I'm a nurse and the misdiagnosis thing is real, it takes so many doctors and nurses to provide care before someone comes along and identifies the correct and amendable underlying problem/s, all the while most providers shrug off the same red flags under the guise of previous or current diagnoses. No, everybody can't be a perfect or top of the line health care professional with infinite knowledge, but this type of behavior is prevalent and it's acceptance has grave consequences on the majority of people in these powerless situations, when all it takes to fix it better education.
