It seemed like a little realistic representation of how addiction destroys you.. It seemed like they looked up to several substance abuse related suicides, specially suicides related to rockstars.
rahul was an alcoholic addict and was way too deep into it by the time arohi entered his life... he wasn't a toxic person... he tried multiple times to get away from her and not ruin her with him...

last one was not toxic. yeah he was not romantic but was not toxic like previous 4. but devdas was. he used to beat parvati all time, used to ignore her, even paro had quite her school for him. he never understood her love. after her marriage he understood what he had lost. it was not his love it was his guilt. true lover was paro not dev
Actually devdas's caracter was not like that . Its sanjay leela who make that caracter like that . Because the actual story of devdas written by swaratchandra was way more logically understandable and good than the hindi one . Only bengalis can understand.
Watch Dilip Kumar’s Devdas, or read the actual book to understand the character. SLB has created a mess of the classic.
Rahul wasn't toxic, rather he needed help. It was much more deep than one can imagine.

I am sorry but when it comes to the character of Rahul I really can't agree with you because I don't think he was toxic. He truly loved Aarohi and even sacrificed his life for her at the end I think you should have included Devdas or kundan's character instead of Rahul.
Rahul loved alcohol more than Arohi. He chose his death rather than quitting alcohol. He left Arohi though he knew she can't live without him.

He decided to leave it and he was going through withdrawals which was taking load on aarohi too because she was ready to be him Always ame even in that weak condition he chose to kill himself because he loved aarohi more than himself and alcohol cause he could not bear her downfall because of him. He didn't want to be her cause of failure... He was addicted way before she came into his life he started to recover and wanted to leave all this for her but he found himself already in deep hence he chose to remove himself before he becomes major problem for her

rahul had genuine addiction issues even before arohi entered his life and she wasn't the reason he ruined himself... also except his alcoholism rahul was a nice guy... kabir with or without alcohol was a toxic and arrogant guy and so was preeti... both preeti and arohi might have come off as docile and silent type but preeti wasn't innocent like arohi... she got married to another guy just to piss off kabir and then walked out of that marriage the next day... she was equally toxic as kabir...

And Rahul was a supporting guy, he wanted Aarohi to get all the success and he tried to make Aarohi realize that she is talented while Kabir Singh always made Preeti realize that she is nothing without him and people know her because she is "Kabir ki bandi", that makes Kabir Singh a proper toxic guy, I could feel pity for the characters of Aashiqui 2 but not same for Kabir Singh because the issue in that film was made big by Kabir himself his impatient behavior made the movie longer and Preeti's silence added much more unrealistic plot in it, I don't understand when they knew her father won't agree instead of making out why didn't they get married that day itself oh yeah movie hi kaise banti phir

Such a portrayal of love poisons young minds about relationships and glorifies abusive relationships. I've been through an abusive one and I know that it led to depression, anxiety and trust issues. That is not at all love, it is control. Angry and controlling men seem tough and look like intense lovers but it is just abuse, lies and manipulation.
Rahul wasn't toxic, he tried his hardest to not drag her down with him. If anything you should have added Devdas.
Rahul's character was good, he sacrifice everything for her.... okay...
But Finally we should appreciate that All actor shows their amazing acting skill, because they act like what's story writer and director of movies told them and they do that perfectly.

Vikram isnt toxic, he was not Mili's bf, already engaged to another girl. His emotional unavailability is more of a lack of expression of the actor rather than him being toxic. The character is a serious one, who doesn't quite displays emotions or expresses his feelings. He is conflicted and that has been portrayed well.

First of all, it's evident how the 'tere naam' & 'rhtdm' portions were inspired from only desi & quarter ticket show
Second, Rahul Jaikar wasn't really toxic, he was an alcoholic and he knew it, he tried to stop himself, he couldn't but he didn't want to harm arohi or her career. He's a flawed character and even tho i don't like some his actions but he doesn't deserve be on this list
Third, same goes for Vikram, he doesn't deserve to be in this list. He was a prince and he was handling all the business stuffs, palace stuffs too, he just had to be or pretend to be very professional, businesslike, reserved character. And by product, he seemed quite emotionless. So i agree that he was rude at first and some of his actions weren't really good but he changed later as he met mili & fell in love. He was also honest about it with his fiance, didn't try to cheat on her or anything. which is why i don't think he's really toxic, he was just very serious & kinda jerk at first but he got better in the end. Character development exists.
And as other comments suggested those places should go to kundan & devdas or srk's character in kabhi alvida na kehna who not only cheated on his wife but also was a very insecure, rude & an absolute trash.
