  • Welcome to the TexasHillbilly channel.
In this video we replace leaf spring bushings on our rescue golf cart and enjoy some evening cruises. Then we loaded up some tools and took it on its longest trip for our "Mechanic Mondays" homeschool lesson for the boy. The goal was to repair a Korean War veteran's fence that I met that morning. Hope you enjoyed it.

God bless you boys for being a blessing to others. It's so heartwarming to see that you're raising Sam to one day be the the man he should be. I'm proud of you both.

Well done for teaching your son good values, wish there were more people like you! You have a good few followers now from when you first started. I really hope this grows for you 😊

That was really cool helping out the Korean War Veteran. I did a 12 month short tour while at Kunsan Air Base, South Korea, 1997-1998. Your son not only learned what compassion and empathy is; He experienced it first hand -- you can't learn that in a textbook. That was a much needed safety repair on the golf cart leaf springs!!!!!! That's a fast golf cart!!! Great work on the fence mending!!

Thank you for your service. Yes, homeschool has been a great new chapter for Sam and me as well. Great bonding and opportunities to empower the kids for their future.

Awesome video all the way around. My dad and I just replaced the bushings on our ez go golf cart about a month ago. I’m 34 and we still do things together just like you and your boy. Keep it up sir.

Not too many Korean War vets left. Feller must be up there 80’s or 90’s. He sure needed the help. Might want to stop by once a month or so.

He had to be 90 or so. I ran into him again wince this video. I gave him my contact info and told him to call me any time he needs help with anything. He's a great person.

I have a coworker that seldom uses a hammer.. usually it's one of my tools getting banged up.
I think the swaying afterwards was from the low tire(s)
    Great job!
I think you might have let him know so he doesn't worry about it or go back out there confused.
Your mini-hillbilly is a good guy!

We've been cruising the neighborhood most nights. We were surprised by the number of waves and positive response. Only one angry old man scowled at us.

@@TexasHillbilly most the property is 1/4 acre 100sq meters, then acregas after that, but that's how ridiculous people around here are, it was easier to get away with it in Adelaide city of thousands 😆😅, all the best

Is that your next project vehicle I saw in the driveway? It looks like a 1983-1990 Plymouth Horizon or Dodge Omni ??? I had one for a bout 20 years. I had a 1985 2.2 Liter 5 speed SE Horizon, silver with red interior, it had the feedback electronic carburetor.

TexasHillbilly: You got yourself a French car😮. Kevin Z has a video: Final Days of Production at Kenosha and Craig Strzyzewski: RIP to AMC show the American version of your Omni/ Horizon going down the line. Mr Strzyzzewski video is bit depressing someways, fails too mention UAWs neverending ( then-now) unsustainable demands and building subpar products compared to foreign competition is why M body and L platform production ended.

Yessir! Interesting history on that thing. Video coming as soon as the backordered fuel pump shows up.
