Fun fact Janick Gers is left-handed but play guitar right-handed! I don't know why some fans don't like him, he's a great guitarist. 3 guitars bring more depth to the songs.

I hate the fact people hate on Janick. It's like they somehow think they know better than Steve Harris and the best metal band in the world about music.
The way people hate on him is so petty. He's a great guitarist and a very talented songwriter. I've had the pleasure of meeting him as well and he's such a nice guy, so polite and I could happily sit down at a pub with him and a have a pint with him and just chat. Not even as a famous person. He's just the sort of guy anyone could get a long with. Those fans just need to get of their high horse and get over the fact he's had about 30 years in the band and he's going nowhere
The fact he gets so hyped that Bruce is telling another story gets me hyped because i know that he gets what Maiden is all about. They are like a theatre performance with an absolute banging soundtrack.

Excellent reaction!! The Chilean public is Maiden's favorite, it is known, it is a matter of seeing the energy between the crowd and the band, also there in Chile are the concerts with the largest audience. (Rock in Rio does not count because it is a festival where many bands play)
Planet Rock magazine interviewing thousands of metal fans just voted them the Best Heavy Metal band of ALL TIMES!!
Also from En Vivo is a song called Talisman, that tells an amazing story, and is regarded as one of Bruce's best ever vocal performances. Should deffo do that one as your next Maiden track.

That concert was in my country, Chile, at the largest event center, the Estadio Nacional. And they played only good songs, and this is my favorite song.

People always describe them as one of the greatest metal bands of all time, I think that really underates Maiden. They now need to be in the bracket of one of the all time greatest bands in musical history.
These guys are absolute masters of their craft... Best story-telling band in Metal... So credible, so creative, so amazing... An absolutely unique band, a world phenomenon. A gift to Metal - and to music in general, of course.

There is not a band on the planet with that many world class musicians in one band they are just brilliant. I have seen them to date 32 times in the uk so far and trust me if there is one thing you need to do in your life is watch Maiden live.

It’s not just Bruce’s impassioned story-telling or Janick, Dave and Adrian’s power solo or Steve’s badassness and let’s not forget Nicko, but did you hear that passionate chanting from the crowd? 😎🎶 Definitely diggin your Maiden dance and did you just shed a tear, mate?! No worries..I did too. They were supposed to play at Download Festival last Sat but cancelled because of the fuggin rona.
The funny thing about that concert released on DVD and CDs is that for some reason the scenes where the audience is focused there are from the show in Argentina from that same tour, me and a friend appeared in some parts and we never went to Chlile XD

The first Metal Concert i saw, Iron Maiden, 1992, Fear of the Dark World Tour, still awesome this Band. I saw them 10 times. This Band is my life.

I don't know how true this is but a fan from Chile told me the almost declare a national holiday when the #Irons come to town as they know nobody is going to work the next day! They are crazy about Maiden over there.

Well, Chile and Iron Maiden has a deep relantioship / Our goverment banned his first show in the 90'; 20 years after, in the same country, they have one of the biggest fanbase in the world. Sometimes good shit happens!

Yeah, you want to see The Talisman - En Vivo if you haven't already. I've never seen a better live performance than that from Maiden, or any band for that matter. I loved it first time hearing on the studio album but was also bummed thinking that they'd never be able to pull it off live because of the demanding vocals. I was wrong.
Iron Maiden channel today: Bruce talking the crowds this year people numbers alone are astronomical! In Germany alone figures are through the roof! It's crazy!
Saw them live at Donnington last night, best band ever!! still sore tonight. Need alcohol to dumb the pain from going nuts!!

So you like Bruce's storytelling? In that case you should turn your attention to The Talisman (live from En Vivo). It's one of their more modern classics that is often forgotten.
Another great Maiden performance you should check out would be Paschendale (live from Death on the Road).

Just checked times in the Red and the Black and it's at least 5mins of guitar heaven between solo's and riffs together, Bruce is out for a good 5 mins (possibly drinking hot water and sniffing coffee) that is all he does when not on stage ( I can't imagine the strength of that coffee when all he can do is sniff it! ) Holly shit.

@@Detrucci If you like good, I mean really good live performances, you should react to some Dio stuff. One reason? He was the one that invented the metal Horns singn and his vocals are crazy. My suggestion to star with is DIO - Heaven And Hell (Live 1986)

Put it this way Metallica play Iron Maiden songs, Iron Maiden only play their songs period. Nuff said I'm thinking and no disrespect to Metallica (great band) probably take over from Maiden (unless some British band decides to de-throne them lol as we are so much better than they are.
