What happens when you cap personal storage and the user already has three times that amount? Can they move files out? Is everything frozen for them? Can they save a new document or are they stuck with unsaved work that might be sensitive?
Just wondering if you had any idea why a shared drive with a limit of 10 TB and only using 100 GB would indicate it is full? The pooled workspace storage for the organization is 100 TB and it's using 17.78 TB, but the shared folder keeps getting the message "Shared drive storage full … All 100 GB for Media Files has been used. To continue, clean up space or manage storage"
This is not good. Some of our users already purchased additional storage individually. Where's that storage gone. For one user it was 130 GB yesterday, now its showing 30 GB. We have used 2 TB of total 3.22 TB of storage. But users are getting the warning message Account storage full. You should inform us before you make a change. Otherwise you should have advised the resellers to inform us. Both didnt happen. And where's the money gone for the additional storage purchased??
I just want to purchase additional google drive storage. Been 30 minutes and had to resort to TH-cam, and still can't figure out how to do such a simple thing. Why is google making it so complicated?
You can go to Google admin > Users > choose the user > Scroll down until you see the Licenses > There's a dropdown of how much storage you want to apply. I hope it works.
Individual Google Drive Storage - Google has removed the option to renew. Even partners are not able to offer the same for new domains. Further, Google Workspace business starter is not having any option of pool storage. so users are not able to go beyond 30 GB space. This is insane when many users are using individual storage space and their account size is more than 30 GB how will they work. Upgrading to Google workspace standard is not viable for small companies. As that will add more financial burden. To make life easier Google should enable pooled storage even on Google Workspace Business Starter plans as then buying more licenses getting added to pool storage, will solve the trouble. In every organization there are some users who hardly use storage space and some are heavy users requiring more storage. Google should at least enable hybrid model for Google Workspace where organization may mix and match licenses as per their user requirement. Hope someone listens and acts fast.
Is there a way to simply add more storage. I'm a one man show who bought google workspace via hostgator so I could have my own domain at the end of my email address. I need to add more storage bc 30gb isn't enough but can't figure out how to
How about a video detailing how to delete things from storage. What things count in storage and how they get there. I put nothing into storage yet I'm approaching the 30GB limit. Where is this stuff and how did it get there??

Exactly, we can't buy storage for one user no more?
Google is Evil 🙈😮
Indeed it supports the work of NGOs for having storage space
Thanks for 4:23 :) privacy and safety of files and documents, from admin access
Totally Agreed. Thanks Google for this privacy decision.

So....how do we do this for just a single individual user?
Looks like you can't :| good job google....
does it take long for a group to have the limit increased ?
300 GB of free storage that we cannot access - and nothing to tell us how to fix the issue
