First, the Jewish Semitic claim made by the Zionists in the name of contemporary Jews remains unsubstantiated according to scholarly findings in history, archaeology, linguistics, and genetics.
Second, the Semitic claim is essentially used to justify the dispossession, displacement, and impersonation of the Palestinians by Jewish settlers in one of the most complex form of cultural identity theft.
Third, even if contemporary Jews were actually “Semitic,” this will not justify their dispossession of the Palestinians who have nothing to do with any past or present, actual or alleged persecution of Jews in Europe or anywhere else in the world.
Fourth, the Semitic claim did not solve the Jewish identity problem created by Zionism as the current genetic turn to a new racial science indicates.
Fifth, the growing disillusionment with the Jewish Semitic claim could nurture cynicism or guilt among current and future Jewish generations. Hebrew University Professor of History Yehoshua Porath was quoted: “You can't build a cultural heritage on a lie. Because when young people discover the truth, they can become cynical” (Fletcher 1995, 16).
Finally in light of the failure to prove the Semitic claim, researchers of the origins of contemporary Jews are
now forced to think outside the old geographic box of Palestine and the older ethnic buzzword,
      of the Israelites.

Roman Catholicism has many problems with it, mainly because it was not the religion that Jesus taught.
Jesus followed the faith of the ancient prophets (Adam, Noah, Abraham, Jacob etc).
Roman Catholicism was a new religion concocted by the Roman empire in colloboration with priests who did not follow the teachings of Jesus and his disciples.

      How did Islamic religion start?
The start of Islam is marked in the year 610, following the first revelation to the prophet Muhammad at the age of 40. Muhammad and his followers spread the teachings of Islam throughout the Arabian peninsula.

the Samaritans are wearing Moroccan attires, so it makes me wonder if this has a relation with the Moroccan Jews in some way , since they are known to have been in Morocco for a few thousand years too. Plus the tabernacles are exactly the same that we find in Morocco which are hundreds of years old for those that are still standing. is there a link?

Is there any connection between Samaritans and Thoda tribes of India ?
I was always fascinated about the Jewish heritage of india.
I'm from Kerala , southern state of india and we had a thriving jewsish community before 1948.
Some studies say that jews were in india from king Solomon's time. The first foreign religion to come to the subcontinent and that too with trade and only tiny number of people left for Aliyah. I'm sure that there was no anti semtism in india. Jews were not discriminated because they were jew. Number of people left or the population was very less compared to the other religions who came later. I guess the jews lot of jews have assimilated to the people of india after getting excommunicated and many other social problems in to all religion. Even I might have a Jewish ancestry. How cool is this. I'm an Indian, I'm everything. 😎

Last Sunday was the 5th Sunday of Pascha, the Sunday of the Samaritan Woman where we Orthodox, reading from the Gospel of St. John the Theologian beginning from the Gospel Prologue heard at the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom on Pascha (from Heb. Pesach, ‘passover’). In the 4th chapter of St. John’s Gospel Jesus converses with the Samaritan woman and reveals his Messiahship to her, and she receives it with joy and many Samaritans of Shechem receive the Gospel with joy. This is the first instance of Jesus revealing that He is the Christ in John’s Gospel, and He does it among the Samaritans not the Judaeans. He tells the woman, “salvation is from the Jews”, meaning that the Redeemer (Heb. Goel) comes from the Judaean people, but He continues his work among all the lost sheep of Israel, beginning with the Samaritans!

As I am to understand, the schism between Jews and Samaritans, occurred long before these nouns existed. Back then, they were Hebrews or Israelites. 😊prior to the time set forth in the first book of Samuel, the Tabernacle was moved from
Mt Gerizem to Shiloh. Why this relocation occurred, is at the heart of the schism.

Stop misleading and misinforming viewers. The Samaritans do not live in Israel. They live in Nablus-Palestine and carry Palestinian identity cards. They speak Arabic at work and at home but pray in original Hebrew and not in Yiddish. Not many of them left and about 150
Samaritans decided to leave Nablus for Tel Aviv because of high unemployment. They were giving money and jobs to give up their Palestinian I.D. cards. As a young boy I visited their holy site many times in Jebel Girzim . I am 78 yrs old. The Samaritans have nothing in common with Ashkenazi Jews and they do not associate much with them.

All religious groups have their own customs and ways of doing religion/worship. It's beautiful, isn't it? Truth is all are acceptable, all are unique in their own ways. Yet there is still that personal intimate relationship that can't be quantified or explained in text that has less to do with religious customs than each our own personal approaches/outpouring to Him above.

Samaritan's were not an enemy of Jews, they were non-Jews claiming to be Jews.

I don't know why people has to face persecution because of their beliefs. One can believe in whatever they want but conflict arises when one becomea fundamentalists and thinks they are superior and only right.

It's bemusing the Samarian man considers himself Samaritan first. In the West, people consider the race last. Blood is thicker than water with the Jews and.....Japanese. J and J have alot in common, surprisingly to the Westerners!

I think you should ask western People in private instead of looking at TV haha. you can't say that anymore in the West. you'll literally go to prison.

The Japanese homogenous dna are what israel should have been according to the Torah. Japanese culture is very similar to ancient hebrew culture. Sadly, the west managed to ruin everything.

The Samaritans are the descendants of Joseph - Ephraim the first born of the house of Yaakob. A day will come to pass that the haughty people of Yaudah will know Ephraim.

Few questions and few facts that were intentionally or unintentionally overlooked. My first questions is "Were did Christianity go??? are you kidding me? Christianity started with one and 12 disciples and today there are 3B affiliated one way or another with Christianity. Samaritans started as 1,5 million and today they are less than one thousand. Please do not take me wrong, Samaritans in Shechem or Nablus in the west bank are a community with very high reputation among Palestinians, I know that first hand. They occupy all sensitive positions in commercial and economic life of the Palestinian People. Number two, though they have descended from the Israelites but their Holy book consists of the Pentateuch as the canonical Book and a some mutation of the book of Joshua as NON canonical book.
Please when reporting facts, make sure that facts are facts. thanks for the good quality program, I subscribed and liked and even saved for republication without my comments. Thank you and God bless you

I know Samaritan man from the Bible, Luke 10:29-37. A man going from Jerusalem to Jericho is attacked by robbers who strip him and beat him. A priest and a Levite pass by without helping him. But a Samaritan stops and cares for him, taking him to an inn where the Samaritan pays for his care. I used to think Samaritans only existed in the Bible. May your population grow more, and more good Samaritans. You're Famous people.
