now in this video i will try toi explain to you guys how to upgrade your cluster on the 11-14 charger or 300 into the newer style cluster. Hi i do a swap in my 14 chrysler 300 to an 18 cluster but im having acc/fcw problem and buttons on steering wheel only work with tazer plugin i can get that fix?
Sir does all steering buttons are working after installing new cluster
The new Challenger gauges with work on the charger also
Yes just the gauges but obviously you would need a new charger bezel sometimes is a better deal to buy both together from a part out car unless youre getting the challenger gauges for a steal
If you get a new uconnect will the newer apps work and be in the car

Can you upgrade to the 15+ steering wheel and have all buttons work that way?
No sadly the 15+ steering wheel bolts right up but is completely unfunctional nothing that im aware of can make the buttons work for the 15+ steering wheel

did you have to select cluster swap with the tazer on the old gauges before you put the new one in? or were you able to do the swap, then use the tazer to click cluster swap?
I was able to do it after the install

Im actually a v6 bro 3.6 it was 5k for the whole kit and tuner and installed it myself. Im waiting to talk to my tuner to get the e85 tune and push a little more. And yeah my friend just got a scat cluster for 100 bucks i think
If i have a 14 300 can i change my cluster to a 15 cluster. Guys at mopar told me i couldn’t bc it’s coded to the 15 not the 14
Dealers are always gonna say its not possible because its not meant to be install in a older model but yes it is possible to do
what does the red tapped in wire do that plugs into your cluster?
It was from a previously installed aftermarket alarm from the previous owner but that was all removed

Mine is a 2013 and you should be fine to swap it out i believe 2011s might have some issues but if its a 2012 youre good to go
@@RacingPassionMovement after looking at the tazer price I ordered a 2012 charger red cluster instead hopefully it swaps out the same once I remove the side tabs

@@RacingPassionMovement I did the swap bro came out great curiously enough though the center screen stayed blue/black I guess that means swapping the charger radio in wont change it red/black either
Great to hear bro. And you are correct you will keep the colors of the 300 not the charger ones
And can I buy just the cluster without the whole dash and just swap those out?
So without the new style bezel you will have to make some modification to the old one, i tried doing that and it looked horrible tbh but it is possible to do if you trim the left side of the bezel
Ok so I have a 2014 300 base model will it work for me? Also is it possible to upgrade from 8.4 Uconnect screen to the 8.7?
Yeah the gauge cluster will work. 8.7? Only screens that fit are the small 4.3 and 8.4 uconnect from 11-14 if u want the newer style ones u need to fabricate an adapter harness theres only like 2 persons that have figured it out

Yes just change out the bezel
Do the mileage change with whatever the old cluster have or stays the same as your original cluster mileage?
It changes to what the new cluster was. U can use an app called alpha obd to correct them

I just swapped out my 2014 Chrysler 300s cluster to a 2015 version. Only issue is none of the menu buttons work. I’ve read where some people tried fixing the issue by installing a newer wheel, but it not solving the issue. What did you do to solve the issue. If you already said how and I missed it, I apologize.
You need a device called a tazer thays the only way to get the buttons to work. Changing the wheels doesnt work yet

I also have a 300 2014 swap cluster to 2015 my issue is the top cover does not fit what did u do to make yours work?
U need the upper lid from a 2015+ model
Can I use my same Uconnect out of my 2011 and will it show the updated cluster features
Yes the uconnect is not changed at all you will keep everything the same. It will not show anything from the new cluster it stays exactly the same. The cluster does have some menus in it tho but nothing on the uconnect. You can get the srt features on the uconnect with the tazer

Is not the same connectors. It is possible tho but you would need to rewire everything pretty much making your own harness but it is possible to have it working

I try changing my cluster on my 14 300 it work but some features don’t work. Also u ever try to add a rotary shifter I haven’t found anyone that done it
What features are not working? Also is not possible unless u swap the whole transmission to the new 15+
What about the button progamming?
Once you have the tazer plugged in press the cancel on the steering wheel and the traction control under the screen at the same time and it should program the buttons

Yes they fit perfectly
I put a 2015 challenger cluster in my 2011 pursuit but the cluster has an error that wont dissapear it says service transmission.. nothing is wrong with my transmission i have the z automotive tazer
The 11s have a different wiring system that might be why. U mentioned u have a pursuit, im guessing u have a column shifter? It might be throwing a code because of the column shifter. Missing a switch or something

Actually i got the parts from a local junkyard the bezel had some broken tabs that i just superglued and the cluster was a lil scratched up i got them for 150 for both after some negotioation
Can you change the splash screen with the Z tazer?
I have not found a way to do it. I dont think you can since I believe those options are stored somewhere else in the new car

Yes, i have tried with the tazer selecting different splash screens and reseting the computer, waiting key cycles and nothing it just wont work on a 11-14
Does everything work on the cluster? No warning light come on?
Only warning light that should be on would be the airbag light beceuse im not putting back the stock seats or roof airbags but it will be turned off once I put some resistors. Once project is it should have no warning lights on

Would the hellcat charger cluster fit my 2011 300C plug and play?
Yes it would!! If u can find one definetly go for it

It will not say hellcat and it will work but later models (18 and up) might give on some ocations some errors like key not in vehicle and weird stuff every now an then

What if you have the 4.3 screen and slot?
You would need to cut where the gauge cluster hits the bezel so it sits flush or swap over to the 8.4

Sorry one more thing, in theory, could you cut the 2015 bezel and the current 2014 bezel in the middle area and use the 2015 bezel for the dash cluster and the other half to keep on for the radio side? I know there would be a cut line through the middle but would that work?
I mean technically yes i dont know how appealing it would be lol

Yes! Mine is a se model as well you should have absolutely no problem

15-16-17-18 anything newer MIGHT give you some bugs 15 and 16 is the most compatible
Cool video are these clusters plug and play no software or firmware to mess with?
They plug and play just fine only issue is the steering wheel controls dont work. Theres a device called a tazer that unlocks a lot of things and with that its fully functional im waiting for mine to do a follow up video
Cruise control and radio buttons still fully functional. Arrows are the ones that dont function without a tazer

The steering wheel of the new 2015+ you can have it but no buttons will work, it will fit but it is incompatible at the moment
The cluster is plug and play, but if you want to control the menus on the cluster you need to use the tazer to make it work
So if I was to install I couldn’t check tire pressure or use any of those bottoms or will all steering wheel bottoms work
Correct. Every other button on the steering wheel works except the arrows. Unless you use a tazer which I highly recommend anyways to add so many more features
What would the tazer do?
To make the arrows work?
The tazer will allow you to use the steering wheel controls(yes the arrows) it has an option called clusterswap that pretty much makes it fully functional. On top of that a Tazer will give you many more features like srt pages, sport mode if u dont have it, activate paddle shifters, backup camera, and many more i recommend going to their webpage and seeing everything it can do for your car
So how are you able to navigate through with the tazer if the arrows won’t work? 🤔
To activate cluster swap you press cruise cancel and the traction control button
4:10 bro what is that red connector you got going there. What is the purpose?
I honestly have no clue what its for I wondered that myself when i saw it im guessing it was either a dealer security system like what they use now adays in case you try to hide the car or a simple alarm system that needed that input. As of right now is just useless nothing connects to it

What about the new 8.4 screen from the 2015 into a 2014 is that swap easy
The screens are not compatible i have seen 1 person transfer the whole screen and headunit but he had to make a custom wiring harness and repin everything is not plug and play
Wish he would show a video I have the whole dash and want the new 8.4 to work on my 2014
Yeah imma look at the wiring diagrams and try to source a new one with android auto see if i can make something work
