I broke my leg and had to have a rod and screws in my ankle and knee….it brought me back to stitching. I’m sending prayers. I have a new stash of Pirate Robin floss. I love it ❤

I've cut my widely spaced variegated floss to allow me color placement, fun to manipulate it to my point of view for the piece. Mine was done for wording. Agree, Convalescing is a major adjustment when it's for a long period of time, and frustrating, but you'll get through it. Hang in there.

Hi Sarah. Your autumn bee is absolutely stunning. I am so sorry you are not able to “walk”. I severed my ACL a few years ago and had surgery also to do reconstruction. I totally understand how you feel. However, us as moms it is soooooo hard not to do what we normally do and have others help us. But we have to learn when things like this happen that we have to do what the doc tells us as it is what is best. I had to recover away (at my parents) from my husband and 2 boys after my surgery. That was awful. We live on the 3rd floor apartment and I couldn’t do stairs. My parents are in a ranch house so it was better. And they live an hour and a half away. Hang in there. It stinks I know. But just think how much stitching you will get done. 😊. I can’t believe we are in the fall season now.
The other stitching Sarah mentioned your mishap on her FlossTube. I have been there (broke my foot) minus the surgery a few years ago. If only I had been cross stitching back then as I would have gotten a lot done. Take care and thanks for sharing your WIPs and finishes…all inspiring😊!
In March of 2020, I slipped on an extension cord in the garage and broke 2 bones in my ankle and tore a ligament or tendon (I can't remember which). I had surgery the next day & I'm held together with some hardware. Originally, the doctor said it would be longer before I could put weight on it, but it was "only" about 6 weeks before I was in a boot. I hope your recovery is speedier than predicted!
I just got the chart by Liz Mathews that you showed. I can't decide if I want to do it on the two different colors, or all on blue. Yours is looking so good, I just might do it. I can't make up my mind. But it is a perfect fall stitch. Sorry to hear about your broken ankle, but glad that you have good helpers at home. Take care!
So sorry about your mishap. Broke a bone in my foot, wore a boot for 6 weeks. Not fun not being able to walk, not to mention frustrating. Yesterday was the first day of fall, our temperature was 91!
I can't believe it's in the 90s and it's FALL. I'm so sorry you broke your ankle. I broke my tibia plateau in February I was non weight baring for 6 months. So totally understand being stuck. I'm still dealing with non healing. The plates and screws are what is all that has me upright and moving. We are going to make a decision in December about what to do if it doesn't start healing
