    You have some really clever ideas that I'm going to steal for this year's show LOL! I've been making my own 1/2" clips from cutting down couplers, but the conduit hangers are a way better idea!!! Thanks so much!

    Just a thought, one simple thing that we did was lay out the props before installing and spray paint the wires to match our siding/brick. It only takes a few minutes and makes them blend in really good :)

      Thanks. Showstopper I used 1/2” emt with the same brackets I used with other props. Used parachute cord to hang it from an eye-bolt in the peak of my roof. Next year I’ll move the EMT higher on the prop and cut it shorter on the sides. And add some tape to the ends of emt so it won’t scrape against the house.

    Great video -- thank you for sharing! Do you leave the brackets on your window trim year round?

    • @StevePetrucci
      @StevePetrucci  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you. I do not. I’ll take the brackets off but leave the screws. I’ll fill the holes with dielectric grease then replace the screw. This will help prevent water penetration

    Very informative video.
    What paint did you use to paint your trees with?
    I have been searching for green trees to purchase and would only find the white coro.

      Thanks for watching. Any flat color outdoor/plastic spray paint will work. Prior to painting the eyes were brushed on. I used a fine grit sandpaper to scuff the surface just a bit. Held up well so far.
