This is addressed in our review. I hope you'll watch it. 17:42 The bike will not work out of the box until it is set up. That process requires a phone/account/email address. When that process is done, the bike can be ridden with no phone connected. -Producer Tim
Now, that IS light weight! Too bad it just wouldn't do for my wife: not a step-through, thin seat, too big (she's only 5'2"). Definitely not a cruiser.
4:27 what!?!?!?! altus is the lowest of the low spec for shimano mtb gear. it's not even the right style deraileur for this bike!, let a lone a mid range one. Mid range for shimano is deore and slx. 4:37 i missed this on the last video i saw but you can get better fenders (lighter, smaller, just as effective) for $10 a pop Oh you can pick up a vitus e-substance alloy road bike (proper one with drop bars etc) that has e bike specific components (shimano tiagra groupset for a start) that weighs 15.4kg from chain reaction cycles right now for $600 more. worth every penny. mostly coz that $600 is money you will have to spend in the firrst year of buying the velotric T1 coz the brakes are going to fail and so will the drivetrain. might as well just spend it up front
Tourney is Shimano's lowest. At the time of publishing, there were no factory fenders. We review manufacturers options in reviews. We do not incorporate third party aftermarket options in our reviews unless they are sold by the eBike manufacturer.
The prices were accurate when the video was published last year. They are on sale regularly which I believe I mentioned at the conclusion of the video. We have provided links to each bike (for current pricing information) in the video description.
Love your vids. I've learned that if you take the bend out of your wrist and keep it straight it makes a profound difference in fatigue.
Thanks for watching and commenting! -Producer Tim
Great Vid. Makes me love my T1 even more!!!
Thank you for watching and commenting! We hope you'll subscribe for more eBike reviews this spring. -Producer Tim
Can we turn this T1 ebike on without using any cellphone Apps?🚴♂

The step through review is coming in a few days. It has a few key difference aside from frame geometry.

It's also over $4,000 USD, more than twice the price of the Velotric T1. Not even the same comparison.
Exactly. Velotric offers incredible value with the smart security, GPS, and App features.
Wow, so now I know you also got a Tesla parked at home 🤪
I just sold my Model Y and now have a Rivian R1T 🤪
Wrong that frame is more like 1799. Your vids I've seen all have titles with wrong pricing. Clickbait maybe.
