I spent hours trying (unsuccessfully) TRYING to figure out how to do this. I have a longer-skirt suit...and want to add that multiple box pleat at the back. It's a Blk& white glen plaid skirt suit... I am adding some trim, better buttons...giving it sort of a Chanelish vibe. Wish you would teach on how to turn sew-up button holes into functional button holes on sleeve cuffs on a skirt walking slit/vent. You are an excellent teacher!! Should I buy a serger? Do I absolutely need one?
Thank you for the kind compliments 😊 Now pleated vents will be easy :) I will add making fake button holes real to my shooting list. I would say yes to a serger. It will make the finishes on your edges so much nicer & your clothes will last longer with a nice edge finish inside. It’s not an absolute cause there are always things like bias binding & linking shears or the zig zag stitch.
OMG!! Is there no iron that doesn't spit or leak??? If you know if one, let me know. I bought an expensive "no drip" Rowenta, and it started leaking the minute the warranty ran out, lol. Great tutorial, as usual :D
Ugh. irons. lol. This on is great. I just didn't let the steam in the tube out enough before i used it. Try pressing your steam button a bunch before you use the iron. Maybe it has condensation built up in it?
Thank you for your lesson on adding pleats to a skirt, your lesson was very informative and very clear to understand 👍👍❤️
@@angeladwyer4483 excellent 🎀 Thank you for watching :)

This is beautiful! Do you have any advice on how to do this with a full lining? ❤
AThank you for this lesson. I just subscribed. Just a quick question though, vcan this be added to a lined skirt?
Hi. I am assuming I could add thus to a split front blue jean skirt. It is a little tight when I sit down. If not any suggestions?
You totally can!
How to add an insert to pants with a side zipper to make the waistline wider???
I will add it to my list!
The back of a waistcoat?

That happened with my Rowenta as well!

I will have to plug mine in and see if it does that. I haven't used it in a while.
