The brother in the first story is one big sociopath; no remorse, a skilled manipulator, and a very good chance that he might punch her sister should she admit to that mess. They might need some help.
Exactly my first thought. A total psychopath. No way this is normal behaviour for anyone.
Uhm... please don't attack but quite often psychopaths is often confused with sociopathy. Sociopath's have emotions but it's to an extreme, like anger or rage. But psychopaths don't have emotions and are manipulators for their own benefits, I think that's the more correct term to use this story.

That brother in the first story is a monster. I do understand from where his gf comes from. It's not easy to see through a manipulator and they mess up a person at their psychological level. His gf might never be able to escape if she had been through psychological trauma previously and manipulators usually attract these kind of people. He should be in a psych ward tbh.

@Joan In Florida Yes, it's her choice, but, she will not "deserve" the likely abuse that this sociopath will dish out. "Deserve" is your word, a rather harsh judgment. I once felt as you did, until I found myself in an abusive relationship, I do hope you never have to experience something similar to know real empathy.
The brother from the first story was very cruel. I sincerely hope OP goes no contact with him and found a new boyfriend.

I can completely relate to this. My boyfriend and I had been dating for about a month and his ex girlfriend came up to me and told me that he cheated on me and that he’s been texting her and she showed me text messages (I later found out were fake) I have experience with cheaters and it is not fun at all. I stopped talking to him and we had basically broken up, although he is not the type of guy to cheat at all. He is the kindest guy I know. Instead of permanently shutting him out I decided to confront him. I’m so thankful that I did. The look of pure shock on his face is something I will never forget, he was speechless, and he denied it all. I didn’t know wether or not to believe him. So I decided to take a step back and think more on it. His ex girlfriend is very very petty and she was mean to me even before I started dating him. I found out that the texts she showed me were faked and that he doesn’t even have the app that the messages were on. He apologized to me countless times and promised me he didn’t cheat. I believed him and 7 months later we are still dating and I’ve never been happier.

The 'brother' in the first story sure is a piece of work. Would have been better if the poor girl it managed to manipulate broke up with that trash. Second story basically sums up my relationship with my sibling. We used to be enemies always tearing each other's hair. Now we're pretty much on good terms. MOSTLY.😂😂.

How in the world could her boyfriend believe her brother's word over hers? If that's the case then he never really loved her at all. I've actually had this happen to me in the past too. I was in 6th grade and I was going out with this girl who I really did love at the time and my friends decided to play a very cruel prank on her and tell my girl that I was cheating on her and just completely dogging her out. My friends they all lived in her neighborhood on the west side so they had full access, but I lived on the North side and cellphones weren't even a thing back then. The year was 1998 and I was just 13 years old. So the next day she just broke up with me out of nowhere and didn't talk to me anymore. When my friends finally told her that it was a prank and that I never did anything like that she come running back to me trying to act like nothing ever happened. I easily saw what type of person she was.

I don’t agree that he never loved her. He seemed to have really felt betrayed.
Cheaters lie and deny. The boyfriend believed the brother because obviously a cheater wouldn't confess to cheating, so in this case believing your significant other isn't really a smart option. OP even said that her brother is a master manipulator, the boyfriend is also a victim, this too was his relationship ruined by a lie, and thinks that his ex cheated on him. If he ever found out the truth, I can imagine the guilt he would feel for not believing his gf. Sorry about your experience tho, the girl should have definitely talked to you after she found out it's a lie, and atleast apologized.
personally, i disagree with the "never really loved her at all" thing. I mean, by the sounds of it, the brother was very good at manipulating, and his story was very real-seeming and believable. Not to mention, the brother catching the sister cheating is actually something that you might tell the partner as a respectful thing to do. Plus, even if you believed your partner, it'd always be in the back of your mind, and you'd never get over it. Being in a relationship where you don't trust your partner isn't usually a good one, and you don't have to stay in it.
Well I kind of get the bf as well because cheaters do not admit and so maybe that's why, but I also get your point. He must've felt betrayed and these feelings kind of messed him up. :(

the brother in the first story had me so enraged,cause i know the pain of growing up with a manipulator who does not care about my feeling. i nearly clicked off the video cause my emotions and feelings of frustration and anger from back then started resurfacing.the only thing that most of us end up doing is just sticking up with it till we can move out.easier said than done.

The difference of siblings jokes between the first and second story lol the second one is so cute tho it's just like how siblings argue and at least she/he admitted to deserved it at the end. Meanwhile the first one, HE NEEDS SOME SERIOUS HELP. Every sociopath needs help.
I have a slight suspicion the brother in the first story has ASPD (Antisocial personality disorder), I'm leaning more into the psychopath aspect since OP says he planned every detail out and managed to convince the ex boyfriend for, possibly even til' today, that she has cheated. Plus, OP uses the word "manipulative" a lot and says that he has no empathy for others, so… yeah, I think the brother is more than just mean, he's possibly seriously screwed in the head.

You’d think the first poster would bargain-I’ll tell your girlfriend if you tell my ex-boyfriend. I also get the boyfriend’s doubts, BUT I don’t see how it’s possible to have a lasting relationship with someone who doubts your integrity. If it were me I might have gotten a recording of a conversation with the brother where, whether he admits lying or not, it is fairly clear he DID lie (when she begged him to confess and he laughed at her, that’s pretty telling), and I’d give it to the boyfriend-right before I kicked him to the curb. It might hurt at the time, but better to end that distrustful relationship.

my bf (of 12 years) brother did the same as in the 1st story. He told my bf that he saw me kissing a dude in front of the movie theater. I was there when he sent him this lie. I said to my bf "ask for a date because i want to know i did not know i did this" so he did the date was a weekend me and my bf was together ALL THE TIME. Then he tried to say that my bf had cheated on me of course i did not believe him. My bf told me that he has done this before and did so he could take his gf so hes plan was to "steal" me from him. Did not work.

My brother is 6 years older than me. My mom says when I was a toddler he had been messing me. I waited until later when he was absorbed in the tv and I crawled up behind him on the couch. Apparently I yanked his head back by the hair and punched him. So I completely believe the second story.

Second story: A 2/3-year-old child is not that strong but 9/10 is not that tough. Why would a kid that old bully a baby/toddler? Yeah, the older sib deserved it. The baby could have been seriously hurt.
Two of my friends in school are twin siblings they pick on each other and play pranks and mess with each other but they never actually go too far both of them know that the other is just joking and the brother is sorta emotional so they make sure not to push it and even if the other finds it funny the siblings always sincerely apologize for messing with each other right after they would never go as far as the guy from the first story

the brother in the first story actually seems like a narcissist and manipulator. since it seems like the person telling this story doesn't act in the same way, i'm rlly surprised that the parents would only raise the brother to act this way. so i believe he's a narcissist bc you can't be born a manipulator but u can be born being a narcissist. and bc only HE acts this way, it makes me believe so. i think he just started being manipulative as time went by. the brother rlly needs some kind of psychological help ASAP!

I can see why people would be furious if this happened to them, but I can't imagine ever doing something like that. My thought process is that revenge takes time and energy for nothing. You may feel a momentary satisfaction but should regret it in the end. I would always advise forgiveness, and if that seems too hard, then leave them be and get over it. Waiting for years with that hatred burning in your heart is not good. Much better to enjoy life and love others.

There was a town with a guy named Rex. He was a horrible person who threatened people with death and had an underage "girlfriend". For so long he tormented the entire town, and he always got out of jail time immediately, and continue threatening lives.
The town got sick of it, and made an entire mob and killed him, no one was arrested for it and they saved his underage prisoner (she didn't have a choice to be with him, he threatened her family to let him have her, disgusting.) This is why, I don't look down on revenge. Because of revenge he no longer was able to torment people. I believe in revenge when the time is right and the crimes they committed against you were fair in comparison.
With the cheating revenge, she got back at him the exact same way, it's complete fairness. If an abuser can dish it out, they can f*cking take it back.

I'm not saying that criminals shouldn't have consequences for what they do, I'm saying that letting revenge cloud your heart with hate is not a good thing. Of course those who commit crimes should have consequences. If a child is molested, the molester should go to prison for it. However if the child does not stop thinking about it, they will be bitter for the rest of their life and miss the joy that can be found in the world. Forgiveness is never easy. It may take years, but in the end I believe that you are better for it. (Sorry this was long).
In 12th grade (2 years ago, weeks before COVID began and about 4 months before my HS graduation) I had a US government and economics teacher. Flashback to the first day of class, a girl came in and when the teacher asked her her name, she said Destiny’s Child (yes her name was Destiny). He was like “Ooo code names? Okay ‘Destiny’s Child’”.
He ended up giving all of my classmates code names. My crush was LeoBatfish, the rest were SPLITLAAAAAH, Fish (her last name was Fiske), and I was Umster, for example.
Back to the iconic day, Mr. C. (Not revealing his full last name it’s his last name initial though) called on me while I was doing my work. I said “Mr. Connolly?” I got the idea when I told my dad about all these code names he gave us students I told him his name. Needlessly to say, Mr C. was amused af and the other kids went oooooooooooooooooooo
