Wonderful video, I am a 68 year old American Indian, and on April 5, 2024 I made a decision to quit drinking and take control of my health. Today is 300 days AF, and I have lost 33 pounds, I plan to lose 15 more pounds. What a difference those 30 pounds have made. I feel light, healthy, I can move, if I fall (which I have this winter), i can get up off the ground without someone helping me. I take Mounjaro and it has made all the difference, also seeing a nutritionist my food goals are 80 grams of protein a day, 25 grams of fiber and 64 ounces of water. I have found that when I am looking to meet dietary goals it is a different mindset than then deprivation/diet. Celebrate every lb. and when those non-scale victories come celebrate them too. I bought a ring in Ashville NC by an artisan that didn't fit, 5 years later I can wear it comfortably. Love your videos CONGRATULATIONS.
53 year old nurse here, and congrats! on the 7 pounds. Just remember to work on maintaining the muscle mass, which we lose quickly after menopause anyway. Good luck on the journey.
Losing muscle mass is common on Ozempic so make sure you eat a lot of protein and keep active. When I was taking it, I did not crave food at all and found I needed to force myself to eat high protein food. One of the side effects was that my iron dropped too low. And rather than take a supplement, I started eating more of a carnivore diet, which we shall see if it helps during my next blood work
Amen Sister. In my early 70's I had a large clot in calf of leg. I ignored what i thought was muscle pain for 3 days + was very busy attending a County fair everyday. On a Monday morning after a shower + dressing my breathing became labored. Happened twice so we got an ambulance. From that moment apparently my oxygen wasnt very good as I only have partial memory of the next 2 or 3 hours. Hospital blood work was done + i was moved to a cardiac unit. I stood up to get weighed, had labored breathing again + I'm told died 3 times...so CPR 3 times which caused broken ribs. Kidneys shut down therefore about 5 weeks of dialysis but thankfully kidneys came back. A few hematomas. I was in the hospital 23 or 24 days which is pretty unheard of these days. Took me 6 mos to feel more like myself + a long recovery road it was. So, folks, listen to your body as you age. Exercise, water, water, water for those kidneys. Also...Declutter your home before your unable to...Only keep the things you "actually" need + use. Take pictures of special items you no longer need + pass on. Enjoy retirement in your 60's if you are able because 70's are around the bend. How am I now? I get new walking tennis shoes about every 6 months + try to walk at least 30 minutes 6 days a week. It's a top priority to fit the walk into my day. Age 80 is around the bend for me! I hope this helps someone out there!
I am a 1965 gal too and we just lost a beloved cousin in less than 3 months from his terminal diagnosis. Why is this info relevant? Mark worked a bit past retirement age as he had added expenses of a marriage separation and kids to put through university later in his life. So he stayed longer in his job, he met his partner later and they hoped to have a long retirement that they had both worked and saved for. Then they both got ill...one had surgery and recovered. One had immunotherapy and then chemo, but didn't recover. Sadly, they didn't get the retirement they both worked so hard for. Your message Jen is an important one - work long enough, plan for retirement but also pay attention to your health on the way, so you give yourself the best chance at enjoying it. Love your channel.
Hi, 59 year old from Mumbai, India. As an introvert i find it draining to receive too many phone calls or having to reply to too many text messages in a day. They mess with my mental equilibrium and another thing i am discovering is that the older I grow the less stimulus I need. Calm and inner quiet is my need of the hour. Love your channel, my dear Jen. You open up a different world for me. I realise that we all are so similar and yet so different. 😊❤️
Even if you’re healthy, you still have to work harder at it as you age! I’ve really had to dial in my nutrition, sleeeeeeeep and not just exercise, but strength training and mobility.
It means a lot. I really agree with you-it would be amazing if more of this kind of information was available to younger generations earlier. There’s so much to learn about health, mindset, and well-being, and the sooner we have access to that knowledge, the better. It’s awesome that you’re finding strength and clarity now, and your experiences can definitely serve as a guide and inspiration for others, too. Hello there, How's your day going? I hope your day has been as wonderful as you are. Take care and have a wonderful day! 😊✨
Superb video!! I’m 71 and very mindful of my health and finances as someone who’s been retired for many years now. Recently my husband moved to a memory care home so now my life has changed even more. Congrats on losing 7lbs 🎉
I hit 40 at the end of 2023 and noticed my eyesight wasn't as good as it was and had tingly feelings in my toes and calf pain at night. I got the eyesight checked out and needed glasses but like most blokes ignored the rest until the end of 2024 when I finally went to the docs. Turns out I had high cholesterol and severe type 2 diabetes. I'm on statins and diabetes meds and had a very strict 6 weeks over Christmas; bringing my cholesterol back down to normal and reducing the severity of the diabetes. I think it's important for both sexes whatever age to get checked out whenever something isn't right. I hope the weight loss journey continues well for you the meds don't have any weird side effects!
@@robinp2039 I stripped rice, pasta, potato and bread out for 6 weeks and it worked wonders. I now limit them and switched from white to granary bread. I also ate far too many sweets so they have been ditched.
Thank you Jen another great video. Eyesight is a big one for most ageing folks. I had cataracts removed last year and it was life changing. I realised just how much I had missed being impaired. Things like wrinkles on my face and the wall splatters near the stove I had not noticed before. Wow and eye opener. I am 70 and experiencing all the symptoms you describe and the same amount of weight to lose. I'm trying to do it by changing my eating habits and intermittent fasting. Following your journey and wish you great success.
I'm going through so much right now I cannot put it in to words. But I am with you Jen in trying to take control of my health. It's an uphill battle for sure, but one day at a time and we will both make it!! Great video!
Great take aways! I understand that any type of 'interaction' tends to drain my social battery, but conversely, I am thankful that I do still have some! Since I retired 3 years ago, my social circle has shrunk to almost nil. I'm very introverted and going 'out' just to go out has no 'plus' for me. I'd rather be content in my own surroundings. I am 67 and I've made a focus on my own health a priority for a very long time. Being the primary care giver of my mother her final years was a strong incentive - she wasn't proactive (none of her generation were) about her health and her decline came on fast - largely from not establishing self care earlier on. I enjoy your posts - they echo many of my thoughts.
This is a great video! I'm 77 and have been diabetic (type 2) for one year now. Not on medication yet, but I tend to ignore the diet requirements for this condition, and your video made me stop and think. I need to lose weight and pay attention to what I'm eating, not make excuses for poor decisions any longer. This is a wake up call for me, as well.
Your channel has grown so much Jen! Congratulations! I would say don’t worry about responding to comments or hearting them, certainly not every single one, if it doesn’t feel good for you. These parasocial relationships are bizarre.
Fellow Vancouver Islander. I am also turning 60 this year. 2024 was my health wake up when I found out that I had high ferritin levels (suspected cause was from a tooth infection). In 2024 I did all my health exams for a person of my age, lost 10 pounds with 30 pounds to go. I don't consider myself an introvert, but I am content with my own company. I plan on retiring at 66, but I love my job and the company I work for, so I will work as long as I am happy. I have subscribed to your channel.
Congratulations on your weight loss on your first week! I can tell how happy you are about it and getting started on your goals. I think that everyone has a goal of some kind, especially the older that we get. I love watching you and your dog, Skye, and hearing her bell ringing when you're on your walks. Thanks for sharing all the information with us. God bless 💗
Excellent life lessons...thanks for sharing! At age 66, my only significant health issue was being diagnosed with osteoporosis a couple years ago. I used that as my wake-up call to finally have the basement stairs rebuilt to be safer and less steep, because even a minor fall could be very bad news. It's the kind of thing that needed to be done for 35 years, but there's no point in waiting until I have a bad fall to get the stairs rebuilt!
I love when you said it’s not about how much money I’ll have in retirement. It’s about how much money I’ll need. That sure kind of changes the mindset up a little bit. And I turned 60 in November 2024 and it does make you think about a lot of different things in a different way. I started my TH-cam channel 2 weeks before I turned 60 and I have changed my outlook on my health and my experiences and just the way I deal with things. I am in that I don’t give a darn phase and all the things that used to bother me don’t anymore and I don’t get involved in all the drama of the world. I just go about my little life trying to make it the best life I can. I’m so glad you’re seeing progress already with Ozempic. I wish you well on that journey to better health and your goal of retirement, which I am in the same place. I don’t know if I will work just a couple more years or as many as possible we shall see. I live in the United States and we can start collecting Social Security at age 62 but it’s at a lower amount than if we start at 65 or 70. It might not be enough of a difference to matter because if I pair my Social Security with my retirement account then monthly it might be pretty good at this point, but I do need to get rid of a little more debt first. My husband has no retirement fund and his Social Security check will be lower, but we shall see. I’m going to shoot towards 62 with the reality being 65.
Thank you for the update Jen. Yes, fellow introvert here and digital interaction is just as draining as in person. Even if it’s positive. Energies just come through.
Thanks for the walk with Skye. I love the walks. My husband and I are moving to Campbell River this summer. I am exited, Our son lives in Port Hardy. in my 70s, my health is more vulnerable than in my 60s. I agree that it is important to pay attention, but in these later decades there's a tipping point where if you get every little thing checked out it can consume your life. I know people who do that. Appointment after appointment, test after test. No time for anything else. I know others who let things go if they think it's okay to do so because they would rather spend their time doing things they love. There are consequences, both positive and negative, for each approach.
We have been retired for three full years now, so I have a firm grasp on how much we spend on everything each year. We can live until we are 125 or so, as long as inflation stays under 5%. It Is very reassuring, and means we can have some travel treats in the next few years while we are still healthy.
Well done with the weight loss and good luck going forward - Yes you have to prepare for those great plans. Please don't worry about responding to this message, I'm an introvert too and completely understand.
Congratulations on the weight loss. Well done! I hear you about the little things becoming big things. Getting old is not for wimps! Keep up the good work!!
I am single now because of the loss of my husband of 53 years. I have been working on the "what I need vs. the what I will make for a while now. It is not as easy at it seems. Thanks for your videos, it really gives us a lot to think about and to react.
Same here, when you lose your husband after sol long (married 47 years for me) just having the mental ability to think straight is difficult so finances need to be sorted beforehand - not easy ❤
Lost my partner of 44 years two years ago and the brain fog still hasn't lifted, he passed from dementia, so I had time to evaluate my future without him both emotionally and financially, but it is still difficult, and keep in mind we had our wills and trusts in place and the paperwork is still endless after his death, might have been easier if we were married but that's another story. Keeping a roof over my head, food in the fridge, and paying for necessities are my main concerns, so far so good. Oh, any my late BFF had a heart attack, and her only symptom was a sudden cough, she survived the heart attack but passed after a few years from a massive stroke.
Yes, I find e-mails, phone calls, and texts draining. Not as draining as in person as they are shorter interactions but they do drain my introvert energy bank. You’re not alone in that.
Thanks and congratulations, Jen. You’re not only a smart lady; you’re true to yourself. ‘This above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.’
Congrats on your weight loss. And for thinking ahead about taking care of yourself. Healthwise, what you are struggling with is almost exactly what I have going on. Thanks for sharing.
After begging my sister in law to please go to an ER or immediately see her Dr after she told me she was SOB even upon resting, ( very unlike her, she was active) she opted not to, made an appointment with another Dr for 3 weeks later, she never made it to the appointment, she died in my brother’s arms while he was helping her in the car to go to the Dr. appnt., it was awful. My brother lost the love of his life, his everything of 54 years, she was 72 and had taken care of their business of air b and b’s, cleaned and stocked them, and kept her own home immaculate. They were holistic driven folks so the food program was good also. It can happen anytime to anyone. Please get checked if you have SOB, it can be a life saver.
I have been on the lowest dose of Zepbound for 1 month and I have lost 11 pounds. I just increased my dosage. It’s not about willpower. It’s about hunger.
Appreciate the advice about “little things become big things” Now that I’m in my 40s I’m feeling that and started my channel to ground in prioritizing my own self care! Inspired by your journey. ❤
congratulations on your first week - love your videos - Really appreciate the minute of happy dogs running - they don't know it is cold. You are so easy to listen to.
Little things I am doing: drinking a lot of water before coffee putting drops of apple cider in my water to lower blood sugar spikes walking abut 7000 steps every day to get sunlight Prioritize sleep! I quit alcohol altogether to improve my sleep. Magnesium + Vitamin D Cold showers to improve my mood Remind myself to slow down frequently. ... I am adding only one small habit at a time. It works.
Introvert here, who struggles with communicating - drains my social battery. Turns out, I'm not an introvert (well, kinda...), but I'm actually neurodiverse. Go figure. My whole life makes sense now, (not necessarily easier), but it finally makes sense. Roughly the same age as you. Love your videos.
Good luck with the spreadsheets, Jen. I found it very helpful to do a full year budget (just do a spreadsheet with all the income and spending month by month, where you can do some tweaking for special spending in certain months). It is very exciting to see you are getting close.
Good for you! I am also trying to lose weight as I have many of the health issue affected by weight. When I feel like I'm not making much progress and really want a candy bar, I remind myself that I didn't gain the weight all at one time, so I can't expect to loose it all at one time. Slow and steady. I love your channel! Thank you for your content.
I tracked my expenses for 5 years and used it to determine when I could retire. Once my expenses and estimated retirement income were in the same ballpark, I retired 🙂
Morning Jen! That’s pretty good, 7 pounds in one week. Hope you are feeling well with the medication you are using. I agree with your #3. We do need to take care of business and NOT put health matters off. Have a great week! 😊
Your post is quite timely. Went to ER for high blood pressure NY Eve. Heart seems fine but kidney numbers not good. Following up on health but need to lose the creeping weight. Exercise more, try to live more in joy and read less news. I am very lucky and have always watched calories and good nutrition but age isn’t always kind.thanks for your honesty. I still have difficulty being an introvert with extrovert friends
i so enjoy all that you share. Yes indeed you do not know what the future holds so take care of yourself and sieze the day. Earlier this year my husband was diagnosed with dementia and it is fast progressing. A lot of your solo thing are applying because I am rapidly having to do everything and care giver. You remind me I am a strong capable woman who has got this in control. Congratulations on you weight loss. It is not easy but worth it for your health.
It sounds like you're going through a lot right now, and I admire your strength and resilience. Caring for a loved one with dementia can be incredibly challenging, but it sounds like you’re really holding things together. It’s important to remind yourself that you’re doing amazing, even on the tough days. And thank you for the congratulations! It’s been a journey, but I’m so glad I’ve been able to make progress. Health is a lifelong journey, and I totally agree-it’s worth it. Hello there, How's your day going? I hope your day has been as wonderful as you are. Take care and have a wonderful day! 😊✨
Hi . Those are good topics to think about at our age. Another thing I think we should think about it state of mind. Even at this age, you have a lot to offer /do. So don't think of winding down or rushing. Do the things you like in a healthy manner. Because it's not over till it's over. For example, you started this TH-cam channel and got monetized at 59. Have a great day.
Another thing I have found is that as we get older, our recovery time increases and our time to ‘out of shape’ status gets faster. Example if we stop our daily walks, we will stiffen up sooner (as in days maybe?) than we would if we were younger (maybe it would take weeks?). So taking care of our physical health needs to be #1 top of mind. Excuses are useless, we just need to be paying attention and taking appropriate action to look after our health. As you noticed with your neighbours, small things can quickly become big problems when ignored.
Love seeing your out and about video!!! ❤ and congrats on your goal achievement, the fact you’re aware and taking action will get you there. Yes, I get also drained just from messages alone, yet I also realize that we must pick our poison sort of speak, there’s no right or wrong way to love life, yet if we never socialize at all that’s also somehow detrimental. Any extreme is. Maybe take breaks or only check TH-cam every few days?
You are so right Jen, we must not ignore signs of change, esp with our bodies. I have a genetic disposition towards diabetes and use intermittent fasting to improve insulin sensitivity. Walking is great but I find we also need more stretching, balance and resistance training as we age. We do need to make our health a priority. I live on the other side of the country in Montreal and turned 70 two years ago. Also an introvert but enjoy a weekly Essentrics class (a combo of yoga, tai chi, ballet, pilates and qi gong). Wonderful to see a roomful of senior women moving so gracefully in rhythm with the music. I appreciate your down to earth approach and honest sharing.😊
I’m 52 hoping to end the rat race by 60 with above $1M. I know money is a liability to be exchanged for assets with real value like real estate (properties for rent) stocks (dividends) bonds (interest) But, what is it with bitcoin? I hear a lot about it and I'd love to diversify my portfolio.
look at the charts, bitcoin has outperformed every stock and banking product ever developed even after multiple pullbacks over the last decade. not a financial advisor but I know what i'm saying
The key to financial stability is having the right investment suggestions for a diverse portfolio. Many investment failures and losses happen when you invest without proper guidance.
I went from no money to lnvest with to busting my A** off on Uber eats for four months to raise about $20k to start trading with Evelyn Infurna. I am at $128k right now and LOVING that you have to bring this up here
Evelyn Infurna Services has really set the standard for others to follow, we love her here in Canada 🇨🇦 as she has been really helpful and changed lots of life's
Well done on the weight loss, that's a fantastic start 👍. One thing thats really supposed to help with our health is avoiding ultra processed foods, apparently it does all sorts of bad things to us, from gut health to disrupting hormones. I'm, like you, also conscious about the need to look after ourselves as we get older, I'm 62 in Feb (still surprises me, I don't feel old but it sounds it 😄) and am telling myself to do more exercise, and stretching, we need to do more stretching 🙂. Currently on the hunt for some new walking boots so I can go further. (UK) Oh, and I hate texting, takes me forever to type anything!!
You can definitely call yourself a TH-camr. I really enjoy your channel. We have so much in common, I think we would totally be friends in real life. 😊
I do a workout every day, alternating yoga and weight lifting. Both are great for releasing tension, aiding sleep hygiene, building strength and breath, and keeping your balance so you don't fall down (which happens a lot to older people). It also will take up the loose skin you'll experience from your weight loss.
Oh wow- this is a Very good thing to know. I honestly wouldn’t have guessed that it would feel draining to respond to comments, though I see that you have a lot of engaged viewers, so maybe I should have imagined it would be a lot. Thank you for sharing this!!!
Thanks Jen for this video. Yes as an introvert interaction on social media does drain me. Also when doing retirement calculations do it as a single person. Your partner might not be there to help with the expenses. Sad thought but realistic...
Great advice. I am in the same boat with your ailments but am 15 years older and retired already. The money I had for my plans in retirement didn’t last long enough to do everything I hoped to do and now with everything so expensive I fear I may run out before I want it to. Plans are great to have but so many factors can alter them. If I were in your shoes I would retire earlier rather than later and start enjoying things now and not worry as much about how much money you will need. A dear friend of mine had all the money saved and invested but unfortunately passed one year after he retired so you never know.
Woohoo! Congrats on losing 7lbs. I've been trying to lose some weight too and found some inspiration in your last video - started doing a nice big walk every day. I can totally relate with finding texting and messaging people a bit draining - I try my best but it can get a bit tiring. I'm 33 now, and I'm always excited to see your videos because it's great to hear other women's thoughts and learn how other women are navigating through life - helps me get some clarity on how I want to do so.
Hey Jen. Thx for the share. I think your wellness journey is great, and everything you said about focusing on getting your health in order will reap benefits for all your future travels and journey's. Im looking forward to see you keep smiling and flourishing ❤. Kimberly
Agree: virtual interaction is still interaction that can consume energy. My takeaway for 2024 is that now, AS NEVER BEFORE, I am mindful of the necessity for me, a solo woman, to do everything I can to be on my feet so that I, and no one else, am able to take care of myself. I also would like to make the remainder of my life its most conscious, the calmest, the most satisfying part.
I am glad you are looking at you health. Just remember start slow keep track of what your doing. your good at spread sheets. Most important you can't stop a habit but you can replace it with a healthier one. When you screw up don't use it as an excuse to quit. Good luck!!
Great Video Jen! I'll be turning 60 this year too in March. Learning lessons all the time. Many I wish I would have learned and understood much earlier in life. Also embarking on a weight loss journey so I can show up as my best self in the second half. Also still working full time in tech. I hope to ride that pony as long as I can 🤣😆I like my job and paycheck 🤣 All the best!!!
I find texting or messaging almost more stressful than other interactions because I feel like my words are more open to judgment than a spoken word. It takes me ten times as long to communicate in writing.
Yes. Women's heart attack symptoms are different. My mother was vomiting profusely and thought it was a stomach bug, but she was having a heart attack.
Please...instead of wasting all of your money on co-payments for western medicine which has a motive to keep you sick, spend a little on a naturopathic doctor. I know it's probably, "out of pocket," but it's your health, your body. Doctors and pharma have zero incentive to get you well...they profit by you being a life-long customer.

I turned 60 earlier this month and am really working on my health. I'm trying to do resistance exercises and stretching several times a week. My freaking tailbone is acting up so I can't ride my recumbent bicycle, so I'm doing a stepper. I'm terrified of getting frail and then living in that state for a long time.
Congrats on the weight loss. Though I am older than you I have just now started to realize that good health is no longer guaranteed. I'm losing weight and have started physical therapy to deal with muscle weakness in my legs. I always thought that someday I would get serious about exercise. That day has arrived.
I agree! You mentioned this but I'd like to emphasize spending time with your parents. My mom died last year and my dad is in very poor health. Thanks for providing great content on your channel!
Absolutely on the drain. I also am silver, solo, introvert and do social for a couple clients and a volunteer tech group. I absolutely find it exhausting.
Great video! I just made my annual exams needed. I’m a Type 2 diabetic as well and at 54 things tend to change faster than before. My doctor slowly increased my Mounjaro to 10mg and my appetite and cravings are significantly lower. But I will say the week and a half I missed of the injection because the pharmacy was out made my appetite increase so much. Learn the willpower to not give into cravings and manage what you eat for when you do come off Ozempic. 😊👍
It’s awesome that you’re staying on top of your health and getting those annual exams done! Managing Type 2 diabetes, especially when you’re dealing with changes in your body, can be tough, but it sounds like you're being proactive. Mounjaro has really helped a lot of people with both appetite and cravings, so it’s great to hear it’s making a difference for you. I can definitely imagine how missing the injection might have been tough-when the cravings come back, it’s a reminder of how much of an impact these treatments can have. It’s awesome that you’re focusing on willpower and managing what you eat for the future, too. Finding that balance can make such a huge difference in the long run. Hello there, How's your day going? I hope your day has been as wonderful as you are. Take care and have a wonderful day! 😊✨
Congratulations and thanks for posting this! I appreciate and need the inspiration!
Wonderful advice. Striving to meet nutritional goals- especially *macro nutrient goals* like that 80 grams of protein goal is key. Very inspiring😊
Congratulations, big steps😊
Congratulations on your change of life style. You go girl!! 😊
That’s wonderful, Marilyn! And inspiring. Thank you for sharing.
Your channel could be a guide for younger generations. I wish I'd had some of this information in my 20's and 30's.
Yessss
It means a lot. I really agree with you-it would be amazing if more of this kind of information was available to younger generations earlier. There’s so much to learn about health, mindset, and well-being, and the sooner we have access to that knowledge, the better. It’s awesome that you’re finding strength and clarity now, and your experiences can definitely serve as a guide and inspiration for others, too.
Hello there, How's your day going? I hope your day has been as wonderful as you are. Take care and have a wonderful day! 😊✨
Yes, to an introvert, texting, commenting, blogging, are all energy expensive. People who say but that's not real engagement are not getting this!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Superb video!! I’m 71 and very mindful of my health and finances as someone who’s been retired for many years now. Recently my husband moved to a memory care home so now my life has changed even more. Congrats on losing 7lbs 🎉
Nice
Respectfully, stop eating carbs. Be well.
@@robinp2039There is more to good health than eliminating carbohydrates, but it’s a good start.
@@robinp2039 I stripped rice, pasta, potato and bread out for 6 weeks and it worked wonders. I now limit them and switched from white to granary bread. I also ate far too many sweets so they have been ditched.
I, too, am an introvert. So I understand. Which is why you don't get too many comments from me. Although I enjoy your videos very much. 😊
Same. #introvert
Health issues comes with age
@@Cali-64 not necessarily
Great work! You are off to a great start. Loved seeing the dogs playing. So joyful.
@@alexlorenz7 I find they can be very supportive as long as you remember there is a real person behind every comment.
@@sactopyrshep I do agree, but I think the volume must be overwhelming as someone's channel grows.
Yes Jen as an introvert, all interactions that are expected are a lot.🇨🇦🙋♀️
Hello there, How's your day going? I hope your day has been as wonderful as you are. Take care and have a wonderful day! 😊✨
Thanks, Jen. Well said!
Yessss. Well said
Fellow Vancouver Islander.
And now you can go down and up those stairs a couple of times a day. Great exercise!
Enjoyed hearing Sky's bell ringing again in the background while you walked and talked to us.
Thank you for sharing. Shalom
I am Cuban, I live in Spain and I really enjoy your videos!!!
Congratulations on the weight loss. Well done! I hear you about the little things becoming big things. Getting old is not for wimps! Keep up the good work!!
Great to see your subscriber and viewer numbers going up!
Hello there, How's your day going? I hope your day has been as wonderful as you are. Take care and have a wonderful day! 😊✨
Sorry for your loss! Pls what is SOB?
@@Oscar_Dakota short of breath
@ thank you,. SOB is the abbreviation for shortness of breath used in the healthcare field.
I have been on the lowest dose of Zepbound for 1 month and I have lost 11 pounds. I just increased my dosage. It’s not about willpower. It’s about hunger.
Love your channel Jen and many congratulations on losing 7lbs - well done! 🇬🇧
Hello there, How's your day going? I hope your day has been as wonderful as you are. Take care and have a wonderful day! 😊✨
Appreciate the advice about “little things become big things” Now that I’m in my 40s I’m feeling that and started my channel to ground in prioritizing my own self care! Inspired by your journey. ❤
Love this video, back out with your dog, walking and talking. Agree re introversion and online interaction! ~ Nan
Congrats on losing the 7 lbs! That's awesome! I'm looking forward to seeing your journey to a healthier you in the year to come. :)
congratulations on your first week - love your videos - Really appreciate the minute of happy dogs running - they don't know it is cold. You are so easy to listen to.
Gorgeous seeing the dogs 🐕 😍 they really love playing and walking together...lovely ❤
Yes since my 50s and now 65 I find any form of communication very draining...Great vids Jen and a Blessed 2025 to you and all your community here🙏✨
Another great video. Thank you.
Little things I am doing:
drinking a lot of water before coffee
putting drops of apple cider in my water to lower blood sugar spikes
walking abut 7000 steps every day to get sunlight
Prioritize sleep! I quit alcohol altogether to improve my sleep.
Magnesium + Vitamin D
Cold showers to improve my mood
Remind myself to slow down frequently.
❤ Awesome message today. Thank you.
Hello there, How's your day going? I hope your day has been as wonderful as you are. Take care and have a wonderful day! 😊✨
Thanks for sharing your wisdom and well done on losing 7lbs 🎉
i so enjoy all that you share.
This video channel is perfect for me! I’m starting Wegovy next Monday!
Congratulations on the weight loss, Jen. Keep at it until you reach your goal.
Great advice! Thank you!❤
I loved her advice
I always so like forward to your videos.
Just keep sharing
I’m 52 hoping to end the rat race by 60 with above $1M. I know money is a liability to be exchanged for assets with real value like real estate (properties for rent) stocks (dividends) bonds (interest) But, what is it with bitcoin? I hear a lot about it and I'd love to diversify my portfolio.
bitcoin does not pay any yield but will reward you with growth that you can't find in any other asset class
look at the charts, bitcoin has outperformed every stock and banking product ever developed even after multiple pullbacks over the last decade. not a financial advisor but I know what i'm saying
The key to financial stability is having the right investment suggestions for a diverse portfolio. Many investment failures and losses happen when you invest without proper guidance.

(UK)
Oh, and I hate texting, takes me forever to type anything!!
Lovely voice, interesting topics. Thanks Jen! 🙏
Well done great video, I am turning sixty this year too
You can definitely call yourself a TH-camr.
I really enjoy your channel. We have so much in common, I think we would totally be friends in real life. 😊
Thank you again Jen. Again wonderful comments.
We are rooting for you Jen God Speed❤😊
Hello Jen, I enjoy walking. Congratulations. On the weight loss. Pretty cold. Sorry you have ailments. Yes our health is important. 💕NonnaGrace 🐓
Great video!
LOL, but Jen, I do need a million dollars! 😅 Focusing on our health and well being is so important. Stay awesome and real! 👍😎🇨🇦🐾☀️
Great advice! Congratulations on the weight loss! 🎉
I find texting or messaging almost more stressful than other interactions because I feel like my words are more open to judgment than a spoken word. It takes me ten times as long to communicate in writing.
Thanks for sharing.
Yes. Women's heart attack symptoms are different. My mother was vomiting profusely and thought it was a stomach bug, but she was having a heart attack.
Thanks! You are an inspiration! I’m going to go walk in the mist to clear my mind.

Congratulations on the 7lbs .

Hi Jen, Do you use a c-pap machine for the sleep apnea? Just curious how that is because I have sleep apnea but haven't gotten a machine yet.
Energy is energy, whether it's in person or virtual, so it's no surprise that interaction can tax your energy.

As you get older your matabolisem slows which can cause problems with wounds, also keep your eyes open for stoke symtoms.
