Being a Mechanical Engineer it feels like I am reading my Automobile Engineering notes again. Most complex part is engine balancing and deciding the firing order. If you missed the engine balancing then vibration will rip your bike apart.
Engine Balancing and its sub topic Firing order belongs to the subject called Theory of Machines or Dynamics of Machine. You learn everything in a chapter called "balancing". Automobile Engineering doesn't contain such an important Chapter.
@@jeweldeka4471 You are talking about element design that is obviously part of machine design. Go and open book you will get theoretical information about that in Automobile Engineering. Bro just analyse yourself once again. Wow!! This is simplified. To be honest there are still some doubts but this has stoked my curiosity to learn more. Thank you for these super cool videos.
I've been studying and working on engines as a hobbyist , rider and a ex-racer, and the most complicated part is firing orders that differ based on the variety of bank angles with the same crank !
I just came to comment section to appreciate the way this video was created great ( Background, Sumi T- shirt, graphics and BGM) are amazing. Keep doing and we keep loving ❤️ you PD Army
I wish to see more graphics onscreen than you on simplfied videos please. Coz I can understand better that way. Anyways thank you for all the simplified videos so far👍👍
The content of these videos is so good that I feel like pressing that Subscribe and bell button in every PD video I watch 😁. Lots of love to the entire team for creating this content for us….

How to tackle, take good control on big motorcycles like the adv ones specially. Would be a nice topic to talk on, because at some point i/we also dream of riding those big tall advs, but what fears us the most is the seat height, the weight and such.
I completely agree that you gotta ride the bike to know if its meant for you. For a long time I fantasised about the RE Continental GT and that was the bike that was gonna get. I had never ridden one.. but I knew I wanted an aggressive stance. Then I rode one, and don’t get me wrong, its a beautiful machine, but I just din feel the connection. I then went on and tried the Apache RR 310.. and damn.. it fit like a glove. I fantasised about the RE but as a rider I wanted a completely different bike. I got the RR.. it brings a smile on my face every time I take it out!
This was superb And ridiculously short More details pls @schumar and the writing team @pd do a brilliant job. Way more interesting and captivating than the teachers at iit . ( And bloody useful As well )
I'm so glad you explained this. I'm so sick of our indian keyboard warriors Blindly claiming that more cylinders means better regardless of the character, power & torque curve, chassis etc. Just take the example of ktm duke 790 which was priced very closely to z900 & our internet experts were making fun of it for not having a i4 engine and saying its better to buy a z900 than 790. When infact the z900 has no character whatsoever & feels boring compared to the lightweight full of character 790
We would love a comparison video with reason for these different engine formats like the single, twins, triple, inline 4 and V4 for the power and torque they produce against rpm, which are quick off the line and who can produce better top end and a comparison on track !!
There’s no such thing. An engine designer can do any version of this they want TBH. Generally, more cylinders = more opportunity to make torque/power. That’s about it.
@@shu_mar I wanted to ask if we have 6 engines say for ex. 600cc with single, parallel twin, v twin, triple, inline 4, v4 how will the power delivery vary and why ? How will the stroke pattern affect the camshaft output ?
You should have explained it with dyno charts of different types of engines with same displacement that would so amazing to know at how torque is delivered
could you guys make a video about proper techniques to take on corners? lean angles, braking before/ during/ after approaching a curve, trail braking and please take an example of indian motorcycles like pulsars as theyre sold in huge volumes and me being one of rs200 owner.. it would really help me a lot
Sir please make a video about gear shifting , when I shift gears up or down its not smooth sometimes i can hear the sound other times it's smooth. Is it normal to get sound while shifting the gears
There was a quick remark on high compression ratio. Could you please do a separate video on compression ratio in bikes? What I have observed higher the compression ratio more sophisticated is the cooling system required. Is this correct? And how is the power-torque curve related to the compression? Kindly bring us your wonderful simplified explanation on this.
2:31 : Correction : Parallel twins are commonly 180' fired( Ninja 300, 650& Yamaha R3 ) and they don't at all sound like V twins Whereas, the triumph twins, duke 790 and the Royal Enfield 650's have the 270' , thus sounding like V twins. The 360' parallel twin(as you mentioned first) is found in the Benelli 300 which actually sounds like an Inline 4.
Great episode ! Full of useful info...if you can make a video on different transmission system of four wheelers, that would be much appreciated..keep making this kind of videos..Happy diwali🙂

Hey sir can you please tell me the difference between the comuter bike and sport or naked bike and the cruiser bike engines. And even can you explain about the braking system please
Can you tell something about the Petrol tank care - mostly on how not to have water seeping in through the filling cap. I had Bajaj Pulsar from 2004 to 2014. No problem anywhere, but the fuel tank used to have water seeping in. Seen may riders even today putting a plastic sheet over the fuel cap.
Honestly, they don’t. It’s a matter of design. The idea that a certain engine format automatically does something for torque or horsepower is no longer true - a lot of tech has changed this

Inline 4 & 270degree parallel twin for sounds. Single cylinder for practicality
