Im here after watching like 10 videos of this song and now i have to watch this movie again after I watched it in 1994. Thats 26 years later. Thats a young persons lifetime. That is someone who was born , went to school, graduated got married at 22 had a baby, divorced at 25 and now is on drugs lifetime. I just hope i can cope with watching it because the first time i watched it in 94 i was a teen and i was in love, so I didn’t really care about the emotional side if this movie. Now at 45, i went through divorce my wife left me i got on drugs and alcohol for about 2 years until i found my new girlfriend and she sobered me up and ive been clean ever since i met her so this song and movie hits home now. Except my disease wasnt aids, it was wanting to commit suicide but my daughter saved me from those ugly thoughts. She thinks im her hero but in reality she is mine.
No man is stronger than the man who has risen from his doom.Who shook hands with the worst version of himself saying I am better.You're that someone and what I say may be a voice in the wind but I say you're the hero,you've conquered your worst fears and addictions with help of course but remember everyone doubts themselves everyone once in a while,I bet there is a lot who thought their lives has no meaning and it's better to end it but you yourself had seen what can come out of a broken and fallen man,let that be a living reminder that you are better than yesterday. 👍
I struggle to listen to this song without it absolutely breaking down the emotional walls. I haven't been through the divorce situation but I've made some really bad choices in life through depression. Alot of the lyrics in the song I can reflect on especially not recognising the person I see in the mirror sometimes. Regardless of whether the movie itself and the song which together are absolute heartfelt classics and could bring out the emotion in the coldest of people. Reading your story while listening to this really brought it out of me alot more. Life isn't an easy task but you have gone through the storm and come out on the other end of it with support from those close to you. I really hope in the future that light continues to shine for you and the dark days stay diminished. All the best fella 🙏🏻

I'm positive for the HIV virus . I was infected in July 1999 ( almost 25 years ) . I believed the wrong person . In my case still , thank God , I didn't have any oportunistic disease .
My brother was infected with hep c from a junkie with a needle. What he went through during that time words can't describe. I'm so happy he's OK now.. not too ok he's head is so screwed. Its not his fault.
