He may have appealed to the ladies, and that may have been a gimmick according to the agents and producers back in the day, but Neil did not need that to succeed...We as women just love the message, the honesty, the truthfulness, his artistry, the purity of being true to himself is what makes him sexy, and keeps his fans there 40 years later...male or female...Neil Diamond is an artist that I respect. If I could meet him, I would not be a groupie, I would just love to say "Thank you" for making your music touch me and so many lives...and I would love to just look him in the eye, and move on. He is human like the rest of us, but with the exception that he had the courage to be 100 % true to himself. So rare.

I was hoping this was from LATG but I'm about as sure as I can be that on the album, during this incredible song, his voice cracks once and I was a teenager the first time I played that album, it's gray now from the hundreds of times it was played well into the night through headphones, but when his voice makes that one crack, it just doubles my heart rate. He is so handsome and sexy. The first song I heard on the radio was Cracklin Rosie and I've loved him ever since that first time.
