can you tell me HOW you got 5 pin din midi to work with the Raspberry Pi 400B??? And the audio?? I did not buy this unit because it did NOT have midi and DAW musicians in mind..
Raspberry Pi 4B board has 4 USB ports, I just have an old Roland UM-1G USB MIDI interface plugged in. I have an old cheap Behringer UCA202 USB audio interface plugged into another USB port. They both work "out of the box" on Raspberry Pi OS (The standard Pi OS, based on Debian Linux). I have another video on my channel showing the bits and pieces I use in my so called home studio. I poke a bit of fun at myself by comparing with Espen Kraft's studio. Pi 4 is a bit under powered for running VST software synths, but is adequate for MIDI and multi-track audio recording with some effects.
