  • Natural ventilation is a sustainable and energy-efficient way to improve indoor air quality and comfort in your home. By using the natural flow of air, you can reduce your reliance on air conditioning systems and save money on your energy bills.
    In this video, we will explore the benefits of natural ventilation and show you how to design and implement natural ventilation systems in your home. We will cover topics such as passive cooling strategies, cross-ventilation, and the use of natural ventilation in different climate zones.

    Great video. But in my country, hot air is just replaced by hotter air.

      It's the temperature difference that matters. Airflow will change accordingly.

      In Iran and other places, they have a wind system called a wind catcher, the air flows through more levels, you might want to look them up, they have been around for centuries, and other countries have similar systems too.

    In a very humid country, this doesn't work at all. That's why air conditioner are mass produced because in humid country, hot air replaced by hot air. there is no cold air unless it was 1am-5am.

      In this case u should close all the windows and curtains early morning so that cool air is trapped inside.. u can then put rain at low speed and ur room will remain cool during day time . Open the windows in the evening

    • @aLwE17
      @aLwE17 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@kuwaitman in a hot and humid country like in the Philippines, a fan just blows the hot air around plus the humidity makes it 100x worse because you are sweating but you aren't cooled off because the sweat can't evaporate as there's too much humidity in the air, the sweat just stays on your skin that traps hot air and makes you feel even hotter and sticky

    • @aLwE17
      @aLwE17 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@johnconnor1652you can't "trap cool air", if you close all the windows in a hot and humid country, the scorching sun makes 40°C(104°F) room temp that will heat all the cool air in less than 10 min.
      In the evening, the sun may be gone but the radiating heat from the ground and the walls keeps everything hot, so the air blowing outside is still hot up until 1am or up
      AC is the only solution, or just survive the weather.

      What you need is DRY air, even at the same temperature. Guess solar air conditioners may be useful. Going to design one for my house

    Windows at 3 feet and ventilators at 0.9 feet is adequate for ventilation. If hot air drifting in is the issue...A desert cooler can be used provided cross ventilation is adequate. If an outdoor unit can be afforded and housed away from direct sunlight.. split airconditioner can be used..

    For those complaining of hotter air, look at buried ventilation pipes that cools the air before it comes inside your home.
    Anything is possible…except for that person in the video that is almost 3m tall! 😊

    Home cooling principles in the hot weather areas are this:
    1)Homes should be built wall to wall.The rooma shouls be preferably dark with no sunlight directly hitting the walls.Windows should be small and less in number.Air flow through windows wont bring down temperature;
    instead,big windows bring in dust and sunlight inside the home,
    making rooms more hot.Western kind of bungalows are worst for temperature management in hot continents.
    2)The gullies btn the row of houses should be narrow.
    3)If possible,the use of RCC and cement should be avoided for constructing the homes.Mud houses are best.
    In short,it is totally wrong to bring the Europian architecture in to the hot Asian cities.

    In the tropic, homes used to be traditionally conatructed with local building materials such as round hardwood for posts, beams etc, bamboo for walls, flooring & palm leaves for roofing. Houses remains cool in the hot day. But of course global warming were unheard of then..😊

    You didn’t touch on skylights. They are high in the ceiling and release hot stale air while at the same time passively drawing in air through the windows below. That….is the stack effect.

    Het beste wat er is,tegen schimmels,en het verplaatsen van lucht dat lijd naar snelle opwarming,als men denkt dat er niet voldoende frisse lucht binnen komt ,kam deze in de morgen voordat men de verwarming aanzet twee deuren gedurende een minuut tegenover elkaar open te zetten.Dit zal voor aanvulling van frisse lucht voldoende zijn,ter aanvulling van doorlichting systeem .CHRIST.

    What's the point of having wind blow at the height of the inhabitants?
    I'd rather let hot air rise and then get pushed out by a wind flow way above my head...
    Also, there's otherwise little reason to have wind flow when the wind that comes in is already body-temperature... Sure, it's better than stagnant air, but it still sucks!
    If you can get wind from a shaded area or use evaporation to your advantage, then it would be a different story...

    • @aleenaprasannan2146
      @aleenaprasannan2146 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's so to help lower body temperature by evaporative cooling of your sweat. You'll cold down much faster in a particular temperature if it's windy, rather than when it's not windy at the same temperature.
      If you only want the wind to pass through the top section, you'll lose out on evaporative cooling as well as removing moisture from everything in your living space...aka mold
