- The MEN OF THE WEST, with King Aragorn, Eomer, Legolas & Gimli, take on an AZOG'S LEGION (without Azog!) featuring a troll, an ogre and war bats. It's 700 points and the scenario is To The Death.

Also, quick heads up that we play the bats a little wrong here - the model they swoop over to knock prone is meant to be unengaged, but it doesn't affect the game really!

Thanks very much! We don't tend to use dice trays but have suffered because Lou missed a weekend of filming so got a few videos where the dice rolling is a bit sparse... He'll back though to get some close ups at some point..! 😅

@@twotreesgaming Met you at the start of the event, brief chat in Bugmans, we ran the "Fresh princes of Gondor!"
Prince Imrahil and Faramir for a Fiefdoms and Minas Tirith list.
We proceeded to watch Faramir roll 4 highs everywhere and be an utter disappointment all day xD
Irolas meanwhile was a beast and was the only way we managed to get any good matches in. Heroic defencing and holding down big heroes like Dain, Durin, Boromir and also the might Quickbeam all day!
Had alot of fun though. Was our first ever event and we are stoked to come back and do some more.
Ah cool, I remember! And more the team name, I wish there was an award for that because there were some classics! 😂
So glad you had a good first tournament (excluding Faramir), they really are great and doubles is such a good entry point!

Yep most of the armies have a few. I'll try to highlight them a bit more but we tend to talk about them on the Podcast/discussion or Tournament Review type videos a bit more. Really glad you like them!
Discovered this channel recently and was an easy sub. Men of the West bodied Azog's legion. Great battle reports and models.

Right you are, that's annoying..! I'll add a correction subtitle and a note in the description. Good spot.
@@twotreesgaming Also the damage roll and the knock prone roll of the bats are unrelated to eachother.
You first roll for the dammage, after that you roll for the knock prone.
I like to think of this as, the model is picked up and dropped, first you roll to see if its hurt by the fall, after that you check if it landed on its feet or not.
So even if you roll a 1 on the first roll than you will still roll for the knock prone.
This is explained somewhere in the FAQ

We would love to but in practical terms its unlikely. Myself and Louis both have three kids and we film every game and tournament we play in pretty much, just no time. But I really, really hope your channel goes well. It's an awful lot of work so best thing I can recommend is getting a good body of work done up front!

100%. The art of patience, definitely worth checking out the GT 2023 review to see the same army in a more competitive environment, but same rules apply.
