Today is a little less guided, but here are a few actionable steps that you can take: 1. Write a list of places in your home that feel full, unorganised, messy, annoying and frustrating. Do a mental walkthrough of your space, starting at your front door, picturing all of the areas of your home to trigger ideas. 2. Determine HOW you want to improve these spaces. They might just need a declutter - but they could also need a lazy susan ;) or something that makes them more accessible and easier to KEEP organised. 3. Start working through each area one by one. You might want to do them ALL in one day, or you might want to spread them out between Christmas / New Years - or throughout the month of January. I appreciate you guys so much.
Don't be in such a rush, chickadee. Appreciate where you are now-truly enjoy it. Playing house as a little tyke and doing it for real are different creatures! The responsibility can become overwhelming if you aren't careful. I've been a homeowner for 20 years and though I am VERY thankful, I dream of downsizing to simplify my life. Ahhh, dreams ❤️
Dont worry the great reset is coming and you wont need to buy a house. Santa Klaus will gift the survivors of this psyop a solar powered home and electric car.
I boxed up my embroidery stuff five years ago and recently got out a half finished cross stitch piece. It's time for cross stitching now and I'm so glad I kept all the gear. Your time for creating and crafting will come around, a box or two or a storage area is a good investment in your future artistry.
I paused this video halfway through, went and did a MASSIVE deep clean/organization for multiple areas I've never touched, and am just now coming back to finish this video.
End of year declutter is such a good feeling once you've done it a few times! I trust my judgement more and it goes so much faster. The hard part is waiting for items to sell or donation spots to be open. I'm always ready for it to be gone once I am done!
"You are in the right place" i dont know why that made me smile so much at the end, i feel like finding your channel this quarantine season has added so much value into my life, truly grateful for your channel this year, i will be definetely sticking around for more💜
I'm currently in the process of moving in to a new house with my boyfriend and wow the amount of stuff we both have is ridiculous (and yet I decluttered before I packed everything!) Looking forward to decluttering some more and giving each thing a home in our new space😍 Thank you so much for all the lovely new year concent, your channel is an absolute gold mine and a huge inspiration sources 🙌 hugs from across the world!
I always have my cutlery tray sideways. It just works better with how I access the drawer.. . The clear fridge containers I have had for over a year. They make things so much easier to access!!
@muchelleb Thank you so much for these videos! I always get so overwhelmed while decluttering. But Listing spaces is a genius technique. I even split my wardrobe cleanup into 4 sections, so it won't be too overwhelming :D And that also helps me feel like I've accomplished my goal for the day!
I can attest to the need to post stuff to sell right away. I have a couple things I even took pictures of and I still didn’t post them and there they sit in my basement 🤦🏼♀️. Thanks for helping me get motivated to clean my house for xmas. That has to happen today and then hopefully lots of decluttering post holiday.
This is so motivating! I just need to find the energy to do it. I recently got over being sick with covid and barely getting my energy back. Slowly but surely I'll declutter my space! Love how it all turned out!🙌
The 2 bamboo dividers in the drawer that are empty- you can use those for the vitamins on the open shelf rather than going back to Kmart & get more for the drawer next time you’re at Kmart
I was unmotivated to do anything but knew I needed to get some of this decluttering done... so I watched this and got inspired and motivated hah and immediately started, thank you! Really enjoying your channel.
A very easy build for the cat litter and the cat tray would be a box with a cat door in it you can even put a cushion on top so you can sit to take off your shoes. It really hides it and the cat usually likes the privacy also. make sure to have a little extra space for a little run area in front of the litter tray so the litter doesn't come back into the house area.
Dear Muchelle, I love hearing your voice because you make me feel like I’m still in Australia! I often think I’d like to see how you’d evolve after having children... I had 2 pretty close together and THAT was made me crave minimalism
Hi :) Love this. Can I suggest lining those bamboo and woven baskets that are from K-mart, I find it stops the mildew and mould forming so much better. Those bamboo trays are especially noted for mildew if they get wet
this was the exact video I needed to get me motivated to do some decluttering!✨ A note about the blue yeti mic: I think it's just a different type of microphone than the rode shotgun ones and it's meant to be used upright, so basically you speak into the side rather than the top! :D (I assume by the time this video is up you already found a new home for the blue yeti tho, but I thought just in case you haven't I'd let you know!)
Decluttering is great but I would love more videos on what to do with those single or double strange things u have no idea what to do with them or cannot sell or gift what do u do just throw away?
Hello, you may want to try a top-open deep cat-litter box - I got one recently from amazon, and I never looked back ; it looks great as well as hides the stuff you don’t want to see ;) Love your content, hi from Luxemburg🌟🌟🌟
I clicked this video SO FAST! This was exactly what I needed! Just a small note though, I noticed that there was a lot of difference between the level of volume during the voice over/vlog-style talks. Idk if it's me or not, but I kept having to adjust the volume to either be able to hear it or to not have it loud af 🙊 I looove the video though!❤️
@Single Handedly Rightly said. I don't blame anyone as for an outsider it is not easy to know about our food culture and what goes on in the various dishes.
While I love content like this, I always have a nagging feeling about how TH-camrs/influencers monetise these everyday actions. Like, that's massive incentive/motivation- it's part of your actual job and you make money from it. No one is paying the rest of us to pair socks and clear out junk draws, so we have to find and draw on alternative sources of motivation to get things like this done (or even just to get the systems in place to get things done). I'm not necessarily saying it's a bad thing, but that element of capital is never made visible which I think is problematic. And if the reason you want to get your life in order is to achieve things like becoming a doctor or a professor or something else, then all of this self organisation has to be done on top of tasks towards those other goals and not as an end in themselves, as they are for life coaches, productivity gurus etc. This probably comes across horribly cynically, sorry about that!

Fridge lazy Susans were life changing for me. I am a sauce buyer lol
I love these reset videos! I've been doing some cleaning and decluttering in the last week or so too. Thanks for the great ideas and inspiration!

We got our grey & white marble lazy so off Amazon for like $24. 😱🤩😍 It is heavy, sturdy & GORGEOUS!!!! One of my fav Amazon finds of all time.
honestly the fact that all of those organisers were in stock at your kmart is a miracle lol
Love the video, I'm now able to start the year all fresh and clean!
As a Canadian, it got me way too confused to see your advent calendar in the fridge 😅
Not just advent calendars but all chocolates, especially the chocolates we give out for gifts around Xmas time. It's so hot here 😭😂
hi thx. for this video u r rly inspiring
I'm excited to see that sideways cutlery drawer in next year's mildly annoying spaces to be addressed lol
Soooo helpful, thank you 😊

Where did you get the white bin you used to hold your vacuum pieces and such?! It's much cuter than other storage tubs I'm seeing!

True story on selling as you declutter. I've got a pile of stuff in the corner that is nodding along with me in agreement. 🤦♀️
Love that desk chair! Can I ask where you got it? I’m in desperate need of one lol
I’m pretty sure she got it in a recent video from ikea!!

peanut butter does not go in the fridge!!!! how can you use it when it gets hard1!!1
why keep peanut butter in the fridge? it doesn't go bad if you keep it out of the fridge and it's easier to spread
