    Great little review Barrie. Thanks! Didn't know the N-Connecta (whatever that means!!) had such good specs. And thanks for demoing what everybody else leaves out - sunshade and hill start. (Although you missed those natty little retro CD case slots in centre console! - Yes, I still have CDs.)

    Talking of the all round cameras, if you press the camera button twice while stationary, it will show just the left front camera so you can see the wheel, in an aid to help you not kerb them.

    Hi Barrie, smooth gear changes can you do a video on how you do super smooth gear changes. Also do you keep your foot on the accelerator pedal? It's that how you change gear smoothly?

    • @BarrieCrampton
      @BarrieCrampton  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there, it just comes with practice, i guess i have driven millions of miles, imm comfortable in a car, i start to move the gear leaver as i start to press the clutch, when the pedal is half way down the car is in neutral, the second part of my clutch press is faster and coincides with slotting the car into gear, and then letting the clutch out smoothly, i dont grab the gear leaver i guide it, slight pressure left for 1st and 2nd, press forward for 3rd and let the spring on the lever take it across to the gate, and just backwards for 4th, slight pressure right for 5th and 6th, you can knock a car out of gear without pressing the clutch but you cant knock it in gear, so the second part of the clutch travel is more important, and the other thing is, im never in a hurry, so im always relaxed, hope this helps but i find it hard to explain

    Go to the Nissan garage down the road from your garage Barrie. They will give you a New Service Book. Bin the Current Service book it rubbish. I have just been Vaccinated

    It is baffling how such big taj mahals with soooo many staff in main dealers and they can't do the simple things right. And never mind how convoluted and complex the invoices for work are, you'd need a degree to work out how much you paid for what. The 'good' main dealers who do the simple things consistently well; where you ring up and speak to a person who a) knows an answer or b) can get you to the person who does is gone and for a car person like me it is extremely stressful. I pity traders like yourselves having to deal with such numpties on a daily basis. And what customers don't realise is the cost to them; dealer couldn't care less about your future value of car. Like say a 3 yr old with a crap or half arsed service history is as good as none. So when they trade it in, they get say £250 pound less cuz of the lack of service history. That customer is prob not aware their car has been slightly penalised cuz of service history. But I wonder how the customer would feel if the person in the suit at the Nissan garage said I will now charge you an extra £80 for 'not' filling in your service record properly each of the 3 years of servicing......arbitrary numbers I know

    • @BarrieCrampton
      @BarrieCrampton  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Actually that is a good point well made, because that is exactly what they are doing, penalising the customer because they are too stupid to stamp the service book or enter it correctly on the digital service history

      @@BarrieCrampton my dads astra from new had a 3 Yr free service. 3 years down the line I went out to have a look at the book. Book was clean blank and not a receipt kind. He assumed cuz it was free he didn't need it filled in (I was annoyed with myself for not checking the garages homework lol)....so I made him go up to the garage and get them tick and fill in the book for all 3 services up to that.
