Paul McCartney was one of the greatest and most versatile singers in rock and pop music. Not only an incredible range but could go from a raucous, Little Richardesque screaming tone in one song to another using the voice of an angel and not even sound hoarse. He would alter his tone and timbre from song to song. An incredible singer. Sadly, he's now lost that but we still have incredible recordings from the 60s and 70s that bear this out.

Paul's voice is so pure tone perfect when you consider what decade its recorded, no auto tune around then. The harmonies from George and John take it to another level it's joyful to hear. You cannot not join in with the na nahs that finish the song. True class of the fab four.🎶🎙🎹🥁❤

4:38 That’s higher than Freddie Mercury and Jeff Buckley ever sang.
It drives me absolutely insane that people do not give Paul enough credit as a singer. Obviously everyone knows he’s an amazing singer, but they don’t realize just how great he was.
When people think of singers with great ranges they think of Freddie Mercury and Mariah Carey (I don’t care for her singing but there’s no denying her range is incredible).
Paul had almost an entire octave more than Freddie and had a wider full voice range than Mariah.

I love the clarity of the Paul “bloody hell” flub at 2:58…so glad they left that in.
They almost sound like Laaa Laa La Lalalalaas rather than Naaa Naa Na Nanananaas sometimes - esp the second one at 3:28. Amazing that when they start we are only halfway through the song.
The Hey-Judy-Judy/leopard-cry at 4:00 is maybe the greatest 5 seconds in rock and roll history.
Love the David Lee Roth-esque screech at 4:40. Copy/Paste-Runnin With the Devil…

Hey Jude, don't make it bad.
Take a sad song and make it better.
Remember to let her into your heart,
Then you can start to make it better.
    Hey Jude, don't be afraid.
You were made to go out and get her.
The minute you let her under your skin,
Then you begin to make it better.
And anytime you feel the pain, hey Jude, refrain,
Don't carry the world upon your shoulders.
For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder.
Hey Jude, don't let me down.
You have found her, now go and get her.
Remember to let her into your heart,
Then you can start to make it better.
So let it out and let it in, hey Jude, begin,
You're waiting for someone to perform with.
And don't you know that it's just you, hey Jude, you'll do,
The movement you need is on your shoulder.
Hey Jude, don't make it bad.
Take a sad song and make it better.
Remember to let her under your skin,
Then you'll begin to make it
Better better better better better better, oh.

For the record: John harmonises with Paul in verses 3 and 4. I love the way his harmony starts lower than Paul, then jumps to a higher line. It’s instinctive and great.
The ‘aah’s’ in the second verse and bridges are a three-part harmony overdub: Paul high, John middle, George low.

Legendary melody, armony and tempo. The vocal's melody is clearly influenced by black singers, motown singers, blues, soul singers like ray charles, little richard, elvis presley, etc., etc. The church, the god's music is on us, the human race. So, any songs based on that, it's gonna be a N1 Hit Song of Billboard 100.

I never picked up on Paul singing, "good evening ladies and gentlemen" on the Fade Out. How did you isolate this so well?

      @RaditudeTV1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

I used the website melody .ml to isolate it and used the 2015 mix of the song

2 mins and 58secs in , fucking hell can be heard on a mid track range , the sound engineer did not catch it , but the kingsmen in 1963 with Louie Louie , their drummer dropped one of his sticks on the floor and said fuck, its on the single and a drum fill was late and front man lost his timing but all left in and was a big hit
