Seriously I’m down the highway in San Antonio, and I’ve always wondered if those who run up north, would be able to run their same paces down here in the south.
Glad you got to experience running in Austin!! Lady Bird lake early in the morning is a gift!! Seeing all the other runners and walkers is a huge motivator
Absolutely love these runner weekend videos! You are such a great athlete and creator in the running space. I cannot wait to join one of these events later this year! Have fun in Paris Michael!
Hey, you brought my quip about how running in Texas summers makes me look like I just got out of the pool into real life! Also...you looked like you'd been swimming either way. 😋
I’ve had a couple invitations, but I’ve been declining since Berlin is coming up soon. I’ve been wanting to stay on the roads a bit more than usual for this summer
While it was in The Woodlands, I did Ironman Texas back in 2015. I don't know what the temperature, humidity or dew point was during the race but at midnight when I was traveling back to my hotel, I checked my phone, and the dew point was in the 70's. It was a steamy race day that I'll never forget. Mad props to all that run in that stuff on a regular basis! I'll stick to my upper midwest temps
It’s bigger (not sure if it would fit in my shorts while running) Also, I shoot Sony a6700 for vlogs and sports, Sony FX30 for studio work, and Sony 6300 as my livestream cam. I thought it would make for easier integration into workflow to stay with Sony
Great video as always and thank you adding that tech info about how to still capture content with restriction. Also welcome to the south, humidity hits different down here 😅😅😅
Not sure why, but when my running motivation gets at a low point, turning on kofuzi content or nick bare content is a guarantee to get my batteries going again, thanks for the vid kofuzi!
Could you give some advice? I used to be a big runner in the military, long story short, I got out due to terrible plantar fasciitis. I had surgery on both feet, and 4 years later they feel much better. I'm looking for a shoe recommendation for Universal Studios. A lot of walking and STANDING in line. Every year, my feet feel destroyed standing in those lines. A week of walking and standing still. I don't run anymore unfortunately, just take my dogs on long walks. Thanks in advance!
I don't know if heat really is a poor man's elevation, but I do know we have plenty of the former in Texas. We do acclimate, since we have no choice😜. Nice video, as always.
It isn’t, coming from someone living at 7900+ ft, where it sometimes also gets quite hot (yes, it’s dry in the mountains here but the radiance of the sun is extreme). Two different things but I’ve also lived in a hot humid summer climate and I know how rough that is.
A point and shoot with a larger sensor would be ideal. Like a micro 4/3 sensor. Like Panasonic lx 100 or something or a canon pns either fixed zoom lens. Better lowlight and picture looks a little prettier.
i went to visit my friend in austin last year in september. i set my new record for hottest run in 106 temp heat, those summers are extra wild out there
I think it’s funny when people come to explore Austin Tx and all they talk about is how HOT is . 95 degrees is perfect wait’till you feel the triple digits. 😮😅 -Austin Native
It feels a little weird saying the really long section about some phone isn't sponsored when there's an affiliate link.....and it's the longest section of the whole video....maybe just me..
It’s more of an explanation of how and why I shoot with the things that I do. And I mention that it’s not sold in the US to explicitly disclaim whether it can be used as a phone here
bro really tried to call it town lake LOL, Not even that hot down here this summer. Nobody that lives here thinks about the heat when going out or making plans, you just sweat for half the year when youre outside your house
Someone asked me if I was going to run town lake. And I was like Lady Bird? And they were like, yeah. So I don’t know. 🤷🏻♂️ I just do as the locals do. Also, if we’re going to get technical, Lady Bird Lake ain’t a lake, but I roll with it.
4:00 I'm sorry what? Security wasn't letting in a camera with a lens for people with media credentials? I find it hard to believe security would not allow a normal camera for the regular crowd. Are you saying that if a parent was watching their child run these Olympic trials they couldn't pack a zoom lens in the audience? That sounds terrible.
It's kind of nice seeing other runners experiencing the heat of Austin. It's rough out here
For real
Seriously I’m down the highway in San Antonio, and I’ve always wondered if those who run up north, would be able to run their same paces down here in the south.
runner's weekend vlogs are the best!
Cartoons and cereal in the morning as a kid. Coffee and Kofuzi's Runners Weekend videos as an adult.
Glad you got to experience running in Austin!! Lady Bird lake early in the morning is a gift!! Seeing all the other runners and walkers is a huge motivator
7:29 As an Austin native, I involuntarily burst into applause when you said "Town Lake"
Came here for this comment!
Same 😂
Thanks to you and Ascis, we get to enjoy these runner’s weekend vids back to back. Appreciate your hard and excellent work, Mike!
Thanks for watching!
Definitely one of the best eating channels on YT, I like the fact he puts some running in too 😉
Love that singlet.
Runners Weekend never disappoints.
Keep it coming
Thanks Michael!
So happy to see my hometown capture some beautifully 😊 Makes me nostalgic for my runs around town lake.

People talk about training in altitude as an advantage, but training in Texas heat is also a major boost for sure.
I returned home to unseasonably mild temps (high in the mid 70s), and I felt unstoppable
Right? Every summer I wonder why I can't seem to get faster and every fall I turn into Usain Bolt.
Always a pleasure to watch these Runner's Weekends when I’m on the TM😊
Glad to help the miles pass quickly!

Got to love that summer running. I always look like a fell in a puddle afterwards.
I was in Austin for SXSW and I'm looking forward to going back to check out all the cool spots I missed out on the first time.
so so great to see you brother! until next time❤
great to see you and thanks for stopping by the event!
Man wish Jami was still in the fold.
I am surprised he wasn’t there doing photography
So good! Any euro big mountain trips planned this summer/fall?

I don’t know how Texans do it
3:31 why you didn't choose a S24 Ultra, for example?
It’s bigger (not sure if it would fit in my shorts while running)

Hey! Welcome to my city! If you ever get the chance, the Austin Marathon and the CapCity 10k are lots of fun
It's the Sony Xperia for me, that thing was amazing! Austin looked fantastic, and I'm looking forward to the Olympic coverage
Nice of change to see Kofuzi doing a quick mobile phone review. Would love to see more!
R u using insta 360 camera while running ?
yes. see description for all the cameras used

Happy running!
Summers in the south is a doozy! 😮💨 We crank the AC and take multiple body showers in a day 🤣 Loved watching this!
I don’t know how you run in this
the bathroom wall is really creative!
I liked it
What are those dope sunglasses you wearing around 9’30 in the video? 👌😎

Just made it to Austin for a UT visit, but I wish I was there for this event too
I am interested to learn about your experiences with the Sony Xperia 1VI as a travel camera.
Great Video!
Go.....Kofuzi.....Go......Here is my Like. Happy weekend.
Thanks!

What are your thoughts on the Xperia after using it for awhile ? would be nice to do a follow up on that.
I followed it up in the Paris Runner's Weekend video. I don't love it
@@kofuzi just saw it, That footage looks mushy, not what i expected. Great coverage though 🔥
Thx for taking me along, loved the variety of food. I forgot to ask if you were nervous riding in the driverless car in SF.
I was at first, but it’s amazing how quickly I started to trust it
@@kofuzi it looked neat
I live in socal, I do not try to run when it is 90° F or above. I don't know how you guys do it in TX.
Any plans for teaming up with Asics and visiting us here in Norway?
it might be hot in Austin, but it does look like a cool city for running.
It’s a great place for running
Let’s goo just got done logging 5 mile run with my son
🙌
Chris from ASICS is the man!
I did a push up for every time you said “it is hot” and now I’m sore ❤
A point and shoot with a larger sensor would be ideal. Like a micro 4/3 sensor. Like Panasonic lx 100 or something or a canon pns either fixed zoom lens. Better lowlight and picture looks a little prettier.
My Sony a6700 with a 50mm lens isn’t much bigger than those options. I have a feeling security is just looking for anything “big,” fixed lens or no
Please please do a Fort Worth, TX visit!!!
It gets even hotter in August
i went to visit my friend in austin last year in september. i set my new record for hottest run in 106 temp heat, those summers are extra wild out there
It doesn’t make sense
Lol spotted myself running 😂 and yes the heat and humidity is a normal Texas summer run 🥵🥵
got to get it in the morning or its a wash for me. too hot out here.
Damn crazy to see Joe in this video
Such a lovely coincidence
are you going to watch the olympics in Paris? Please make a vlog and share with us asap! thanks! :)
Yes. I’ll be there from the 5th to the 11th
Are we going to have a runners’ weekend in Minneapolis 😊❤❤
Yes

I don’t want to know what that feels like
Yo, what’s going on!! 😳😳 Austin showed up 👍🏼
Yo Luis!
nice video!
Dang, didn't even realize there was a group run.
Shout out to Jamison Micheal. We miss you, dude!
I Just Ran 14.25 Miles Today!!! In Texas!!!
More than I could handle
Warm? You forgot Budapest last year…? 😊
The runs were hot but not this hot
Only 95 in Texas? I'm sad to say that's like spring.
🤠
Did you say it was Hot in Austin? 😅
It bears repeating
It feels a little weird saying the really long section about some phone isn't sponsored when there's an affiliate link.....and it's the longest section of the whole video....maybe just me..

@@kofuzi Every lake in texas is a dammed up river except 1 swamp lake in east texas, so it is indeed a lake.

In 20 years all summer running in Austin will have to be done at night.
FIRST YOOOOO!!!!
Yo!!!

Yup
Also, no non-clear water bottles
@@kofuzi Wow. That's amazing. I feel bad for the spectators. Especially the amateur photographers.
Precious minutes spent on phone…… why oh why
I love it how people are watching a literal vlog and are like, when will he get to the serious stuff?
No burger ANYWHERE is worth $17...and $7 for vegan onion rings???? 😂 Nahh this place ain't for me
I agree it's not for you
Ohhhhh…@kofuzi with phone unboxing…that’s new😂. Watch out @unboxtherapy 😅😅
