- Celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsay says he's grateful to be alive, but shaken up after a recent cycling accident in Connecticut. The chef was hit by a car while on his bicycle. He's now sharing an important message -- saying he wouldn't be alive today if it wasn't for one thing, a helmet!

"A helmet saved my life!" No it didn't. The death rate of cyclists does not fall as helmet wearing rates increase, as demonstrated when Australia introduced their helmet law. There are thousands of these stories, but if the death rate doesn't fall, they can't be true. Stick to cooking Gordon.
It doesn’t matter the rate, Gordon posted the aftermath photo of his helmet that was completely destroyed. Without that helmet he would’ve had severe brain damage or died. Take the few extra seconds to put a damn helmet on, there is no reason to not.
Okay Twitter Degenerate, Helmets Saves lives. its a form of protection that you need while riding a bicycle, Even with everything you can do to help cyclist with power. even then they would still need a helmet for protection so they don't end up 12 feet under the ground
