thom York. He should see this. Beautiful work, man.

Loved your comment! Thank you so much!!
These are the best Radiohead covers I’ve ever heard, wish they were on Spotify so I could listen there with the rest of my music
I got the chills when you started to play the arpeggios with octaves and only with your right hand at 3:57. Holy sht, u are amazing.
Thank you so much, Jimmy!

What makes a Kawai not a real piano?
You're my favorite pianist on TH-cam. Thank you for all the work you've been sharing here through the years.
wow this is magic. Feels like you play every track of the original at once.
Brilliant voicing. How you made the melody sing from the central voices, exquisite.
Man this is epic, although I'm only nine I still love radiohead.
