About the large round concrete structure aka batch plant: “This structure is 15 feet deep and 110 feet across, and was used as a settling basin for the sediment-rich Colorado River water during the construction of Hoover Dam in the 1930s”
I remember when I was in my early 20's, my Father and I were fishing in his boat and we floated over the top of that cement structure, we had no idea that there was anything like that under us, it was in 1983.
Wow... Imagine looking down from a boat when that thing was under 5 feet of water. The fact that it was submerged at one point is just insane.

I've watched a lot of these vids. and that shot from the round thing, knowing it should be underwater gives the best reference to how low the lake is, that I've seen. Damn, no pun intended, that lake is on the way out. We should be thankful for the 80 years of use. 1983 was the fullest the lake has been since filling it.

the tank was used as a treatment tank for the river water. if the water level drops the train tracks and other structures as well as 3 agergate piles will be visible
I went camping there circa 1971 with my parents bought their first huge camper. I do remember people building wooden floats sending em or towing the floats loaded with fire works and huge firecrackers. The folks did it quite a bit too day & night.

In 1986 I took my DEEP water SCUBA test on that batch plant! It was 150ft under water! Now it's on top of a hill!! Crazy! The boat is the Tortuga. It was a great dive site back in the 80's and 90's. Can't remember the other boats name?

The first time I saw that concrete structure was a video that Adventures with the Todd Father did. It was awhile back so the water was up quite a bit higher.

That second twin engine boat looked real old but one engine had a modern alternator on it. I was a little surprised. I haven't been to that lake since the summer of 1982. We spent a lot of time on it. Sure looks different now.
Those interceptor manifolds came from Osco Motors in Souderton Pennsylvania not to far from where I live.

The fact they made a law that prevents us Americans from recording our state parks which mind you is public land at the end of the day is so bizarre but I wouldn’t put past this admin. Now I get it if your filming a movie. But a dude with a go pro…. Come on!
If others can camp and deficate in the streets, commit crimes against people and businesses with no repercussions then you shouldn't have a problem operating a camera on God's green earth.

That is so weird to see above water!!! 1998 or 99 I scuba dived and swam through that structure.
Have they found any automobiles? Seems some of the more perplexing missing persons cases get solved when sonar in a waterway detects a vehicle.
As a retired mechanic I have to say... those 2 old engines had generators not alternator... you can tell by the length.. so had to be from the 50s or 60s roughly
You should grab those twin engines and rebuild both and install them in another boat.

Have you seen the video of boat that was under water for 30 years in lake mead. They took it cleaned it up fixed the engine and put it back on the lake and it ran perfect. They found the owner of the boat and gave it back to them.

Go look for FabRats or Merlin’s old school garage and see the Yellow submarine episode and see the guys take a 30year jet bait under lake mead and get it going again.

Just a suggestion. I think you should get a boat/water loving dog such as a Lab. to go along with you. It would sniff out and see things you would never notice. Most out doors type people love dogs so it would make your content even more interesting.
I think it would so cool if your boat drifted away and you had to go Gilligan's island for a few months

Im really surprised since you mentioned there are so many people digging around at the lake and touching just about everything that the boat with the nose sticking straight up STILL has both engines. Now, obviously those are not going to be rinsed off and fired up, but I'm betting both of those, if disassembled and cleaned, reringed and honed they would run again with some work. Its hard believe in todays world that they are still there because people have little respect for the illusion of what they are and where they came from, people are just not that way anymore, but it still surprises me because with little effort they could have been dug out of the boat and eventually rebuilt.

those engines are Y block Fords used in cars and trucks 54-62, oil filer sticks out from the side of the block.

If they passed a law that you cannot film in a national park then it is Nolan void on its face it is a constitutional right to be able to film anything the eye can see if they don't like it tell him it's your first amendment protected right end of point and take it to court and you will win

The Ford interceptor, they intercepted all of the bad parts and put them into those engines they had a really bad reputation on the great lakes.

Check out FadRats you tube channel. They found a 20 ft jet boat that was at the bottom of Lake Powell for thirty years. Where able to get the motor cleaned up and it started, then fixed up the boat a little and returned it to the family that lost it.
I WOULD SAY THAT ONE BOAT CAUGHT ON FIRE AND BURNT DOWN TO THE WATER LINE MAKING IT VERY UNSTABLE COMING TO PEICES GOING DOWN
