I don’t really care about the POTZ or the cowbell (and I *NEVER* thought I’d ever say that in my life), but those Street Cans and that Trash Snare sound freaking awesome!!!!!!!!!!! I don’t know if they still exist, though.
I've played these live and properly tuned they really growl; love `em! This whole series is interesting - the Potz are great in and of themselves, and the various attachments (jingles, snares, shakers, etc.) are a great idea, and can be used on any drum with a metal rim (they're magnetic), not just these LP Raws. I'm looking forward to not only buying myself the snare, but literally making a whole drum kit out of them.
I just bought the Trash Snare on GC used for $20. Needless to say, it's just a novelty item. It just sounds... Weird. The snare attachment is really subtle, the plastic beads don't improve the sound at all, and it comes with a clear Remo UX head that has the characteristics of an Ambassador Snare side head. Does anyone know of a good drumhead for this thing? P.S *insert St. Anger snare joke*
i think this particular demo the drums are just too low, almost loose. i bet if you even semi-cranked the heads these things would be super fun. also, this kind of thing is right in LP's wheelhouse so i'm glad to see it
I am - fur shore -getting the Trash Can Lid Snare. (just ordered, I actually got online looking for Tama Birch or maybe Roland V-Drum) til then gonna stuff my cowbells with jingle bells and other Latin percussion. (My girl new I WANTED A COWBELL , so she bought me AN ACTUAL COWBELL (looks a little different) !AND a freakin’ CAMEL BELL. That thing is cool. I like the three standing floor Toms. I don’t know what crappy millennial “Klown - Knot” BS bands y’all associate that with but the 2 most hardcore bands of all times did that sh!+: the original Butthole Surfers and the most hardcore act of all time: Crash Worship. Throwing fireworks into the crowd, fire dancers setting people on fire, sex in the pit, ..and three drummers with 3 standing atoms each. Good F£##ing Times!...
Huh, probably a bad thing if the things they're talking about sound more exciting than the actual sound of the drums themselves (which sound underwhelmingly like floor toms and latin percussion instead of something exciting, new and different).
I'd prefer if you just play various musical examples instead of all the talking.. Show how this can be applied to make good music... Give a free set to one of those street drummers and show the interested crowd & what can be done.. Looks interesting but I'm not inspired to run out and spend mula on this.. I'm a LP fan for many years, just giving solid advice 👍
All you guys have to do is listen to old Wall of Voodoo and you can hear the drummer playing found objects in alleyways and the streets of LA. Its not really that new.
THIS IS ALL NOT NECESSARY! THIS IS THE FREEDOM FOR THESE INSTRUMENTS! SOUND - VERY BAD! TAKE THESE TIMBALES AND THESE ROTOTOMES AND WILL BE THOUSAND BETTER!
Street performers would be MUCH better off just buying an empty paint bucket from Home Depot or Lowe's and putting one of those bad-ass Remo drum heads on them. These things from LP? Overpriced and sound like sh*t.
Me researching percussion clicking link for video on percussion: "Welcome to Guitar Center!"
Also me: "Wait, what?"

Kinda stop using "kinda" to introduce every question!!
Kinda agree but
I see the drums have those crappy UT heads. I bet everything would sound better with some better drum heads!
