i too once owned a 48 chevy... it wasnt the coupe though it was the tudor sedan stylemaster... black 216 3 on the tree vaccuum shift just like this one... shiny black like this one no rust fir sale sign on it.... get this $750 obo!!.. i got it for $700... the catch being this was 1979 😂... still a great deal
if that's an original radio, the signal was not lost. it would be a tube radio, and the tubes would need to warm up before it worked. ...after turning it on, it would be necessary to wait for 5-10 seconds before anything would be heard. transistorized radios wouldn't come out for another ten years or so.
